USB not connect not not on Win8.1 for DeskJet 1512

I have a new laptop with Windows 8.1 and I bought a new HP DeskJet 1512.  I try to install the printer and the USB does not yet recognize the connection.  This is related to a printer of 15' cable.

I tried on a Windows 7 machine and USB has been recognized as unknown.  I installed the HP driver and had something to print this machine.  A lot of hassle, but at least now I know the cable doesn't work and the driver.

I return to the machine of 8.1 and still nothing.  There is no error in device drivers.  I manually installed the printer on LPT1 and the laptop says the drivers are there, but I'm not connected to the physical printer.

I spent to Microsoft and makes the difficulty they have for the USB turns off not.  I can't identify what USB printer is connected to given that the cable connection is not even be recognized.

I changed the USB Sockets and my mouse works in each of them but the printer cable is not recognized in any of them.  I am ready to return the printer if I can't even get connected.  Help please

None of the fixes work.  I asked about the length of the cable.  I finally found something in the window stuff 8 of which 3 m is the longest to be used.  Wal-Mart has packed a 15 feet with the printer.  I'll get another cable that is less than 9 ' and try again.  I'll put something on this thread on the question of whether it works or not.  Thank you for responding.

When I was reviewing its system, is come/gone several times, disappeared for a few minutes, then flashed again once again.

  • Satellite A30 does not start with the USB device connected at boot time

    Hello

I have a Satellite A30 and sometimes it does not start.
After turning on, not even the BIOS starts.
even if sometimes the BIOS starts, but the OS does not load.

I figured out that its related to USB devices connected at boot time.
If no USB devices are connected, it starts without a problem.
Even if the start-up is suspended, as soon as you unplug start it BIOS USB devices.
Its ok to connect USB devices later, once the system has started.
I disabled "removable devices boot" and "network startup."
just in case, but it makes no difference.

BIOS is version the most recent (1.70) and it comes up with all kinds of USB devices.
printer, mouse and (self-powered) external USB hard disk.

    Is this a known issue?
There is no known workaround solution?

    Hello

I put t know why this happens, but it has to do with the BIOS.
The same thing happened on my old laptop. I couldn't start my unit while the USB printer has been turned on and connected.
The only solution is to disconnect the external USB device during the boot process.

RSY you should check if the order of boot in the BIOS has been on the HARD drive first.

  • to detect if the USB is connected or not in labview

I want to detect if the USB is connected or not using labview

    Hello

A simple method you can use to list out the folders on your computer.

If no key USB is connected to your computer, you will get the name of pen drive.

First download all the number of readers. Constant than this value if the next time with your USB drive, you get the number of elements is longer then one fixed, then you can say external peripheral is connected with the PC.

Maybe this is not the standard method to detect the device, but it may solve your problem.

    Thanks and greetings

  • Connected USB not accessible when file system

    Hello

We are developing an application for BB 4.6 and we meet a strange error when the BB is connected to the desktop via USB software.

Our application downloads files from the internet and stores it in the "file:///store/home/user/app_dir/". We check if this directory is already created with:

    file = (FileConnection) Connector.open (localPath, Connector.READ_WRITE);

    If (! file.exists ())

create dir and the rest of the code...

When USB is connected, we always get a "IOException: file system error (1003)" on the line "Connector.open.

Forums for research, we found that this error may be related to the SD card, but the dir refers to the memory of BB, so we do not understand why we are getting the error.

We noticed that when the USB is connected, the function 'Explorer' in the multimedia menu option shows a message asking the user to disconnect the USB cable to see the files.

Is this a normal behavior when the USB is connected? If this is the case, is there a standard way to alert the user about this situation?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Kike

1 only one source can access a system of files at once.  If the microSD card or local storage is used by your PC (via USB), it will be accessible from the smart phone BlackBerry itself.

You can check this by trying to navigate in this area of the application of media on the BlackBerry smartphone.

  • USB not connected

I have a C4280 "All-in-One", printer/Scanner/Copier for years.  He ran very well with MAC OS Tiger and snow leopard.

Now, I've updated for Lion. (10.7.2) I can print and copy.  I can't scan.  When I try, I get the error message "USB not connected".

(USB cable is connected, of course)

I've updated all my software with Mac software update - although I check I have to correct driver for Lion?  I don't see it anywhere.

I tried to 'uninstall' all my software driver with the uninstaller provided with the driver.  Also, I did everything drag in my trash.  Then I tried to update all the software again (via Mac).  No update.

Any help would be appreciated!  Thank you!  Jocelyn

    Hello

The software is currently available for your device via Apple Software Update.

Don't forget that the HP scanning Application is not compatible with Lion and you need to analyze using module Apple ICA (preview, Capture of Image or print & Scan), as you can see below:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02911238

The preview and Capture of Image are located in the Applications folder.

So, you can use the scan tab located under system preferences > print & scanning.

If recover updates fails for any reason, you can download and install the HP printer software 2.8 below, then you should be able to scan by one of the above methods:

    http://support.Apple.com/downloads/DL907/en_US/HPPrinterDrivers2.8.dmg

If still face you any problem, please check the key USB is directly connected to your Mac and not via a USB hub or extention.

