USB, dead after install XP Professional on 1850-S801 - HELP!

When I got the laptop XP Home edition has been installed. Windows XP Professional is installed and in the Device Manager I detected USB devices. But any device I plug in USB, not a single device is detected and I get no response at all the USB ports.
I could try to reinstall the original OS with the CD provided with the Satellite, namely if the USB port does not work, but who could throw me back too much on my work. Who could help me find the right drivers for USB on this Satellite 1850-S801 to Windows XP Professional? Thanks in advance...

Hello

When you bought your laptop a CD entitled Tools & Utilities CD was delivered. This CD includes all the drivers and utilities for XP, there is no difference between the home and the Professor

If you have installed the Chipset utility? Normally, there is the USB driver included, so you can check the BIOS and set the USB Legacy Mode.

The other pilots and utility would be also useful Modules either common or Power Saver.

I installed CS5 Design Premium for my new hard drive, the installation was successful. However, the update has failed. Feedback from the failure: "there was an error downloading this update. • USB issues after installing Windows 7

    Hi guys,.
Yesterday I upgraded my Vista 64-bit for Windows 7 64 bit PC. I did a clean and updated installation in the form of my readers in the process. Everything works fine except one thing.
I bought a new audio interface for recording and playback of music. It's a Focusrite Scarlett 18i6. I installed all the software including updates since the Focusrite website and everything seems to be ok. I started to play music from itunes to test it and it worked well for a couple of minutes, then it disconnects just himself.
It shows that it is connected in the Device Manager and the windows volume control panel. But it disconnects from the control panel of mixture of Scarlett and itunes stops playing because it no longer recognizes that there is an output device.
The only way to let him play again is to unplug and plug back the power of the interface, and then it will work for a few minutes or a few seconds.
I tried to update all my drivers in Device Manager. Unfortunately Acer does not all the drivers for my PC and windows 7. (Aspire X 1700).
I have downloaded all Windows updates.
I even tried to reinstall Windows 7.
I'm trying this with nothing else installed on my pc is not a software conflict.
I have an old XP computer, age about 6 years old and works like a slug, but it works with the interface very well. So I know that the problem doesn't lie with the interface.
I saw somewhere that there is a known problem with USB drivers when using Windows 7, so I downloaded the patch, but it is said that it is not necessary on my PC.
I'm very, very close to buying a new PC that I don't really want to do until I'm sure it's a problem with my PC which can not be repaired and that the same thing won't happen with a new Windows 7 pc.
And Yes, my interface is compatible with Windows 7.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have tried everything I can think.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    Hello
You don't have to remove the keyboard and mouse USB. Try to reinstall the USB controllers. Visit the site of the manufacturer for the latest available drivers.
    http://support.Acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1
As you mentioned that Acer has no drivers for Windows 7, you can install the drivers for the chipset in Vista compatibility mode and check.

  • System randomly crashes after installing the latest update of Windows 7

I am operating Windows 7 OS on 64-bit pc. Since the automatic updates of Windows on 01/10/13, I experience a freeze randomly the system on a range of applications. I tried other updates and basic system maintenance tasks are completed, but the problem persists. Can you help me please?

    Hi Stuart,

I see that the computer hangs at random after installing some updates. I'll help you with this problem.

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

    2. what security software is installed on the computer?

    3. which windows update has been installed recently?

Let us try these steps and check the status.

    Method 1.

Start the computer in safe mode with network and run a full scan of computer viruses.

Advanced startup options (including safe mode): http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

Run a full scan of the computer with the Microsoft Safety Scanner to make sure that the computer is virus-free.

    Microsoft safety scanner: http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Warning of Security Scanner: there could be a loss of data while performing an analysis using the Microsoft safety scanner to eliminate viruses as appropriate.

    Method 2.

Start the computer in a clean boot state, and check the status. A clean boot to test if any element of service or third party application startup is causing this issue.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7 and Windows 8:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: Once you have finished troubleshooting, follow step 3 in the article to start on normal startup.

    Method 3.

I suggest that you can exercise SFC scan and check if that helps. The SFC/SCANNOW command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

  • His Dell Inspiron 1420, microphone and camera integrated into the laptop does not work after installing Windows 7 Professional

No sound from my Dell Inspiron 1420 and the microphone and built-in laptop camera do not work after installing Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. My laptop has Windows 7 Vista 32 - bit family premium. My laptop is 64-bit capable and after going through the Upgrade Advisor, I installed Windows 7 64-bit. I can hear sounds when I use a headset plugged into the line-in Jack, but not through the speakers built into the laptop. I already tried new drivers from the Dell website, but I could not find.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

As it is has no drivers 64 bit Windows 7 on Dell Web site, your best chance is to install the 64-bit versions of Vista (if they exist) in compatibility mode, viz:

Right click on the Vista driver, then select Properties > Compatibility tab. Now choose to run the program in Vista compatibility mode and then apply > OK. Right click on the file and select run as administrator to install it.

    Thank you

It seems that you have a damaged file somewhere in your installation.  You will need to go into the control panel and select the option to repair the installation.  You will need to run the repair twice due to a known problem.  After that, you need to reinstall the NI_Daqmx 9.4.

