Usb keys do not work on HP CM1415FNW

I have a printer HP CM1415FNW. I need to scan and transfer of files on my usb key. In fact, the printer may read less than 8GB, over her keys cannot read.

Is there a solution?

According to this Manual on the walk up to the USB function, the printer does not support USB flash drives, over 2 GB, so it's likely that the 8 GB working.  You could try to do an update of the firmware and see if that gets a job 16 GB, but more probably it won't help.  If you need help with the update of the firmware, I would like to know what operating system using the your and I'll connect you to the latest version.

But I have several problems with VISTA.

    Hello PG_eu,

First of all if still under warranty, contact the manufacturer to execute tests for your USB slots. Have you tried to see if other devices work on the USB plug? The manufacturer of your may be able to replace your computer if needed.

Then, I'd go for the Device Manager to see if you have errors. Go to Device Manager and see if you have a yellow fringe! showing that there are errors with your USB devices. Open the Device Manager in Windows Vista via the management utility of the computer, the Control Panel, or from the command prompt by typing in devmgmt.msc.

You can go to the different tabs and see if the devices work properly, should be cancelled or update your drivers.
You can also go into the event viewer and see if you have errors on your hardware devices.

    I hope this helps.

  • Pny 4 GB USB key does not work on my new computer?

PNY 4 GB USB attached flip key will not work on anything ive tried including the update of drivers on each computer for that material and all the drivers?

You have the latest firmware on the SSD?

Have you installed all the drivers and software listed on the site Web of Toshiba? Make sure that you install the Intel Chipset utility first, followed by second PVAT.

Also make sure you have Win7 SP1 before you install the drivers and update the BIOS to the latest revision.

If you still can't make it work, you can order the Toshiba recovery disks and install the original image on the SSD, so everything works correctly.

State of the device is visible in Device Manager?
Do you see yellow exclamation points or some error as the Code 28 error codes?

If Yes, then I would recommend first installing all the updates of Windows and service pack 2.
Then remove the USB device from Device Manager. You should remove all the USB controller and hubs from the Device Manager list.
    Reboot the laptop.

After rebooting again Win XP should recognize the USB ports again deleted and should re-install the drivers.

    In my case it worked!

  • Command + Option + P + R keys do not work

    Hello world

I have a 2 models of macbook pro 2010. When I first got them I gave each a password firmware, but for some strange reason, one of them the password does not work! So I need to reset it. I read the forums where it says to remove 1 stick of RAM (fact), reset the SMC (which is), then hold down COMMAND + OPTION + P + R hown to reset the PRAM.

Problem is to keep these keys does nothing. The macbook starts just to the top as usual. GRRR! It's infuriating! I've tried everything. I also met several other MacBook & macbook pro in the past when he had the chip of ram only 1 I tried to case.have, 2 chips of RAM, Exchange autour, new ram, and 3 other different types of RAM, still the same problem. I have 2 x 2 GB ddr3 1333 mhz in there. I tried chips to 4 gb and 8 gb chips as well. Why the these keys are not suitable? I just don't understand and it's very frustrating because it works just fine on the other macbook pro and the specification and even the model is exactly the same thing...

I know that the keyboard is OK because the holding CONTROL + OPTION + SHIFT and the power button to do an SMC reset works very well. and Yes, I tried to connect a wired usb macintosh keyboard. These keys do not work either and I know that the keyboard is fine because it works on the imac. I find it confusing that google has no answer for that, surely someone else has had this problem?

You can reset PRAM with Terminal too: http://osxdaily.com/2015/12/16/view-clear-nvram-mac-command-line-osx/

  • "Your bootable USB key could not be created there is not enough space available on the disk.

I am trying to install a partition of Windows 7 with an ISO on a flash drive with Boot Camp Assistant. Everytime I try it however, I get the error "your bootable USB key could not be created there is not enough space available on the disk. The flash drive that I use for this is 64 GB, so I doubt that the issue has to do with not enough available space. I have already tried the obvious, like reformat the flash drive and retry the write. Is there something I could hurt or do differently to make it work?

I contact toshiba support but have no information on what it.

    What can I do?

    Diego

    Hello

I think that your keyboard is faulty.
Connect an external USB keyboard and check if both CTRL would work.
If both work correctly using the external keyboard, then your internal keyboard should be replaced to solve this problem.

  • The internal keyboard BACKSPACE key does not work

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite and the BACKSPACE key does not work.

