USB/SD. 'disconnect '.

In the remote past, when the Micro USB cord is connected to the phone and a computer, it was a way to connect and disconnect it in software, before unplugging the power cord physical. When a cable is plugged into the electrification of 2, you can choose how the connection is managed (File transfer versus transfer of media against camera/photo transfer). Is it possible to disconnect the connection in the software before you remove the cable?

Switch to camera mode effectively ends the AFT/MTP modes and mass storage and allows the device load only without affecting debugging or mount status.

I don't know why they added "camera" and took "charge" but it's basically the same thing.

  • Keyboard USB keeps disconnecting

I have an iMac 21 "under OS X 10.11.6 and randomly my USB keyboard is disconnected from the system.  It is a standard USB, not a bluetooth keyboard, there is no batteries involved.  If I unplug the keyboard and plug it back, it works again... for a while.

Could be one of the following problems.

    The cable is bad.

    The keyboard is bad.

It is loose or faulty USB port on the Mac.

Some-other Device USB is a USB bus. iMac overload

    I'd do it:

    1. try to move the keyboard to the different port at the back of the iMac.

    2. then I would test it for a time with only the keyboard and mouse plugged into the Mac.

    3. then if it happens again, I'll try another keyboard. (most any generic USB keyboard works)

In addition, you didn't say how old the keyboard is...? Might be worth taking in your Apple Store or FSAA, because Apple keyboards are covered for one year.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones USB automatically disconnects from the PC, you can't install OS

    Hello

I bought a used blackberry 8320. I wanted to upgrade the operating system on it, so I installed the BB Desktop Software 4.5, installed latest OS BB8320m from blackberry.com (4.5.0.294) to my PC, connected my phone to the PC via the USB cable and tried to update the operating system, during the update, my phone automatically disconnected a few times when the installer said "Waiting for device to initialize. After that, he went up to "loading software system...» Stage of module rim.bb... «, then the phone unplugged USB and BB Desktop Software displays an error «a fatal error occurred during the update...» ». At this point, my device showed 561 error with a Windows 3.0 as a window with a triangle, square, and a circle in it. I read online that this can be corrected by wiping the phone using Jl_Cmder. I did this, then he displayead '507' on the screen.

Now, I said that I can "easily" solve this by simply loading the operating system on the device. But whenever I try to load the operating system, the phone disconnects automatically during installation. It seems to happen at the same stage.

Later, I realized that if I connect the device to the PC and just leave, it STILL disconnects randomly, almost every 2 minutes!

How can I fix it? I want to install an OS on my blackberry.

I tried this on two different machines, different ports and with + without the battery.

  • USB technology - disconnect all to put software on external HARD drive

It's as much for info regarding aid, because I've never met before.

I bought a disc [described as portable] 500 GB Western Digital external HARD for my old pc Win 7 HPE (the existing external drive is partitioned so that there is not enough place for Windows backup everything, so it really takes a separate drive to get in all about it). The drive is usb 3, but 2-compatible.  In any case, I visited the WD site, to the need and concluded that this player is up-to-date, software-wise, but manufacturers say that all USB devices must be disconnected before applying updates.

It is a little making slam the gob as (a) all devices, including the mouse and keyboard, rely on the usb Sockets; and (b) why unplugging everything?

Because the firmware update routine may try to update the firmware on an incorrect device and make it unusable and unrecoverable.

If you are sure that a device cannot accept an update of the firmware it would be prudent to leave it attached and powered.

  • USB disconnected again this weekend - in offline mode.

I believe that we have a problem and a rather unusual Setup. We have a HP LJ M451dn printer in an office connected via IP to a home network and we have no problems with this network configuration. It has a static IP address outside the DHCP range, etc. and works perfectly. The product is connected to an inverter in this office (surge protection side only).

We wanted to use the same printer for printing of reports to this agency, but from another PC on a different network. Because the IP address is set, we have implemented to be simultaneously connected to this another PC via the USB port (the printer is not shared by any other means).

Once the drivers have been installed, the printer worked fine for about 4-5 days before it went "offline". I spend a day troubleshooting and liquidation of all uninstall and reinstall, thinking that the USB port has been damaged. It worked fine, but after about 4-5 days, the USB connection goes offline. The network to the home network connection still works fine, but the USB connection disconnects. I can activate it "online" again, but any print job sent via USB fails. The right port (port USB001 virtual) is in use. So far, this has happened 3 x more than 3 weeks.
For the two PC's operating system is Windows XP SP3.
Period of sleep and power off delay are turned off.
Wake on USB, LAN, and the press are all on.

