If the USB 3.0 port sees the other USB devices correctly, we know that the USB port works correctly.

This does not guarantee that load power supply is working properly.

Make sure that the cable is a charging cable.  If this does not work, you may need to contact the Department for further assistance.

  • VN7 - 791G: Wifi slow and unreliable when a USB drive is plugged into the USB ports on the right.

WiFi becomes quick and reliable whne the memory stick is disconnected. Always reproducible. Does not occur when the memory stick is plugged into the USB port on the left. Also has anyone seen this behavior?

Wireless network adapter Qualcom Atheros QCA61x4 with the version of the driver 12.0.0.230 dated 03-2016-21.

    Thank you

    Chris

    Hello

The explanation is simple. I'm sure that the memory stick is a USB 3.0, a plugged in a USB 3.0 port. The problem is that all USB 3.0 devices generate a 2.4 Ghz interference, as it generates interference on the frequency working on wireless. The solution is to connect the player to another port or to spend the 5 GHz wifi if your router supports. The wifi antenna is probably very close to the port and to the USB key.

This is known for a long time, and has nothing to do with the laptop.

There is an article on the Web page of intel who described the problem more technically. You can search if you wish.

This causes a problem also with a wireless mouse, if the receiver is connected next to a USB 3.0 stick or any other device.

  • Tecra R840-10 t has no work webcam or USB 3.0 port

Even if this [another thread | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=62061&start=15&tstart=0] has been marked as resolved, the problems remain, but are not related to the bone, hw-partners.

1 week after that I got a Tecra R840-10 t (PT429E-00M007EP) of Windows 7 have frozen at startup and the fan run at maximum speed. All I could do was to enter safe mode. After a factory reset (reinstalling OS of the hidden HD partition), not even the safe mode worked!
Took back to the store, 2 days later a local Toshiba representative referred to the store as fixed (they have updated the BIOS...)

2-3 weeks later, same problem. I called Toshiba directly, they have picked up the laptop, took almost 2 weeks and sending parts of the Germany twice before they sent it. I had to call them to find out they were going to deliver the next day. So far it seems to be fixed, Windows has not frozen since.

However, now, little more than a month after I bought this laptop from professional quality, I noticed that, on his return, the USB 3.0 port (as long as this port) and the webcam does not work. They do not appear in the Device Manager, update their drivers through page for the download of Tecra yields nothing (and you have to go through hoops to actually install the webcam driver), nothing. It's as if they did not exist. I guess that any material they brought in wasn't exactly in perfect condition, or someone forgot to plug it into some pine trees.

I tried several Linux LiveCD as well, they all recognize the material to varying degrees (being the most comprehensive Debian), but no recognize the USB 3.0 port or the webcam as well.

Not an OS problem. Call them once again, waiting for a response from a representative Monday morning. Seriously considering to move directly to a repair center and asking the complaints book. There is no guarantee that this laptop won't break again.

    Not a happy camper.

    Hello

    > I tried several Linux LiveCD as well, they all recognize the material to varying degrees (being the most comprehensive Debian), but no recognize the USB 3.0 port or the webcam as well.

Have you tested this with Toshiba configured OS?
It would be interesting if Windows 7 would get the same problems, recognizing the USB 3.0 and the webcam

  • Satellite P850 - 12Z USB 3.0 Ports right side do not work USB 3.0 speed

    Hi all

I bought a portable Satellite P850-12Z with * 4 * USB 3.0 ports. Two ports on the left side and two ports on the right side with sleep functions and fresh.

If I connect an external drive Verbatim USB 3.0 ports on the left side, everything works fine. Transfer rate is about 70-90 MB/s, but if I connect the * same drive * USB ports on the right side I see the pop up message "this device can perform faster if you connect it to a Super Speed USB 3.0 port" and the transfer rate is about 20-30 MB/s. These ports operate as USB 2.0 ports.

I repeat that all the available ports on the laptop are USB 3.0.

Anyone know what is happening with ports USB 3.0 on the right side?

I don't have another USB 3.0 drive to do more tests.

    Thank you

    Carlos

    > I repeat that all the available ports on the laptop are USB 3.0.
    You are absolutely right.
I ve checked specification s notebook, and all ports are USB 3.0 ports.

