upgrade processor to support PAX, NX, SSE2

trying to upgrade windows 8 for windows 8.1. need to upgrade the processor to PAX, NX, SSE2 support

Your HP Media Center m7160n desktop supports the following processors;

Socket: 775
Pentium D (Smithfield) up to 3.2 GHz
Pentium 4 (Prescott) up to 580 and 670

It does not appear that any of these processors supports SSE2 PAX, NX. There is no processor to replace it with. You will need to buy a new processor, memory, new motherboard, etc. It may be easier and better just buying a new computer.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Hello

You can use ONLY the processors AMD Mobile supports AMD M780G chipset.
But even if you find a compatible CPU AMD M780G Chipset, there is a question again about the BIOS support.

The point is that the CPU upgrade is not supported by one of the manufacturers of laptop you can do something like this only at your own risk

Upgrading RAM is supported and you can pass the RAM up to 4 GB of RAM using the example modules DDR2 800 MHz

    Hello

Usually the upgrade CPU or replacement on laptops is not possible or very difficult and risky. It could be possible that the laptop does not start or will not work stable after upgrading the CPU. The overheating could be one of the biggest problems!

So, really, I do not recommend upgrading the processor! It s not worth risking damage only to get a small increase in CPU performance.

But if you want to know which processor is supported by the chipset then the following ;)

The M400 computer is equipped with a processor Intel Core Duo or Intel Core Solo processor. These processors include a mathematical coprocessor, a 2 MB L2 cache.

The M400 comes with one of the following speeds:

    _Intel core Duo Processor_
    -1.66 GHz (processor number: T2300)
    -1.83 GHz (processor number: T2400)
    -2.00 GHz (processor number: T2500)

I checked the specifications of your computer system, and I see that you can upgrade the processor up to an Athlon 64 X 2 5000. Please contact any of the local stores for the same thing.

  • Upgrading processor on the Satellite C665-s5515

I bought this for my daughter to use at school and hope it was more than enough to do school work and of course it is. But she also made a video for school and casual games. no games processor intensive like Call of Duty but still some that need speed and RAM.

So I upgraded the Ram with a 2 and a 4 GB to 6 GB total, but I do not read that it is better matched memory chips so should I go to two 4 GB or 2 GB or leave it as what?

The BIGGEST drawback of this machine is the slow processor - 1.3 GHz AMD E series. Is it possible to upgrade only or Exchange for a faster processor? The S5503 comes with a 2.3 GHz Sandy Bridge Core i3 - 2350M.

I can only put in my machine?

In General, the CPU upgrade is not supported. I recommend you increase the RAM to the maximum level and optimize the operating system preinstalled.
Please note that the C series of notebooks is certainly don t have the best performance, but they are good at the price.

For best performance, you need for laptop with the best material. Something series P.

    LOL :D

Maybe you should check this FAQ from Toshiba:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=13

You will find the information that the processor is removable, but this does not mean that you could improve it.
As you mentioned that it might be a BIOS compatibility issue and this would lead to a malfunction of the laptop so simply said CPU and GPU upgrades are not supported and if you want to upgrade the processor then you can do this ONLY at YOUR OWN RISK.

    Well done dude

    (a) for CPU: you need to replace the motherboard too and it is a very expensive upgrade. Please read the manual on the link third next (page 84):

  • DV6-6c40us upgrade processor?

I have a HP DV6-6c40us and would like to upgrade my current processor at a best. I'm curious if this is even possible. I consulted the manual and it seems that the processor can be improved.

    Course record:

    Win 7 ultimate

    6 GB OF RAM

    AMD A8 3520 M

The price of SSDS is down and continues to fall, but if you need a size of 500 gig it will cost at least 50 cents per concert.  Perhaps consider a hybrid drive. You can get a concert 500 for $75, or about a third of what an SSD would cost:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16822178339

No A10 processor is supported. A8-3550MX is the fastest listed in the guide, which probably need you:

    Manual

Sometimes the processors are not not in the manual work, but it's a little a long shot. Updates are not officially supported, and if you ask to HP directly should not do.

  • Upgrading processors N100 0689-29U

I've seen several posts on upgrades of the processor for the N100 and I wondered if they work for all types of N100 laptops.

Mine is a type of N100 0689-29U that currently has an Intel Centrino Duo T2300 (1.66 GHz). I would like to move to something of 2 GHz or more if possible. I am running 2 GB of RAM, which was the max Lenovo said that will support the machine.

The reason for my upgrade is an attempt to accelerate a fire modeling program that I am running. Is it a upgrade processor speed up my computing power or would I waste my money?

    Thank you.

You have the format socket M, which are compatible with the following types of CPU.

    Intel Core Solo
    Intel Core Duo
    Intel Core 2 Duo (T5x00, T7x00)
    Intel Celeron M

However, there is a limited support for the version chip Socket M Core 2 Duo T7x00, a bios flash may be needed to do their jobs, but most of these Core 2 Duo chips are quite expensive.

CPU represents that part of the bottleneck of performance in a laptop, there is also the factor of GPU, ram, optimization of the software and hard disk file fragmentation.

If you're going to get a CPU, you should consider the T7x00 series, however, they run a tad warmer that CPU you have now.

But rather than make an upgrade with your laptop, I probably just save money and get a half decent job for modeling programs.

  • Upgrading processor on Satellite A200-18W

Is it possible to replace the Intel® Core Duo T2350 (1.86 GHz) with Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 / 2.1 GHz / 3 MB Cache?

    Best regards
    Xavier

    Hello Xavier

As you probably know the CPU upgrade is not supported. I understand that you want to have a more powerful machine, but have you tried to lower the hardware upgrade for better performance? I mean RAM.

Satellite A200 is known to me and I always use old P200. With the maximum RAM and Win7 32 bit my P200 works perfectly. For daily activities and oldest machine games is perfect if I think that upgrading the CPU is certainly not necessary.

Is there a particular reason why you need a faster CPU?
