  Sounds more like you did a clean install on a new folder without formatting. If this is the case, you can retrieve data from the windows.old folder, but programs like MSWorks will need to be reinstalled from their original installation media. An update includes necessary registry entries and transfer program files, a fresh install in a new folder does not work.   3. disconnect all external devices before installing.

  4. check your hard disk for errors:

Raising an SR will not help unless there is a very strong business case to ensure backward compatibility for the incorrect behavior in an event. Workaround are change code analysis to deal with the new format, or change the code that generates the XML code to include additional call to XMLElement

  1. the older system with Win7 should not go Win10 that HP provides no support any drivers for it unless it was made in 2013.
