    Hello

There were some problems with the last batch of reviews/recommended Windows updates this month this.

Among the updates disabled device USB 2.0 from a USB vendor specific drivers. I found a web reference that can explain what has happened to you. I think that the update has been removed from Windows Update. This article may shed some light on your problem.

You can install each update manually until you find the cause of your problem. Unfortunately, when you find it you will have to restore the system again and avoid this update. Or Microsoft could have pulled the offending update.

Is it only a matter of HP? Impossible to comment on.

I've updated HP four systems, a Dell laptop and a system tailor-made without any problem.

You really don't want to permanently disable future updates of Windows.

The problems begin after that I installed these updates. After restarting the computer, I can no longer use my (HP SK - 2506 U) keyboard and mouse (Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical). I have looked around through the forums and tried several suggestions; However, none have them worked, that's why I post here.

For example, here are the methods that I've tried so far, while using a PS/2 keyboard connected:

    (1) to start the computer in safe mode only to find out that they keyboard and mouse don't always work.

    (2) went in mode Bios and the keyboard works until I leave.

    (3) Microsoft Fix It tool I tried for USB devices and he said that "the changes have been made", but it does not solve the problem.

    (4) I went to the Control Panel, type "Troubleshoot" > find and fix problems > material and audio > configuration of a device, and he says: "material changes may not have been detected."

    (5) download the drivers on their site, but they will not be installed because 'the latest version is already installed. "

    6) going to remove each USB root hub in Device Manager, and then restart the computer to reinstall the drivers. The computer recognizes the 'new' devices,
but then fails to install. Also, when I check their error on each of the USB status then in Device Manager, I get an error (code 52).

    (7) I also tried to install an update, restart the computer and then install the update next to try to reduce down which one is causing the problem. However, this method does no more work. For example, I installed an update, then restarted the computer, and it would be nice. Then install the next update, and the problem would come back. I would therefore restore to a point earlier, thinking that the second update has been the cause of the problem only discover that the problem came back after first re-installation...

I also tried to run a backup of my external hard drive, but it does not work. I also tried to create a system repair disc, and it fails too.

So far, the only way I can "fix" this problem is if I restore my computer to an earlier point in the day and then hide all updates to install automatically.

Now I'm wondering if anyone knows why these problems are happening or fix them for good?

    Hi Floyd,

I appreciate the efforts that you have taken to solve the problem in a few important steps. Since it is a problem that occurs when you try to install updates for Windows, the driver may be signed or corrupted.

Just a few questions in order to get a clear picture of the issue.

    1. make all the windows updates installed successfully?

    2. What is the full error message you see in Device Manager?

Follow the thread and check them off below if it helps.

  • System Restore with the keyboard and the mouse works do not and do not know admin password

I recently decided to update my drivers on my 9 year old bridge. Apparently the program that I used to do didn't realize a bad driver when he sees... Sort of my keyboard and mouse not responding while windows was loaded. They work enough for me to access the bios, enter the menu start and also when I hit enter to boot from a windows cd.
I'm trying to access my restore points to get rid of the driver that has been installed. Unfortunately when I put the windows CD and try the repair option I can't log on to the volume because it requires an administrator password. I tried Admin admin admin admin and leave blank. I even ran a program to reset passwords (I do not use any which way.) still cannot log on to the volume. I also tried to pass in front of the screen to repair and installation of windows to fix this. I can hit escape and pgup and pgdown but not f8 to agree to the agreement.
When I boot in safe mode with command prompt that it still forces me to click on an account to connect. Which I can't because the keyboard and the mouse do not work when windows is loaded.
I can't get to the command prompt to display the box to help restore points?

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I will certainly help the question of fixing.

To help you suggest several steps to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

    6. what happens when you try to play music CDs?

    7. what program you use to play the CD?

Please follow the methods and mark the question below:

Before you install SP1, follow the method 1 and 2.

  • Problem starting el capitan (sierra) - built-in keyboard and the mouse do not respond

    Hello

I have a 2015 macbook pro (SSD 256, 16 GB of RAM last el capitan updated) with a wired problem.

I use it mainly to a cinema monitor and I use wireless keyboard and mouse (office installation program), and of course as a stand-alone laptop when I'm not at my desk.

When I put the laptop to sleep, everything works fine when I wake up.

but, if I'm away from the office and I have to restart my laptop, here is the problem.

The boot process is very very slow, there is no edge, and when I finally have the screen to unlock the safe, the keyboard and the touchpad do not react. Actually, that's not exactly true, they are so slow that they are unusable and get caught quickly, all gel. So I can't unlock and complete the boot. My laptop is unusable ;-(

At this point, I get a message that if I forgot my password I just need to reboot by pressing the power button, and I'll be able to reset it.

When I do this and aprΦs the dΘmarrage that more slowly than usual but ok, I get another screen with several options of problem solving. One of them is "keyboard not responding do not. When choosing this one, it asks if you want to remove safe. I tried and everything was back to normal.

later, I delivered safe and I had the same problem again. I did the thing to be able to restart again and improved to sierra in the hope that it would disappear. However, the problem is still there.

I thought I could try to restart my office to see if my keyboard and wireless mouse would still work. Indeed, even if responsiveness was not normal, I could unlock and fill the chest.

I have the impression that my laptop always "believe" it is on my desk, linked to my screen (probably the reason why I don't hear the Bell) and to my wireless K & M.

It's really annoying and I hope someone has a solution.

    Thank you very much

    best,

    Alex

I'm having a similar problem with macOS Sierra which I didn't have with El Capitan.  I can possibly move the cursor on the power button and turn off (no), but I must be patient because the keyboard and trackpad are only for a fraction of a second, which only allows me to move the mouse slightly.  After he stop and start back up, everything is perfect until I tried another reboot, and then I'm back to the beginning.

I tried to reinstall the operating system, reset the SMC, resetting the NVRAM, reboot in SafeMode... nothing worked so far.

There is no cursor visible. Keyboard and mouse both work fine in the bios and on other machines. Have used other keyboards and mice on the machine in question, but that makes no difference. Tried another copy of vista, no difference. Tested on Windows 7 install and everything works fine!

  • Windows 7 - "USB device not recognized" - to load the new electronic Cigarette device. Help, please?

I have Windows 7 Home Premium.  I just bought a unit of the electronic cigarette, manufacturer is "Innokin Cool Fire IV", the usb charger plugged on Acer laptop and comes to the screen "USB device not recognized".  I loaded different brand before without problem, I don't know what to do and I am NOT GOOD WITH COMPUTERS!  My settings are at "install updates automatically" and I DON'T WANT WINDOWS 10!  Can someone help me please?  Thank you for taking the time to read this.

This seems to indicate that the charger has actually been detected as a device, but Windows can not work it out.

Normally such a device should only connect to 5v and 0v pins and have no connection with the pins of data, in this way, that it will not be seen by Windows. I would be concerned by the quality of the device if it has some form of data connection. If you want to continue with this charger, that I would recommend to use a power supply of 5v USB instead of risking the USB port of the laptop, a lot less expensive if it does not. It has been reported several eCig Chargers catch fire. Something like this:
