  • 802.11 wireless pen drive recognized as 'unknown device' under USB. Help, please.

Specs: Windows XP Home Edition version 2002, Service Pack 2. This is the version of XP OEM. Processor Intel pentium 4 2.00 GHz. 1.50 GB of ram.

After an unknown incident (i suspect headphones usb), my wireless USB key has ceased to be recognized as such and become everything simply an "unknown device" under "USB bus controllers. Although windows tells me there is no drivers for the device installed, the wireless pen drive is signed with the Publisher of Microsoft Windows with a version of driver 5.1.2600.0, Microsoft being the driver provider.

Compound number, the 802.11 device is listed under "Other devices" when 'show hidden devices' is selected and the variable "devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices" entered "environment variables", but is washed out-showing that the system thinks that the device is not currently connected to the computer. In addition, under details, it displays error code 45: the device is not connected to the computer. And it is. It's very hip. as cement and connected tape.

I plugged the wireless key USB in all the usb ports on the computer, every time with her recognized as 'unknown device' under usb controllers. I entered in the safe mode, uninstalled all the usb controllers and root usb hub drivers and let windows the respawn after reboot in order to solve the problem. No dice.

I also plugged the USB in a different desktop and it works like a charm, so the issue is not with the hardware.

Clearly there that a conflict with drivers/registry/God knows what, but I'm at a loss. Somehow, windows has taken its decision and the player associated with "unknown device" and I see no way to make the system "forget" that the USB was never connected. How can I remove the ghost driver "unknown device" manually or force windows to re-associate the key wireless USB with "other devices" (with the yellow? mark) and not this useless usb driver "unknown device"?

    Thanks for the help!

  • USB driver Help! Help, please!?

I can't get my computer to recognize the usb device, I installed all updates for the drive yet still is not recognized in my computer, the device appears in Device Manager but trying to move files, and there is nothing to move. I have a page but do not paste in the box, then someone please help me, this isn't the 1st time that does not recognize the drive: the last time was an Mp3 player. Still recognizes camera memory card, please someone help me?

    Thanks Lindsay

    Lindsay1985,

Without knowing the brand and model of your computer and the operating system (other than Vista) what I see, you recently reinstall the operating system?

If this is a Dell computer, try to install the laptop / desktop utility first.

So for other computers (including Dell) install the chipset drivers. The chipset drivers usually contain the drivers for the USB Ports.

  • Envy brick and bought Sleekbook 4 PC recovery USB Kit helps do not...

    Everything first in detail:

    HP Envy Sleekbook 4

    C2K79UA prod # #ABA

    Version of the BIOS F.23

OK, my problem. I never liked the Windows 8, which took over. Since people like @ HP offered no option to downgrade to this travisty of a BONE, I installed VMware Workstation on this laptop and done my job on a VM 7 Win. Everything was great.

Then, I heard some improvements promised in a future release 8.1. I did my USB drive to restore system, like a good boy. I installed the version beta for 8.1 with the understanding that once the beta has expired I would just empty my personal files on my external drive and do a factory restore to my recovery USB drive I did. No problem, right?

Recovery failed. Something something causing a panic in the system.

Now, I should have stopped there... but... I did not. It would have been an easy way, and we cannot have. I noticed some drivers Windows 7 had been added to the page for my product. I gave that install a blow, but not, and probably my deepest hole dug and I most probably bluffing some partitions that I certainly would. Win 7 could not see the SATA, just the SSD drive, and I could not find suitible Win 7 sata drivers for installation.

So, I went online and ordered the USB for my product recovery Kit.

When I boot from it, I get the following:

"Recovery not taken in charge to the title of the current configuration, please turn on the option for the Intel Smart Response Technology and try again.

I see two options for Intel in my BIOS Enable/Disable...niether contributes

I also tried with both enabled and disabled virtualization option

I did the same thing with the help of the legacy.

Ive tried with the default BIOS loading.

Ive tried with boot secured on and outside.

Ive has run out of memory and disk checks... all came back good... except the only player that he checked was the SSD, of course.

Ive even tried to remove the SSD drive... and try to restore. don't ask why, I read in another forum, someone said this worked.

Is the recovery USB disk I bought from HP not smart enough to load the SATA drivers and rebuild partitions?

Is there another keyboard combo called the Intel SRT menu or settings in table?

I'm not a novice computer, despite some of the errors above to the contrary. I guess I'm very noob in the new world SSD/HDD and layer the puzzle EFI. If you can help, I will be sin no more.

Please... Please help and thanks in advance.

Just thought I'd throw in something that I saw on another post. The owner he said "Delete all the keys to starting security" in the BIOS.

  • USB storage - HELP needed

    Hi all

a long time since my last post!

I have a server that is running esxi4 with update 1. I'm trying to get my vm guest to see a hard drive usb, that I connected to the server. Is this possible? If then...? as he does not appear in the viewer of vm or be detected by the guest operating system (win2k3 sbs).

    Help appreciated.

    Cheers, Dave.