Can someone suggest solutions to prevent the printer goes offline via the USB connection?

Interesting, I see the configuration that you have for the machine, and I understand the need for it. To begin we will perform an uninstall and reinstall by using the method I describe. Assure us that both the software AND the firmware are both updated for this machine (both are available in the link below).

First of all, if you use a USB cable, be sure to remove it (it's important). Do not plug it in again until the software instructs you. Through devices and printers, programs and features and issues Device Manager and make sure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. As indicated, and then restart the computer.

  • Satellite A200 - USB Ports stopped working

Hallo, I am DESPERATE for help, please.

I have a Toshiba laptop Satellite A200 series with 32-bit Windows.

My USB ports give me major problems.

I use a USB Internet Modem on multiple computers and it works fine on all computers, including Toshiba.

A month earlier, Internet USB would suddenly and constantly disconnect itself from the Internet, when I use it in the USB one. When I use USB port two, he recorded no more. The port does not have the device.

Two USB ports work well when used by other USB products.

I had always used Internet USB into the USB port, with a cooling for my laptop fan, USB 2 port. Now, when I insert the cooling fan, USB Internet disconnects and will not register, at least I have remove fan, remove and reinsert the USB Internet.

    I did the following:

    1. start an anti-virus
2 uninstall, re-install and update all the drivers for the USB, chipset famlies, Internet Modem ports, EVERYTHING.
    3. I checked with my Internet provider, the problem lies in my PC, not them.

I don't know what to do, I'm tired.

    Help, please!

Now, when I insert the cooling fan, USB Internet disconnects and will not register, at least I have remove fan, remove and reinsert the USB Internet.

I think that it is a problem of USB power.

The USB 2.0 port provides 500mA, and in some cases more than USB ports can be connected to the same power supply to the motherboard.
In case the USB device connected (in your case fan) would need more than 500 ma, it could be that other USB devices do not work correctly.
I recommend you go to Device Manager and select the properties of USB controller.

The last "Power Management" tab contains the option to turn off the device to save power.
This option should NOT be checked. It should be disabled.

    Check it out.

  • USB (series VISA) during reset problem

    Hello

Immediately to the problem that I'm using communications series in labview with microcntroller. Anyway, whenever I connect the USB cable then Labview detects the port and make the communication. But in the average process if I press delivery to ZERO (lost USB) button on the microcontroller then block visa series get the error and program continues to generate the final error with the code. By the way, this happens when ever I want to confirm the user that USB is disconnected or RESET is pressed. Also if you reconnect the USB at the back, then the program should work as usual. Even I tried with error display VI in the programming menu, but I hope it's wrong way. Finally, I would like to correct two things 1) if RESET is pressed to halfway, then it must show a perceptible message from the user. (2) the USb disconnected by person unknown so what can I do in this situation.

I'm using LABVIEW 2009. Please help me.

You can try something similar to the following. However, I would recommend against it because I found that LabVIEW generated errors are very useful for troubleshooting. Message/code often your own mistakes to mask the problems that will be easy to understand if you have the LabVIEW error.

  • OfficeJet pro 8600: Officejet Pro 8600 Connect USB on Windows 10

I've recently updated Windows 8.1 to Windows Pro 10. I lost connection to my Officejet Pro 8600. When I try to reinstall using the HP CD, the system does not recognize the USB cable is connected. The cable I use (which came with the printer) is not under any stress, so I don't think the USB cable is defective. How can I fix? Thank you!

    Hi @ThreeofSeven,

    Welcome to the HP forum.

I understand that you have recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 to Windows Pro 10 and when you try to install using the installation disk supplied with the printer is not recognizing the USB cable. I want to help you with that.

I would like to start by uninstalling all HP Officejet Pro 8600 previously installed software and drivers.

    1. If your printer is connected to the computer with a USB cable, disconnect the cable from the printer.

2 Windows search to uninstall a program, and then click the control panel to uninstall a program in the list of results.

    3. in the list of installed programs, click the name of your HP printer, and then click Uninstall or Yes to confirm uninstallation.

    4. follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation of software.

    5 restart the computer.

Then, use the HP printer installation wizard to install the latest version of the software and drivers for your printer. Note: wait until you are prompted to connect the USB cable.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

In fact, if it helps you to find a solution, please click on the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

    Thank you!
