  When I initially activated my Tom Tom GPS (Jan 2012) I did have a problem using Firefox. About 4-6 weeks ago, I tried to update the device and "My Tom Tom" wouldn't go with Firefox. After literally hours trying to make it work, I tried Internet Explorer and the updates took place without a hitch. Today, I had the same problem and after a few failed attempts to use Firefox, IE passed and had no problems. I don't know, but I think I updated my Tom Tom device at least once via Firefox and I think the problem some time after April 2012

  It is probably because you are running a very updated version of Firefox. I have a TomTom, and it works very well with Firefox 15.0.1. Try to update to that and then try again.

  Has anyone else had this problem, seems like thunderbird updated Sept 11/2014, now I can see wisestamp is still present, I can see the signatures that I have created, when I select a signature, it does not add it to the message.

• 10.11.6 - black screen with cursor in security update 2016-001

  Hello

  After installing safety day 2016-001 10.11.6 and reset as part of the installation process, I get a white apple logo, the white line will blink twice and then I get a black screen with white cursor. The cursor moves with the mouse but nothing happens and I do not get the login screen. This happened on my MacBook Pro and my iMac (retina 5K, end of 2014) (2015).

  Any help is greatly appreciated.

  Same problem with iMac 5K, no problems with MacBook 2016 if. Very glitchy update indeed.

  We're set ESR Firefox as default browser in our society. Before we have tested and updated our desktop tools to make sure they work and is displayed correctly with FX. We tested with FX ESR 31.3.

  After the recent release, we now hesitate what version of the browser to deploy: old ESR31 or go directly to the new ESR38.

  Question: what is the risk involved? can we assume that all the apps that worked with the previous version of ESR even would work with the new? Or should we rather re - test applications before you go for the new version and install the ESR31 (which will be soon not supported).

  Please, do not assume! Since you probably have enough challenges, I recommend IS 31.7.0esr, which is the output may. I think there will be an update more in a few weeks, from 31.7.0esr to 31.8.0esr (based on the chart of the roadmap in https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/organ.../faq/). If you have several weeks to prepare thoroughly for ESR 38.

  Here's the reasoning:

  Because the ESR series gets little other than priority security patches updated, there are thousands of changes to the ESR 38 vs ESR 31. It include increased criteria for security protocols and SSL certificates to changes in the way Firefox styles pre tags (it is no longer wrap text unless you used the white-space: pre-wrap style for them).

• I tried to update firefox secuity this morning and got stuck with Voseran off site in Mozilla

  I went directly to Mozilla for updating security settings of Firefox and ended up finding the Vosteran browser. I'm pretty tech savvy and monitored very closely all the things he did and never saw coming until I rebooted and there it was. I took all measures to remove them, even deleted Firefox for now. But you might want to look into this.

  It's very frustrating, I use the paid version of the ultimate AVG virus of the Ant and it's still out there.

  Yes, something is happening - you have probably malware on your pc (via a different infection vector as a download from mozilla.org), that is why I recommended you analyzing your pc with various security tools!

• iPhone 5 has no OS update

  Just tried to update my iPhone 5 IOS 9.3.2 and she failed.  He's been stuck on the apple screen for nearly 24 hours.

  I tried to restore/downgrade it but I can not disable "find my phone" so it will not allow him.

  First, try a forced reboot. Hold down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons at the same time for about 15 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  Then go to settings > general > storage & use iCloud > manage storage (the first) > and if there is an update, delete. Then go to settings > general > Software Update and try again.

  If that doesn't work, try updating through iTunes on your computer.

  I was working in Firefox and instead of the site I was going to, I received the message above with a popup that took me to download URL http://dh45.info/popsh9gng0smncpaon3/lp9b2/uns.php?ubn=ff & keyword = pop_lp9b2_608. This notice also had a different logo from the usual Fox: http://dh45.info/popsh9gng0smncpaon3/images/ff_alt1.png. I was suspicious, so didn't upload. Is it legitimate or not?

  Hello Tom, it is a phishing tactic that tries to trick you into installing malicious software, in order to not download or run this kind of stuff! just download firefox from the official site at mozilla.org - more updates are handled automatically by firefox if you don't have to download anything (you can run a check of updates of firefox > help > about firefox).

  You can also run a full scan of your system with software security already in place and the various tools like the free version of malwarebytes, adwcleaner & kaspersky security scan to make sure there isn't already a kind of active malware on your system that triggers these false alerts.

• Satellite C55T - Ubuntu 14.04 and BIOS update

  Ok. So. In my attempt to install Ubuntu 14.04 to dual boot on my Toshiba Satellite C55t somehow the installation disc erased from my hard drive before that I never even gave the ok to install. If I just install Ubuntu 14.04 on the windows computer's more about it. I want to put Windows on it. That is the problem.

  The version of the BIOS, I currently have is 1.10 so there no start MSC option in a system configuration in the BIOS screens. If the computer has started a few things from CD and USB drives, but it does not start any ISOs windows I've tried. He did start the ISO I have created to update the BIOS to 1.30, but it won't actually run the BIOS flash, because apparently the application is not supported so that it won't run flash. Is a surefire way to install a version of Windows without the MSC boot option? If this is not the case, how can I update the BIOS to 1.30 with Ubuntu 14.04?

  Please let me know. Also why the Toshiba didn't start CSM on 1.10 BIOS option? This is ridiculous.

  Seems there is some confusion about how to start the BIOS and Windows support.
  8.X Windows boots fine in UEFI. In fact, a requirement of the Windows 8 logo program (which Toshiba works on all models of the EMEA) had to bear (and activate) secure boot which is a feature supported by the UEFI only - unlike the CSM boot mode that does NOT support secure boot. Then CSM is not normally enabled on delivered products Win8.X plant.
  So what you're asking for (enabling boot MSC mode) is in fact not necessary.

  As long as we are talking about Windows 8.X.

  And since you talk about obtaining windows on the PC, I assume you mean the same version. And if the CSM is not there now, it was probably not before either - that should exclude from Windows 7.

  What does that mean? Well, if you have the available recovery media, place 1 disc in and boot the PC, press F12 repeatedly at the TOSHIBA logo and choose to boot from the STRANGE (DVD...).

  Now, the second question - update of the BIOS under Linux is not possible (within normal limits).
  Just forget about it. Windows is the only platform that allows the firmware flashing for end-users.
  And Furthermore, it is not necessary to get Windows installed.

  Hope this clears some fog and allows movement forward.

  on this model you do not need to press F12 or another key. Just unzip the packege BIOS on a blank floppy disk, reboot the machine and make sure it boots from the floppy disk. The upgrade of the BIOS will be done automatically.

  Site Web from Toshiba offers the 8.15.10.2189 version which I'm inclined to believe this is an older than my current version?

  I tried downloading the new version on the Intel site but it does not work either and I can't really figure out what the new version of the site. Can anyone offer advice on how to achieve this?

  The trouble is that I've lived this process for more than a year to fix a bug on civilization 5. I remember that it is a bit of a headache then. The most annoying is that I don't remember the process that I had to pass by to do. DOH!

  In General, you should only use the drivers from Toshiba. Why? The drivers offered on the Toshiba support page are tested and adapted to work with the s portable equipment. Of course, you can use the GPU manufacturers support page drivers, but you should know that most recent drivers will increase performance GPU. More performance means more heat and also some risk for material.

  Result can be suddenly stopped downs or even damage the hardware.

  TEMPRO would run and started at the beginning of the startup procedure.
  So, you can disable the Tempro to start automatically.
  You can disable this in msconfig-> Startup tab

  You can get Tempro process here and uncheck the brand.
  Restart the unit.