He will start work the rare opportunity, but then it just stops working again.
This happens on everything, including word and internet ect.

It has been like that for a few weeks now and I turned the laptop and turn off many times.
Is there a way to fix it myself or I send for repair?

    Please, * don't * tell me:
    Get an external keyboard
Try it turn on and off
Just highlight the words and use the delete key - it's annoying to have to do this all the time
Type carefully and do not make so many mistakes

    Thank you!

    > Please, don't tell me not to:
    > Get an external keyboard

And why shouldn't t someone recommends you to check the functionality using the external keyboard?

It s recommended to connect an external keyboard to verify how the BACKSPACE key would work using 2nd external keyboard. In case the back might work properly using USB keyboard, the question is very clear; in such cases its main shortcomings. The key cannot be replaced or changed or fixed. In this case, need to replace the entire keyboard!

In case the BACKSPACE key does not even using the external keyboard, then this would mean that the internal keyboard controller is faulty and in this case only the replacement motherboard would be useful.

But to be honest, I think that its simple keyboard failure and a replacement would solve this.

  • Satellite C660 - the SHIFT key does not work

    Hello

    I have a problem with a Satellite C660.
The keyboard, I cannot use the SHIFT key. After you have installed windows everything worked properly, the problem recurs after a few days. Practically the SHIFT key does not work.
On the one hand I'm the A and the other side works like ESC.

    Help me I'm crazy.
    Thank you.

    Hello

To me that sounds more like a keyboard failure, I can't imagine that it could be linked to the question of the windows operating system do you have tested an external USB keyboard.

Please test this. In this case, you can check if it s really a software problem.
If the USB keyboard works correctly, it means that your internal keyboard is malfunctioning.

    Hello

    > This problem start after a storm in my area some time ago.

Because other devices don't work properly and because procedure didn t get it back help you solve this problem, I think that the problem is related to the hardware malfunction possibly that the motherboard was hit by lightning, which would explain the problems

I think you should ask the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country to check the motherboard.

But in my opinion, that the warranty does not cover the issues of environmental impact maybe your household insurance could help you

  • U940-11 x satellite: FN + keyboard keys do not work correctly

    Dear all,

I have problems with my Toshiba Satellite recently bought U940-11 X, serial number 2D015354K.

    1. at each reboot the laptop my keyboard settings are not accurate and symbols and function keys do not work properly. So it is also not possible to enter the bios via F2 after reboot.
I have to press CTRL + SHIFT to have my keyboard works correctly. I have to do this every time I use my laptop.

    2. the touchpad (Synaptics TouchPad SMBus) does not work after a few minutes. The only thing I can do is plug an external usb mouse. I have also tried using FN + F9 does not work.

Please, can someone help me on this?

    Thank you!

    > So it is also not possible to enter the bios via F2 after reboot.

I see that the laptop using Win 8.
You need to perform a full stop down to access the BIOS.

See this document. It provides information how to change the settings to access the BIOS:

    + Perform a complete shutdown in Windows 8 +.

    > I have to press CTRL + SHIFT to have my keyboard works correctly.
Have you checked the presentation of the keyboard settings?
For me, it looks like you are using wrong keyboard layout settings. Using the key combination CTRL + SHIFT changes between keyboard layouts.

    How do I change this?
Go to the Control Panel-> regional and Language Options
A click on the "Keyboards and languages" tab then click on "change keyboards" button. Then in the tree "Installed services" list, select the keyboards you don't want and click 'remove.

  • CTRL keys do not work on Portege R500

Both CTRL keys do not work on my Portege (Vista Biz) 500.

I guess this isn't a hardware problem. Because that both keys are not recognized even though I hardly use the CTRL button on the right.

I don't know if it is caused by a program (newly installed). I've just updated BIOS 1.6 without effect.

I also tried to boot the system with Linux on a USB key. Also, the keys do not work on Linux.

Does anyone have experience with this problem?
Can I remove the keyboard driver and reinstall it? Could someone explain the procedure?

Thank you for all the advice

    > laptop does not respond to the Ctrl + alt + delete even before starting an OS (for example, while being in its menu of BIOS).
The keys Ctrl + alt + delete key combination can be used ONLY in Windows OS
It will work not in the BIOS or Windows boot has not been done!

Finally, you must make sure that your laptop uses the latest version of the BIOS.
If a newer BIOS is available that be updated!

If this does not help, retrieve the device using Toshiba drive!
If the key still won't work, then you should get in touch with an ASP in your country.

Here are the steps you have to do