It is not easy to say what the problem is here.
What you can do is to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for explanations.
They know what the problem is here.

Maybe a few update driver or BIOS update offered in the future will solve this problem. In my opinion, you should continue to use the ports on the left side for data transfer.

  • Nighthawk R8500, USB 3.0 Flash drive not recognized USB 3.0 Port, Port of only 2.0

My Nighthawk R8500 router with the latest firmware, V1.0.2.54_1.0.56, does not recognize my SanDisk Ultra Fit 128 GB USB 3.0 Flash drive when it is connected to the router USB 3.0 Port. The Ultra Fit is formatted in FAT32 and works fine when plugged into USB Port 2.0 router or my laptop.

At first, I thought maybe USB 3.0 Port on my router wasn't working at all, but it recognizes my SanDisk 16 GB Cruzer USB 2.0 Flash Drive that is also formatted FAT 32. Unfortunately both my laptop have USB 2.0 Ports, so I don't know if the problem is with the router or the Ultra Fit Flash Drive. Everyone knows about this problem of their Flash 3.0 player is not recognized in USB 3.0 Port their router, especially with a SanDisk Ultra Fit? This problem can be resolved through firmware? I'd really like to take full advantage of the speed of USB 3.0 as I like to share files through my router via ReadyShare and ReadyCloud.

Thanks in advance for any help, Carlos

  • HP Envy 14-1010nr: HP Envy 14-1010nr Notebook PC: replace and upgrade to USB 3.0 ports

    Hello

I have a HP Envy 14 - 1010nr Notebook PC, which had two USB 2.0 ports on the left side and a USB 3.0 port on the right.

USB 3.0 port was damaged such as connectors plugged it seem a little loose and can move laterally a little so that the connection to the device comes in and out - makes it uncertain to copy some stuff on a hard drive through it, for example.

Is it possible for me to replace this port? Where could find a spare part for that if it can replace?

Even though I am inside the computer, I might as well replace the USB 2.0 with USB 3.0 ports ports if the pats replacement for that exist...

You're right, because there is no audio + USB 3.0, only the original + USB 2.0

  • HP DV7 ENVY: USB 2.0 Port does not

    Hello

I have a DV7 HP ENVY with 3 - USB 3.0 ports and 1 - USB 2.0 port. The USB 3.0 ports are working well but USB 2.0 does not work. When you plug a USB stick to the USB 2.0 port power led on the memory stick lights up but the led data is not. The computer does not at all to the inserted USB memory. The USB works fine in other 3.0 ports. I tried also to connect other USB devices, and it's the same thing. They work well on USB 3.0 ports, but nothing happens when you connect to a USB 2.0 port.

I was looking at the USB drivers in Device Manager and haven't noticed anything that seems strange.

I have run the system test diagnostic USB to start the system and got the following codes:

    Failure ID: 9BXQGK-6JK858-QFPK0K-8D0G03

    Product ID: C1W26EA #UUW

No idea if this is a hardware or software failure?

  • HP Elitebook 8460p: USB 3.0 ports do not work

Number and name of the product: HP Elitebook 8460 p - WX558AV
Operating system: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

When I opened my laptop today, my wireless mouse will not work. Then I find that all my USB 3.0 ports on the left do not work or the other. If I plug in my external hard drive, I can see clearly (which means power is there), but the drive will not be displayed in Windows Explorer.

I also had another weird error that my computer will not shutdown. It will be auto-restarting/reset in a few seconds. Very strange.

Is this a software or hardware failure? This laptop was bought anything recently and I expect the quality of the business.

    Thank you

    Hieu

I solved this. It wasn't because of the driver. I reinstalled the driver from this link that you provided before the validation of this one, but it did not work. I googled high and low and found various fixes, but they do not work.

I have even come back to an image previous when I just installed Windows 7 (and at that time where the USB ports still work). However, after restoration, the ports still refuse to recognize any USB.

So I think that there are only 2 possibilities: hardware failure (1), or a BIOS (2) problem.

Then I updated to the latest version of the HP BIOS (using HP Support Assistant) and then voila. Problem solved.

I guess the updates of Windows 7 somehow comes into conflict with Bios HP, where the question.

I hope my explanation is clear enough for someone with the same problem can fix their computers.
