  Every day when I turn my computer off it wants to install the update above.  Every day when I turn it on the yellow shield are on and tells me to install the KB055759 update.  I have run the fix it program and it breaks down, I tried to make a fix auto and he says back up the registry I did so I can't figure out the next step.  Microsoft Web site is like a dog chasing its tail, it never quite gets to the solution.  I was looking for the help of Visual Basic 500 times and never found files.  For the money you people are doing, you might make this a bit simpler or better yet do to make it work.   2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

  3. double-click on the file that you saved in # 1 a above, to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

  4B. right click on the file downloaded in # 4 above has (that is, ie8 - rereg.zip) and EXTRACT its contents to the desktop. This will create a new folder on your desktop.

  4 c. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the task bar), open the new folder created in # 8 b above & double-click on the script (i.e., ie8 - rereg.cmd) to run the command, then restart again.

  5. open / click start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove programs. Set Program Access and Defaults: select (check) the CUSTOM [<>] configuration option, and then click the arrows pointing to the far-right | Browser: select "Internet Explorer" here (to not "use my current... »).  [2]

  6. open / click start | Settings | Control Panel | Internet Options | Programs (tab) | Default web browser: If the make default button is NOT dimmed, click/press it.

• Failed to update Windows and Update Installation failures the package

  Hello world

  I have a new 1650 precision and I tried to install the KB971033 from Microsoft updates as well as IE 10 update and they constantly risk to fail.  When I manually installed KB971033 my PC blue screened and then restarted and uninstalled the update.  How can I get these updates to install, or are they still necessary?  I run CheckSUR and the log shows the output below.  How can I solve these corruption issues and it is for this reason that I can not install updates?  Even run the tool MIcrosoft FixIT will attempt to fix the problem, but when the PC restarts and the installation process begins it says it fails and returns to before the repair.  This whole issue is trying to install iTunes 11 on this new PC and get the error:

  «An error occurred during the installation of assembly'Microsoft.» VC80. CRT.type = "win32", version = "8.0.50727.6195", publickeytoken = "1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b" processorArchitecture = "x 86".  See Help and Support for more information. HResult:0 x 80073712.

  the system image recovery puts your computer at the factory, all files and folders will be lost. Back up files and folders before using this option.

  System Restore, use a system restore point, usually created by starting the computer in Windows 7 or a Windows Update. I would go back before Tuedays updated.

• "Error 1402.Could not open key" during the installation of Adobe and HP update. Updates failed and earlier of the software cannot be put back in place because permission to modify the key is denied.

  • Issue: Failed to update and previous software may not be returned to or re-installed. Problem programs include Adobe Reader and scan and editor for my HP C4180 all-in-1 photo printer.
  • (For example) error messages:
    Error 1402.Could not open key:
    UNKNOWN\Components\1FA18F797...
    Check that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support...
  • No recent changes, with the exception of updates failed and normal widows.
  • I thought bad updates from HP and Adobe has caused the problem, so I uninstalled and tried to re - install the software several times, hoping a release update would solve the problem.  Impossible software returned to or re-installed, so I bought try 'PDF Converter 6' to to access PDF files. This program could not be installed for the same reason.

  The Windows 7 FAQ has reported that Windows 7 could be reinstalled everything keeping the settings. The same can be done with Vista? If not, is there a safe way to delete these keys, so the software can be installed/re-installed without having to make a facility 'clean '?

  This problem may occur if the permissions to a specific key in the Windows registry has been denied because the registry is corrupted or due to registry permissions

  I suggest you try the following steps:

  Step 1: Check with a different user profile

  If you do not have a different user account, you will need to create a (see link below).  If everything works fine with a different user profile, you can infer that the user profile is damaged, click on the link to find out how to solve this problem.
