Hello kalabalik,.

Take a look at your maintenance and Service Guide Manual.  There compatible parts, parts numbers, etc. in the breast.

You can buy the latter in HP Partsurfer.

If I was helpful, or if you want to say thanks you can click the White Star under my name to give me congratulations.  I really appreciate it!

Good luck!

  • Upgrade HP Dv6 6150us windows 8

It would be prudent to upgrade my dv6 6150us (I'm pretty sure that this is the model) to windows 8. My hard drive has been neglected and I thought it would be as good a time as any to upgrade. It is not the drivers of windows 8 for her, but I was wondering if there is anyway to get windows 7 drivers working with her. Thanks for any help I get.

    Hello:

You can use all the drivers and the software of the dv6t - 6 c that has the same hardware as yours.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4132&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&sw_lang=&product=5214352

Your model uses the AMD graphics driver only.

Note that if you upgrade to W8.1, I'm sure the graphics do not work anymore, I know not all pilot W8.1 for the graphical installation.

  • HP DV6-7080eb: the upgrade HP DV6 - 7080eb 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz

I am presently got an Intel Centrino WIreless - N 2330 in my HP DV6-7080eb chip. I would like to upgrade to 5 GHz and I wonder what that forge chip is compatible with my system.

There is no card dual band compatible, I'm sorry to say. Your laptop has BIOS dreaded "whitelist" that blocks the installation of all but a handful of wifi cards. It's the list and you MUST use a card with a HP part number, not just the good chipset:

    Atheros WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 adapter and 1 × 1 9485GN 3012 655795-001

    Atheros 802.11b/g/n adapter Bluetooth 675794-001 1 × 1 WB225

    Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 20702 4.0 Combo Adapter 657325-001 1 × 1

    Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 WLAN 670691-001

Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n 1 × 1 WiFi and 2070 Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR Combo Adapter (BT3.0 + HS loan) to be used on the models of computer with a processor AMD to Brazil 600370-201

Module Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 WLAN to be used on the computer with a processor Intel to the 670290-001 Japan models

Do not know how you have the chip Intel Wireless - N 2330 works in yours, but who is probably the best you can do.

The Advanced-N 6230 is wrong. The reference number given is incorrect and it's really a single band Ralink card. Don't think that you are the first person to ask, or that we have not fully explored here in the Forum. I'm sorry.

  • Upgrade WLAN to 56 or 108 with Satellite M30 404

My M30-404 has a built-in with 11 mbit Wlan card and without WPA, WEP just is possible. This is the reason why I want upgrad. Is is possible to use a card like this: 'Sparklan WMIA - 123AG Mini PCI card with chip Atheros' or this card won't have problem?

A card with 56 mbit is also possible, but who is the best?

    Frank

    Hello

Well, it is a complete description of this map:

    SparkLAN WMIA-123AG - 802.11a/b/g WLAN Mini PCI Atheros (AR5004X)

I m not 100% sure, but I think you can use this card because it supports 802.11a/b/g standard. But to be on the safe side, you can ask the partner to Toshiba service for detailed information.

If you try to put a mSATA drive in one of the ports, it will not be recognized and can prevent the laptop to boot.

  • HP Pavilion DV6 1225ee: Upgrade Pavilion dv6 hard

    Hello

In fact, I want to spend my hard drive laptop, but before that I would like to know if my laptop support SATA III or not?
I want to install this model: Western Digital Black 2 Mobile 2.5 inch dual drives - 1 TB HDD + 120 GB SSD
It's the hybrid hard drive and work with SATA III (6 Gb/s).

My laptop model: HP Pavilion DV6 1225ee

Can you please help me in this case?

    Thank you

Your laptop uses an Intel ICH9 Southbridge chip, which is capable of operation SATAII (300MB\s).

You can still use SATA600 HDDs, but they will be compatible down and don't use the SATA specification of your laptop sata controllers motherboard are capable.

Hybrid disk hard mobile compatibility with your laptop is unknown. Most people upgrade laptops equipped with SSD and existing hard drives.  You can avoid the uncertainty factor by installing a legacy hard drive or an SSD.

I checked online, the AMD Radeon HD 6770 M GPUS have a MXM-3. 0 to slot. Appreciate if you can give advice if this laptop GPU use MXM - 3. 0 has slot or it is soldered to the motherboard. As the CPU for this laptop is able to do what I need, I just intend to upgrade the GPU so that I do graphics work that must be one more spec to the GPU, rather than buying a new workstation (which will be more expensive than upgrading the GPU).

    Hello

Maintenance and Service Guide lists every mother/System Board for each model of videocard (on page 85). This means that the video card is welded to the motherborad. Therefore, you must buy the whole and it may cost much more than your thinking.