  • HP LaserJet P1102: USB not recognized during installation of HP LaserJet P1102

I have a Sony Vaio VPCEH computer laptop with Windows 7 and when I run the disk I got with the printer on my laptop, that the installation procedure works in what concerns the section "Install printer Software". When you are prompted to turn on the printer and connect the cable USB to the laptop it says 'USB not recognized '.  I tried all 4 slots USB into my laptop but the USB still appears as an unknown device with an exclamation point in a yellow triangle. I searched internet solutions and tried to uninstall the unknown device in Device Manager and restart the installation with the disc, I also tried clicking on the unknown device driver software update but it says the software driver is up to date and still, it shows as an unknown device and is not recognized. I also tried to uninstall the HP software from the disc on my laptop and that reinstall but nothing has worked. I felt for over 2 weeks now and have not been able to use it because of this problem and I really need for University, so I would be very happy if someone could please give me a solution to this problem

    Hi @Janemaguire,

Have you tried another USB cable?

Because the printer is not detected on the Mac, it may be the USB port of the printer.

What happened when you tried to install the printer on Mac?

    Error messages?

What is the model Laserjet P1102w?

    Let me know. Thank you.

  • Laptop HP 630, generic peripheral MIDI usb not recognized

I have a problem with a laptop HP 630 of all nine (clearance stock) (LV425PA #ABG): this is not to recognize a generic USB MIDI device (keyboard). When the unit is plugged in, I get a message "USB device not recognized". He calls an "unknown device" Manager of devices and says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) ». The computer has been reset with a minimal installation of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit for the recovery partition, with all the HP and Microsoft updates applied, but still refuses to recognize the device.

I also have a new (stock clearance) desktop HP 4000 P. This computer immediately recognizes the keyboard when it is connected and properly installed the drivers for it. Even before installing updates - it works straight out of the box. We can exclude the device MIDI as the cause of the problem. Apart from the obvious differences of chipset, the only other difference is that the 4000 P running the 32-bit edition of Windows 7 Home Premium.

I would appreciate help with this question, because the reason I bought the 630 HP was in first place for the use of MIDI, and it will have been a waste of time and effort if it can not be implemented in this role.

After much effort, I have determined that it is a subtle hardware problem. The MIDI keyboard USB works fine on two other computers, but not the 630 HP. Similarly, several other USB MIDI devices have worked without difficulty on the 630 HP. Only the specific combination of HP 630 and the particular MIDI keyboard fails. It turns out, however, that they work if connected with a USB cable that is shorter than the one supplied with the keyboard. It is only the combination of three-way MIDI keyboard, cable USB and HP 630 that fails. Change any part and everything works.

Obviously, this sensitivity to the length of the cable means that something is a little marginal on the hardware, but the fault seems to be shared between the two HP 630 and the MIDI keyboard, since they both work when paired with anything else on the same cable. I'll have to wait and see if there are other problems in the normal conditions of use.

  • Why am I suddenly "USB not recognized, one of the devices USB has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize"

Hi all. If anyone out there in Cyber Land can solve this problem for me so I've personally you will issue an eight-pack of ice-cold beer (or a bottle of wine for the ladies lol)...

I'll try not to waffle too guys, so here's...

Right my PC running Windows XP. I also have itunes installed on my PC (I have an iphone 4). Upward until yesterday my iphone and itunes were working well, (once I plugged my iphone in the itunes USB port recognised that my iphone was plugged and synchronization was fine etc.).

But now when I plug my iphone to PC to sync with itunes, I get a pop up box on the lower right part of the screen that reads... "USB not recognized one of the USB devices has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize."

After visiting about 5 different sites now "Ways to solve this problem", believe it or not, I still have the problem bloody! :(

A site proposed shutdown PC and unplug it from the power supply, then plug it back start-up and back... this as did not work!
The other they say that I should go to Device Manager, uninstall all the USBs then restart... it did not work either.
    Tried a system restore
    Tried to reinstall itunes

When I check the names USB in Device Manager, there is one who reads unknown device. I am literally pulling what's left of my hair now. I tried to solve this problem for almost 2 days now and still no joy. That's why no matter what input you guys would be very appreciated. I'm no PC Wizard, so please, don't think you're patronizing me if you break down things step by step for me.

Thank you comrades, cordially, Freddy frustrated. :)

Another said I should go to Device Manager, uninstall all the USBs and restart.

Usually, this works... but can be very dangerous, unless you have a PS/2 keyboard.

I also assume that you have tried all other USB ports on the computer. tried a verified USB device (for example, a flash drive) in the USB usually when you plug in your iPhone. and I tried your iPhone in another computer (I know it's rare for an error message Windows really means what he says, but sometimes the material lacks).

Is the charge of the iPhone when it is connected to the USB port (I don't think)?  This happened to me recently, but a reboot fixed it.  I guess that that happened to you.

I guess that you don't see the error messages in Device Manager or you must declare them.

You can uninstall all USB devices that do not exist as follows:

    • Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK)
    • Enter the following command and press enter

    Set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices = 1

    • Start the Device Manager by typing the following in the same command prompt window

    devmgmt.msc

    • In Device Manager, click the view menu and select "Show hidden devices".
    • You should see a category just after "Non-Plug and Play drivers" named "other devices."  Chances are that there will be a big exclamation yellow mark beside it.  When you expand the "other devices" you should see several non identified "USB devices."  Uninstall all this.
    • Reboot (with the iPhone NOT connected).
