  • USB ports don't work, help!

It all started when I followed the advice to uninstall usb ports because I wanted to put back front usb midi or usb keyboard. But Windows 7 64 bit not acknowledged on the back usb port, so I uninstalled usb ports and now system always tells me it can't find the driver for any usb ports 7. Now Win can not install any usb device and the keyboard or the mouse wireless, I also tried another mouse. In the work of bios mouse and keyboard.

Just don't tell me to install the new copy of Windows.

I tried really many solutions: remote connection I tried, again uninstall usb and install asus motherboard drivers, no luck.

He acknowledged I usb controller but always after I connect it will automatically try to install the mouse driver and it says "Unknown device" "device driver software was not properly install.

Restore point has tried, without success because of the mistake, that he can't go back.

Recovery Console has tried, all solutions of no repair no chance.

Watched a lot of solutions on the net, could not find the right answer.

Tried to delete usbstor and usb recording

Open gpedit to prevent Windows to automatically search for driver software, no luck.

I finally got from nearby ps2 mouse then tell me how to fix the usb ports!

Maybe is something deeper in the Windows system or is it something so simple?

    Help, please.

Yes, but I think it's good now, I knew it was something simple ridiculous, feeling so stupid now, I almost tried everything.

Seems I was missing USB.inf in the Windows inf folder, but it was just half task. When I tried again to install the USB drivers in Device Manager that I manually navigate to composite usb and usb root hub driver automatically generated list so before Windows search and found nothing. Everything works now, so happy, tried 24 hours to solve this problem and on the end it's always something simple :)

Thanks for trying to help, really appreciate it!

    installation of USB, updated

    Hello

    ·        What are the steps that you took to resolve the problem?

    ·        Since when are you facing this problem?

    ·        Remember to make changes to the system?

    ·        What happens when you try to plug in external devices on the system? You get the error message?

It could be that the USB drivers have not corrupted. I suggest you to uninstall the drivers from Device Manager and let windows when the system boots reinstall it. Follow the steps mentioned below.

    a. click on Start menu and type device manager in the search box of start and press ENTER.

    b. click on the USB (Controller Universal serial bus) to develop the list and remove the drivers that are installed on the system.

    c. close Device Manager, and then restart the computer.

    d. let windows install the drivers for the USB ports automatically.

    e. Once you have reinstalled the drivers, connect the camera and check if you're able to connect to the system or not.

  • X 51 - R2. Before USB ports do not work

I just got my new Alienware X 51 R2 recently. I begin to test on my new computer. Then I found at the front, two USB ports do not work! My USB device is functional because it works when I connect it to the rear USB ports. I don't know what problem is it? I tried to update and install the driver too much on Dell.com. It's a new pc and therefore disadvantage if the front USB ports do not work. Help, please

Just for someone else who has this problem. It's actually all because the cable that connects the USB card to the front of the motherbard is connected with a black cable. You will probably find that opening upwards, you will find that the thick black cable is not connected.

Once reconnected, you will have your USB market back again. You will also find that your AlienFX works. I just had this problem and after the challenging my brain trying different drivers, reinstalling the operating system, make drains of power without meaning, try all USB, I, I thought I would check the actual cable and voila. Hope it helps others in the future.

    Hello

    > This problem start after a storm in my area some time ago.

Because other devices don't work properly and because procedure didn t get it back help you solve this problem, I think that the problem is related to the hardware malfunction possibly that the motherboard was hit by lightning, which would explain the problems

I think you should ask the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country to check the motherboard.

But in my opinion, that the warranty does not cover the issues of environmental impact maybe your household insurance could help you

  • Satellite L855 - 14 p - USB ports do not work after the mode 'sleep'

    Heya guys,

I have a strange problem today. The 2 USB inputs on the right side of the laptop (idk who is 2.0 or 3.0) does not work with the reason I can not perceive. These 2 guys are on different days, but in the same way. A month ago, I plugged the mouse USB wireless to one of them, then entered mode 'sleep'. When I came back, I discovered the work of mouse aint.

Then I realized the port I plugged the key USB has no electiricity inside no more. I found it very strange and continuous without using the port of broken, until yesterday. Yesterday, I made the same mistake (a la mode "sleep" in a USB port plugged into the other port - work-) and I have re-opened, the 2nd port is broken in the same way, too. I've mastered Manager devices, regedit, but it has no use. This lead me to think his could be a hardware problem, but how can be possible? Is this a coincidence?

Now, I have to use my 3rd and last port on the right side of the laptop with a USB duplicator.
You have any ideas? Can it be a software problem?

Understand this correctly? The USB ports mentioned don t work even after restarting a new laptop?

In this case, it could be really a hardware problem
But before talking about hardware problems, I recommend to recover the laptop using Toshiba recovery.

Defining the notebook back to factory settings will help you identify the problem: If the USB ports wouldn't work, this s hardware problem.