    Hello:

Unfortunately, on most computers laptops (including your own), the video card can be upgraded or replaced because it is a built-in chip that is soldered to the motherboard.

Even a discreet video chip is part of the motherboard.

  • Pavilion DV6-6185la: upgrade Pavilion DV6-6185la

    Hello world

I wonder if a cant improve my CPU of the machine, I have this laptop for like a year and a half and upgrading some features.

Add a second disk (SSD 256)

    And upgraded ram, 16 GB

I love this phone I and know that I am a bit screwed on the GPU, but I read on some external GPU adapters that can work and I want to know if one can upgrade the processor to see if the penalty try.

Currently it is a processor i7-2630QM 2.00 GHz

And I think to an i5 with more than Ghz or even an another i7 with more than Ghz.

    Thanks in advance!

You have the second best possible CPU. The only other compatible on which is faster is the i7-2720QM to 2.2 ghz.

    Here is the Manual:

    Manual

There is no way to add a second hard drive in the dv6. There is a space of SSD hard drive so if you want to install a SSD this means remove the existing mechanical drive.  How did you do? The best that you could put in an adapter of optical drive (DVD drive) and then you lose the DVD player and this interface is not really made for hard disks.

  • the upgrade chart dv6

I recently got a HP Pavilion dv6-3257 cl laptop for Christmas.   I had hit or miss a chance to get the games to run and am having difficulty finding information on upgrading my graphics card.  Is it possible to update the graphics card, or possibly to improve the performance of the Intel HD Graphics?

I really need help here, can't find an answer anywhere difinitive.

The game I'm running GTA IV: Episodes from Liberty City.

    Hello

This is the latest driver (Windows 7) on the HP site for your Intel chip.

    32-bit driver

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp50501-51000/sp50643.exe

    64-bit driver

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp50501-51000/sp50658.exe

Download the installer and save it on your desktop.  Once the download is complete, right-click on the Setup program and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When finished, restart the PC and see if the graphics performance has improved.

  • Upgrade processor dv6-1245dx

    I have a DV6-1245dx, and he now has the Intel Core 2 T6500 (2.10 ghz, 2 m L2 Cache and FSB800) inside.

    I'm looking to upgrade to 6 m L2 cache. Here's my question:

If you upgraded to a processor FSB of 1066, it's going to work or not and if so, he will remain at the FSB 800 or 1066 FSB

It is a Quanta 3627 motherboard. using the chipset GM45/47

BTW I am running Windows XP 64-bit (I could not stand the slow speed and problems with Vista 64-bit) and I hope that Windows 7 64 bit works better - lol

because I have my doubts, so if you're stuck with XP 64 bit dirver problems, I can help.

The answer is Yes - but everything comes out to get to the CPU, this includes readers, cards, KB, MB, LCD display...

I'm surprised that no one replied to this question.

Recapitulation, the jury of 3627 Quanta within a DV6-1245dx with GM45/GM47 chipset will support 800 and 1066 FSB CPUS, including the

T9900 to 3.06 ghz, 6 m cache L2. And by changing it, you probably cancelled any warranty, but when managed - the laptop is screaming fast!

I advise anyone do an upgrade of the processor I have done by someone who has experience, if you ever ripped a computer

    and putting it together (work)

  • CPU upgrade in dv6-6159... i5 to i7?

Hey guys, I really need an asnwer to this question, can the i5 2.4 ghz, can put b upgraded to a quad core i7?

I need for the game, he has a graphics 6770 m, thnk so I should have a quad core i7 instead

    How much can it cost?

    is HP one such update?

    Thanks in advance

Not really. Game is done in the GPU, not so much in the processor. The CPU you have is well fast enough to support the GPU (graphics chip). Even on the games technically supporting more than 2 cores, it is not clear that adding additional processing threads really has nothing.

Clearly not worth $ 600, but if you have an i7, sell your laptop and buy one with an i7 processor. You can almost always come out better than an upgrade of the processor, especially when you take into account the risk and hassle. No, HP will do for you.

TV tuner module. This laptop is previous mSATA cards storage, so if you put one in the slot (it should) the system will not recognize that anything is present. mSATA WSSD support arrived with Intel Core 2d or 3rd gen processors and yours is the much older era of Core 2 Duo.

  • Upgrade HP DV6 6150 EW

    Hello

I want to improve my 6150EE dv6 with ssd.

The main concept is to replace the drive blueray with ssd in the framework.

I want to go original win 7 my disc ssd.

    How can I do?

Can I use restore image BLAH original hdd? Or shoud I use usb hdd to create the recovery image and install it the system?

I assume that cloning is not the best idea since my original HDD is 320 GB and ssd will be 120 or 160 and as much as I know partition resizing is not always the best solution.

If someone could post step by step what should I do with os after installing the ssd in the point of hw computer.

Again, I think you found the image.