It is not possible, check this (http://vm-help.com/esx40i/VMDirectPath/USB_Setup.php) for a possible workaround:

"While the release of ESX/ESXi 4.0 provided the ability to add a USB controller to a virtual computer, it is not possible to add a USB device connected locally to a virtual computer. The typical solution is to use a USB to the device of the IP to connect the USB device to a virtual machine. With ESXi 4.0 it is also now possible to use VMDirectPath through the USB controller (and thus all connected USB devices) in a virtual machine. »

I use the Belkin + (http://www.belkin.com/networkusbhub/) network USB hub, it works perfectly and it's cheap, but it has only drivers for windows, not linux or mac

  • Question about USB mouse help

Can you get it someone please let me know if all precautions must be taken when using a mouse; usually is it necessary to exercise caution while connecting and removing the mouse from the USB port.
From now on, the mouse is detected automatically and there is no icon for 'remove hardware safely '.

    Thank you very much

    Best regards

    Hi Karthik,

the icon "Remove hardware" usually appears with resources such as hard drives, ADSL modems etc. who have the ability to buffer data, and it is necessary for this dump buffer to the device before it is disconnected.

Your mouse is classified as a device of human Intervention, and as such it does not buffer all data therefore should not be removed "without problem". You will be completely sure just to unplug it when you need to.

    Kind regards

  • NEITHER USB 6008 help to order 3 relays.

Hello! I have a DAQ 6008, and I need to control the three relays for the filming of lights, so I scored a VI to activate the relay through three buttons. My problem is that I don't really know what kind of relay that I need. I need something like 5VDC to 230VAC. What do you recommend?

You will need a driver-relay or transistor to provide current to fly this relay.

On a datasheet for the relay, tried google?  The part number printed on the side of the relay.

The ULN2003A is a good relay driver.  A 2N4400 transistor will do the job too.  Both are very easy to connect.

  • Why not my Macbook Pro to manage over 3 USB devices?

To make music, I need 3 usb devices. However, my macbook has only 2 usb ports. I thought that using a hub usb can help, but every time I plug 3 devices (one on macbook and usb hub with two usb devices), one of the devices does not work.

For example, I have an audio interface, a mouse and a keyboard. When all three are connected, the midi keyboard does not work (is not recognized). When I unplug the mouse, the keyboard is recognized.

There is no work around for this? It would be a problem with my usb hub?

The devices have their own supply or is the hub, a powered hub? If it's a powered hub connecting all three devices inside.

  • How to export pictures on email USB

We have pictures on our mailing list and would like to download them on a key usb please help

    Hey 271535,

This isn't really a specific thing of Firefox, but you can always right click on the image and choose "save under". This will give you the ability to call the file and the location where to save them. Simply select your USB drive as destination location and you should be set.

I do not know what email provider, you are using, but many of them offer a feature to download lots of pictures at a time if they are all attached to the same email.

  • Satellite L300 - Vista - Touchpad and USB mouse does not.

    Hello

Well well after hours of trying allsorts, I post here...

Been given the laptop for repair as the touchpad no longer. No problem "I thought", simply plug a mouse usb to help me get around and re - install the touchpad... what a joke.

On the right, the USB mouse is recognized as a hid device and work, according to the Manager of devices, but not when you move it... nothing...
The Touchpad is listed as a Synaptics ps/2 touchpad and signals a Code 10 in section mouse device as well as listed as a hid and fully functional usb mouse Manager.

    Right... I have...
Listed all devices, even the hidden nonpresent (devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices) and removed everything only account of any mouse, keyboards, etc...
uninstalled the software synaptics via the program Panel.
Restarted the laptop, and it starts with the touchpad is ranked again code 10 with the version of windows drivers.
Drivers up to date using two different files of Toshiba for the touchpad, still Code 10
Still, the USB mouse does not either.

Someone enlighten me please on a fix for this...

    Hello

Really strange what s my friend because normally a touchpad driver update should solve the problem.

In any case, have you ever tried to use the Toshiba Recovery disk? Maybe it s just a software problem and a few important Windows files are destroyed or don t work properly. Reinstall Windows using the recovery disk Toshiba takes only a few minutes and there are already all the drivers and tools integrated. With these parameters (factory settings), the touchpad should work properly, and if not the touchpad or the motherboard needs to be replaced maybe.

    Good bye

  • HP Envy 5532 - Win 7 64 - bit - USB printing problem

    Hi all

I recently bought a HP Envy 5532 all-in-one, which is located to the sides of

my HP Compaq 6000 running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

I tried a few HP diagnostic programs, which recognize,

but do not solve the problem and suggest uninstall and start again.

I also installed the latest driver download, rather than the installation disc.

I also tried the Fixit Windows for the USB, nothing helps.

My problem is, no matter how to install software/drivers to support this

device, I can't print via USB.

Once installed, I print a test page for 'printer properties', I can see the coil of the page

in the active jobs window, then disappear and... nothing.

There seems to be a link broken between the printer and USB001 which is the virtual USB port

Everyone knows and if so, please share how you solved.

as it is driving me crazy.

    Thanks in advance

After doing a bit more research, it is certainly a problem of Windows security permissions.

I have a workaround by following this link and can now print. :-), but do not know the security implications.

Not sure that the installer sets incorrect permissions during installation,

Certainly, I ran the installer as an administrator and still had the problem.

Maybe you could advise on the required parameters?