  • PC Pavilion laptop: no sound on Pavilion g6 after installing the new battery CMOS

I have a Pavilion g6z - 1 d 00 CTO Notebook PC, model A2F43AV number.  It came with Windows 7 Home Premium, and I upgraded the operating system to Windows 7 Pro (64 bit).

The problem is that I did not sound, either through headphones or the speakers even if the Volume is set at 55. I first noticed the audio problem after replacing the CMOS battery, as the laptop is 4 years old and he gave me intermittent wireless connectivity problems.  After installing the new battery CMOS, I noticed the wireless driver was missing and downloaded/installed.  Everything was fine except the audio.  Then I reset the BIOS but nothing there as the BIOS version is v.49, and it is the most recent.

I have also downloaded/installed the driver audio and rebooted the PC.  Still, there is no noise.

Finally, I have checked the audio drivers and the reporting system they work without any problem.

    What should I do next?

    Thanks, Terry

    Thanks for the reply,

I was under the impression that these links would take you to guide step by step, however, it seems that they do not work,

However, I have provided details below:

To perform a hard reset on a computer equipped with a removable battery, follow these steps:

    1. Turn off the computer.

    2. Remove the computer from the docking station or port replicator.

    3. Disconnect all external devices from devices such as USB, external displays storage devices and printers.

    4. Disconnect the power adapter from the computer.

    5. Remove the battery from the compartment to batteries.

    6. Press and hold button power for about 15 seconds, remove any residual electric charge capacitors that protect memory.

    7. Insert the battery and plug the power adapter into the laptop, but do not connect peripheral devices.

    8. Press the power button to turn on the computer.

    9. If a boot menu appears, use the arrow keys to select start Windows normally and then press the Enter key.

    10. After you have reconnected each peripheral device, run Windows Update and HP Support Assistant to update all device drivers.

To perform a hard reset on a computer equipped with a sealed or non-removable battery, follow these steps:

    1. Turn off the computer.

    2. Remove the computer from the docking station or port replicator.

    3. Disconnect all external devices from devices such as USB, external displays storage devices and printers.

    4. Disconnect the power adapter from the computer.

To perform a system recovery, this link should work: click here

Keep me posted for any technical assistance,

    Kind regards

  • Computer OS used to start after installing windows 10

Hello im having problem starting my system after installing windows 10. I did the install and it worked fine since the upgrade to 8.1. But then I tried to format the drive and in the menu format, he's stuck at 2%, and then I restarted the computer. Now it will hang at the hp logo and go back to the same logo. Do I have to replace my hard drive?

What I understand, if you have completed the 10 Windows Installer and everything has happened until the end, then you are supposed to be able to do a clean install with the download of Windows 10 DVD or USB.  With a working computer, GO to THIS PAGEand scroll down to the button "download tool" selection the 64-bit version.  Once clicked, it will ask you if you want a DVD or USB for the iso.

Once it's done and you have the DVD or the USB version, see if you can install Windows 10.  If this fails, you may need to replace the hard drive.

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

According to your description, my guess is that the program that you used has replaced the boot files on the hard drive, NOT on the flash drive. Thus, your PC no longer starts.

To resolve startup problems, you need access to a PC for this phase of work in order to create the necessary support to fix your PC boot loader.

You will need to create something called a CD-ROM to repair Win7 - which you could have done for free when Win7 was working.  This will repair the boot loader files, and if that is the problem, your PC will start OK after that.

But now, which can be obtained (with supplement) from this link: http://neosmart.net/blog/2009/windows-7-system-repair-discs/

When you download this file, it will be an ISO file.

To make a CD bootable it, you will need to download and install ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/

Once you have installed, run, select the option "Save image to disk file" and select the downloaded ISO file and that it points to a blank CD.

To make a USB bootable of it, you will need to download and install RUFUS: https://rufus.akeo.ie/

Once you have that, it is executed in the input of the unit, use the drop down menu to select the USB stick.  Near the bottom right, where is written 'Create a bootdisk to aid', select the ISO file downloaded.
    -------------------------------------

Boot from the media that you have created and follow the instructions in this link: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/681-startup-repair.html

You will probably need to run Startup Repair three times for him to fix all the boot loader.

Once completed, your PC should start OK.

    Good luck

    Can you help me?

Where am I wrong? What should I do?

First of all he must know that if you are going to install together the Toshiba drivers after installing the OS to do in the right order!
On the Toshiba driver page, you will find the Installation Instructions. You will need to follow the guide line! It is important to properly work all the functions!

In addition, you will need to select the right OS. There are two: XP and XP MCE.

To control buttons Toshiba works correctly, you will need to install the controls.
But as I said above: follow the instructions in the insulation.

A few words on the TV tuner:
As far as I know, you can only use the TV tuner in the country where the laptop was purchased because different PAN and NTSC settings.
In addition, the TV tuner driver offers TV tuning and recording capabilities using Media Center on your computer. If you have any MCE so I put t know how you want to watch TV.
