    Hello

I was offered an upgrade of windows 10 on my laptop that is running windows 7, but my wifi button was not working when I installed 10 windows so I started 7 what can I do? It is an Acer Aspire 5920 G (old enough)

    Thank you.

There could be a problem with the wifi driver that comes with Windows 10. I think that you first need to find the right driver for Windows 10 on the Acer site. Otherwise, you may need to install a usb wireless card.

If you have a retail version of Windows 7, then use the "Anytime Upgrade":
When you use the "Anytime Upgrade" option, all you need to do is enter the upgrade of Windows 7 product key. Do this by clicking on: start/search and enter: upgrade Express

Most likely the best option and the most popular will be the Home Premium upgrade to Windows 7 Professional, which includes Windows XP Mode. • HP Pavilion x 2 10-n011nl (Suns: laptop locked after upgrade windows 10)

Two days ago, I bought a HP Pavilion x 2 (red sunset) 10-n011nl and immediately I started upgrading Windows 10. This medication is ok (no error message), but the first new starting system, the machine is in a loop! Only a black screen with white logo of HP and animation circular points. It is impossible to stop this, none CTRL-ALT-DEL or other. I have to wait for low battery condition (more then 6 hours!).

And even once, he repeats the loop.

    What can I do?

    Thanks in advance

Because it is new, maybe start to type Esc as soon as you press the button start.  That should bring up a menu before starts the boot process.  In this menu, click F11 to run the recovery.  Who will restore the PC to 'new factory' and retry the upgrade of Windows 10.  You might want to try the media creation tool page, if it fails again.

  • The preinstalled upgrade Home premium 64 - bit windows 7 on my laptop for a 64 - bit windows 7 ultimate on my laptop version.

I brought a home premium pre-installed 64 - bit windows 7 on my laptop and I want to know if I can download and update/install a 64 bit version of windows 7 ultimate on my laptop with no problems. As I have I need to just 60 days then uninstall the ultimate version and revert to the version Home premium. Please note that the Home Edition premium was preinstalled on my computer when I brought.

I would not replace the preinstallation of Windows 7 Home Premium, but what you could do is to download and to make a dual boot using the Windows 7 Enterprise 90-day trial which is equivalent to the Ultimate edition.

Windows 7 Enterprise 90-day trial - select Pro when asked for your history:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/cc442495.aspx

Please see the following article with useful information about dual-boot:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/can-I-have-more-than-one-operating-system-on-my-computer-multiboot

Yet once, do not replace your Home Premium installation, dual boot. This will allow you to remove it once the 60 days are up.

Also back up your computer before you attempt this:

Part 1 was successful, but when I was doining part 2 (insert the Microsoft Windows 7 upgrade DVD) I get an error message upgrading to 64-bit could not be done.

  • Does anyone has installed Windows 7 on a laptop Pavilion DV2175

If anyone has installed Windows 7 on a laptop Pavilion DV2175 and if so it is 32 or 64 bit

    Hello:

There is an unofficial update guide to windows 7 for the series dv2000.

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-operating-systems-and-software/Windows-7-upgrade-guide-for-DV2000-models/m-p/186936#M28141

Given that the maximum amount of memory, that you can install on your laptop is only 2 GB, I'd go with W7 32 bit, as a 64 bit OS requires more memory and disk space to run a 32 bit OS only.

    Not double, but more.

  • HP 250 G5: upgrade Windows 7 Pro for Windows 10 Pro with HP 250 G5

I bought the cell phone following the Friday (19/08):
    http://store.HP.com/UKStore/merch/product.aspx?ID=ECC_BUNDLE_6082661&opt=&SEL=NTB

I see from the description that it is said:
"Windows 7 Professional 64 (license and includes support for Windows 10 64 Pro).

    And further explained:

"This system is preinstalled with Windows 7 Professional software and also comes with a license and support for Windows 10 Pro software. • PC HP Pavilion P6 - 2317c: upgrade Windows 10

I bought this model HP Desktop HP Pavilion P6 - 2317c sometimes, back and it came pre-loaded with Windows 8.0.  I upgraded successfully to Win 8.1.  Since the free update to win 10 was announced, I waited for some instructions for the upgrade I had for my laptop.  Do not get everything up to now, I sent a question to Microsoft as to why.  They said that this version of Windows is not eligible for the upgrade.  Can you tell me why? and what was wrong with the 8.0 Win that came preloaded and was one of the reasons I chose this model to replace my Win XP based PC.  Please order this upgrade to detangle with Microsoft.

    [Personal information]

    Hello Parvezb ;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post on Windows 10 Upgrade and wanted to help.

I never cease to be amazed by the amount of misinformation that MS representatives give people on Win10!

Rumors started about Win8 NOT be eligibile for the Win10 upgrade because people could not do it from Windows Update. But later, MS released information on the upgrade paths, and he showed be extensible Win8 to Win10 using Win10 media.  So what rep MS told you that he was not eligible for Win8 doesn't even know their own products!

You CAN actually go to Win10 when you want - using the tool of MS Media: 10 Windows Installer using the media - Windows help authoring tool

With this tool, you have the option of (1) creation of installation of Win10 (USB or DVD) media, (2) download an ISO file, (3) update the PC directly.  If all you want to do is updated on this PC, then choose the option: upgrade this PC now.

    Good luck

  • upgrade windows 7 to windows 8

    Hi all

I bought a lenovo X 1 carbon 3460 understanding that I would be able to choose windows 7 or windows 8. I am a user of windows 8 long and prefer to use the more recent operating system. Unfortunately, when I got my laptop home and it start it started immediately in windows 7. This isn't what I wanted, nor why I paid more than 1,000 euros for it.

How can I easily switch to windows 8? Yes, I have the recovery disks, but obviously this laptop doesn't have a DVD player. Is there a documentation on the upgrade to windows 8 for this laptop?

The product key of Windows 8 is embedded in the BIOS of the machine, so if you install clean Windows 8 on your recovery media, you will not be asked to do.

Create a bootable USB to install clean Windows Vista/7/8 is simple you just a USB drive in NTFS format, copy all the contents of the DVD to it and select start.
