Update to newer version of blackBerry Smartphones App World de Blackberry ID

To open My App world it says that it requires the latest version of the BlackBerry ID so I pressed unsuccessfully, but he says the 'software update was interrupted. Please try again. "So I turned off my phone and you press update again and again but nothing happens. My internet connection is great, my bbm and everything works fine.

Have you tried to take out the battery and put it back in?

I know it sounds like a simple thing, but I got the same error message up to doing so. I have now managed to complete the update of the ID.

    If you encounter the problem of BlackBerry App World update, then please try this:

    On your home screen the unit go to Options > device > application > locate and remove BlackBerry App world in this list.

    Once deleted perform a battery pull reboot by removing the battery whiel your device is turned on, wait a min. and then reinsert this return. Finally, after the reboot, use your BlackBerry browser and navigate to www.blackberry.com/appworld/download and download the latest version available for your device.

    If we compare the Blackberry App World website for local storm App World, the versions do not match.  Seems that I am obliged to "Reinstall" my 'old' applications previously deleted/archived compared to download and install the latest version.

    My example

    I used QuickPull Lite on my Storm 4.70... QuickPull Lite version was 2.2.1.  I've updated my Storm to 5.0.  Now I want to install QuickPull Lite 3.5, but my only option via Blackberry App World My Storm is the 2.2.1 version.  Why can't I install version 3.5!  I need to install 2.2.1 then upgrade to 3.5?  What happens if the 2.2.1 is incompatible (with OS 5)?  Any ideas?

    Storm OS 5.0 (Verizon version)

    The list of applications that you see on this catalogue is the list complete and unfiltered applications for all BB models. The list that you see in the interface for device is filtered for your specific device model and the OS. So what you see in the interface for device is a subset - and it is they who are at your disposal. If a developer does not release an app/version for your device, it does not display in your device to AppWorld interface, although it has shown in the web catalogue.

    I'd say go ahead and Unarchive/reinstall the earlier version. Then go to MyWorld and it will show you if there is an update... If so, update. Then, as the old version is now replaced by the new in MyWorld, you can still archive it like the old version will have been erased.

    It it gives you problems, there are other tricks to try...

    In some cases, it was discovered that updates (from got AppWorld apps) require additional steps in order to install the update. If the update will not install, please try this:

    1. Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications > highlight the app > BBKey > delete
    2. AppWorld > MyWorld > Login > highlight the app (if she shows at all, in any State) > BBKey > delete
    3. Use your PC (via the mass storage Mode) or your BB (via Media > BBKey > Explore) and find all references (folders, files) to the app delete everything you find. Search the memory of your device and your press card as well.

    Clear the application cache:

    1. open the App World

    2. go to my world

    3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

    4A. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

    I tried to update my 4.0.0.63 app world. I got the link to my email, I clicked it, went to the download site, selected the language I clicked the download button and a pop-up message appears and says «!» Download failed. ».

    Error details are

    907 invalid COD

    A network error has occurred.

    Finally, after this process, my previous version of app world has been uninstalled.

    Pls suggest a solution.

    Please ensure that the previous version i. e 4.0.0.63 you installed earlier your device is successfully uninstalled of your device then perform a battery pull reboot and then if you can manage try to download App World wi - fi network. See if that helps.

    I've recently updated blackberry app world on my 8350i curve to the latest version

    and after that all I get is an hourglass and after 10 minutes, I get java.lang eception exception on error memory

    I tried to remove it from the applications menu, battery pulls and all that and I reinstall I get the same thing. is it possible to completely do a fresh install or recover the old version or restore the old version from an another bberry... help this has been driving me crazy for a while now... thanx

    I think that your device operating system may be corrupted. You can try the following:

    3. Perform a new installation of your operating system: www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320

    Try to install app world now.

    To reinstall your applications, please follow this section of the AppWorld user guide:

    When you connect to AppWorld/MyWorld (via PayPal references), it should get your old PIN of BB AppWorld account to the new.

    Regarding your question about how long it takes to get a response - it varies considerably. There is no member of RIM assigned paid staff regularly participate in the forums and therefore there is no SLA. The good people who regularly participate on a voluntary basis and spend a lot of time as they can-, but which will naturally be quite variable account held that they must have 'real jobs', as well as personal life. In general, 24 hours is a reasonable period, but may vary as well because of uncontrollable variables in the game.

    Bold 9700.  used world app for some time.  I have uipdates available for several applications.  When I try to UPDATE, I get the message that this app is not available for download from app world for blackberry.  BUT ITS JUST HERE >...  Same thing to try to buy a new application.  I reloaded the software basic app world twice and restarted nothing doesn't.

    I have the Torch 9850 and this morning I had an icon in the tray on the top of the screen saying I had 1 new update app but when I go to App world I have no upgrade.  I did a battery pull and the icon still appears.  I deleted the app world and reinstalled and it's always show 1 upgraded app.  I checked every app I had the upgrades and none has a.  Then, when I deleted the App World and reinstalled it, now I don't have any of the applications listed in App world as installed.  How can I fix it?

    I recently switched from AT & T on the 8110 curve from T-Mobile on the Curve 8900.

    I had paid and downloaded a few apps through app World on my previous phone.

    When I try to log on to my new phone to My World, after entering my information to PayPal, I get this error:

    'Failed to authenticate the user at this time.  Please try again later. »

    This means that I can't get my old apps, but I can not also purchase new apps I want.

    Does anyone have a solution?  Will there be a remnant of my account with AT & T somewhere in the system that needs to be eliminated?

    I figured out it was expired on record with PayPal credit card.

    As soon as I updated with PayPal, any charge in My World.

  • BlackBerry smartphone App world is the non-touchscreen version intended for the other BB

    My app world is the version of no touch screen on my storm 2.  He changed this month, when I downloaded an upgrade to this topic.  I tweeted RIM on this subject and they told me to uninstall it and download it again.  This did not make a difference however.  And now that RIM haas updated twitter, which also spent in the version for non touchscreen phones and can't do the good version to which either.  It's strange because all the other stuff I download from app world are the version of the storm, even after he screwed up.

    No one knows how to fix?  As I said, I tried put it back and stuff loads of times but it didn't work!

    He had the key board all the time, as if it were a BB with a correct key rather the touchscreen.  This meant scroll and everything was different.  I thought about it though, in compatibility mode had been activated for some reason any, when I downloaded the update.  Same thing happened to twitter by RIM.  Once I disabled it, he returned to be the version intended for the storm 2.  I'm hopeless with technology, took me almost a year to fix it!

    BlackBerry has sent me a message that an update was available for one of my apps game 'shoppers paradise '.   When I click on the link to download the upgrade, it gives me an error message that the upgrade is not available via App World.

    Is anyone else having this problem?  BlackBerry is working on this issue?

    Could have happened to several things:

    (1) the proponent has misidentified something and the AppWorld catalog is messed up now

    (2) RIM has made a mistake and the AppWorld catalog is messed up now

    (3) there may be some technical problem that it blocks

    (4) I don't know there is more...

    As to your question:

    It is impossible for anyone here to know the answer to this. What I suggest is that you contact the developer of the app and report it. They have a different channel in RIM thanks to which they can increase getting AppWorld corrected to properly distribute their application.

    If you want to degenerate into RIM, you through your formal support channel - your carrier.
