Use Inspiron One as monitor only?

I have an Inspiron One now coming at the end of his life, and I ordered a new laptop (from dell, of course).

My question is this: is there anyway I can use the excellent screen as a monitor for my laptop Inspiron?

I have a docking station that will allow me to connect, but I don't know how to disable the "computer" part of the Inspiron know how to use the monitor without having to initialize until the entire Insplron One?

Any suggestions please?

Only if it has a port of entry HDMI for video, and even then it might not work. Your model has hdmi for video camera or any other device. It is not practical to use a $500 as an external monitor $ 100 computer. It will not start as a real monitor. You need to start one and the computer that you use and then switch to the external display and then put together a... a waste of time and energy. Test to see how it works or does not work.

Buy another monitor.

  • Prolonged use of the external monitors only

I have a macbook pro and 2 external monitors connected through a USB hub. The views tab shows 3 screens and I don't want my laptop appears as an extended display. How to use only 2 external monitors with El Capitan on a MacBook pro in 2011?

    Thank you

There is one way to have only 2 screens:

  • Inspiron One 2320 Monitor driver

It is a 23 inch screen and I can't find the driver anywhere on the Dell site. For now, I'm just a generic pnp and my screen does not cover the full screen. Help, please! Thank you.

You don't need a monitor driver. You need a video card driver.

Go to the support page for this system and download the video driver for your video card and your version of Windows.

But before you do this, right click on an empty area of the desktop, then select the resolution. Make sure it is set to the native screen resolution so that it fills the entire screen.

  • Dynadock: set up for external monitors only in Windows XP

We have a number of different laptops Toshiba dynadock DVI running Windows XP SP3 and dynadock 2.3 c with the video driver 4.5.14974.0.

They all work very well, exactly as planned, except that the majority of users want to use with the external monitor only.

We are currently their execution in mirror mode because the split screen extended mode is not necessary which requires the external monitor at the same resolution as the screen internal.

All laptops have screens internal standard WXGA 1280 x 800, but find an external 19 "monitor that supports this resolution is a real problem with most being WXGA + 1440 x 900.

I found a 22 "monitor is going to do, but the image is not very strong, probably because its native resolution is WSXGA + 1680 x 1050 and are also just a little more expensive.

I found a document on the Web from Toshiba site we (Document ID: 98082393) that details how to display only the external monitor, probably with the help of whatever the external monitor can manage the resolution which would be perfect, except that it only works with Windows Vista.

If someone has found a way to do this with Windows XP, I tried following the instructions of Vista, but I am unable to set the external monitor as primary display? Toshiba are working on a new video driver that will support this configuration?

Sounds a little crazy for me because this is how the majority of the standard docking stations is used and many companies also have a significant deployment aspect 4:3 or 5:4 screens that obviously don't work well with laptops widescreen in mirror mode.

Our users are currently using XGA 1024 x 768 in mirror mode which, on a big screen is stretched and defeats the main reason for having a large screen. We are the only ones having this problem or are we missing something obvious?

Thanks to anyone with a useful suggestion.

  • can al-in-one Inspiron of replacement I use it as a monitor?

I think I have the Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-one with SSD drive to replace the old ones by All-in-one. Is it possible to use only the part of the all-in-one device monitor?

I plan on getting a Dell docking station, tells me will work with the inspiron. It is not a big problem, I was wondering.

    Your comments are appreciated.

    Ed

No - all to those who are more like laptops. No incoming video entry on the oldest. Check your manual. Even if you have hdmi IN, it would not be appropriate to use as a monitor to a different computer.

  • Dell Inspiron 3043 All in One-2nd monitor?

My dell is not detect a 2nd monitor when I connect it to my Acer monitor.  I tried to use the VGA cable with a HDMI adapter.  I also tried to use a DVI cable to HDMI.  The Acer monitor only has VGA and DVI - D connections?  Is there another way to connect the 2nd monitor?

I have the Dell Inspiron 3043 all in one

You can consider using a USB2 > DVI - D or USB2 > adapter VGA to connect the second monitor, but they are not exactly cheap.

And if you buy one of these adapters, make sure that the one you get can clone (1) internal display, (2) extend the desktop on 2 screens and (3) show 2 different screens simultaneously and is compatible with any version of Windows that you are using.

  • His use of the AIO Inspiron One HDMI input jack 2330?

    Greetings,

I'm looking at the computer Inspiron One of AIO 2330 with the Core i5 processor. I understand that this computer comes with an HDMI port

I can't seem to find information on what I could use this port for so I was wondering if someone could enlighten me. Specifically, I was hoping that he could've able to do the following. My TV provider digital tuner box using HDMI to connect to the TV. I was wondering if I would be able to snag one of the digital tuner until the HDMI in port on the computer and use it as a monitor for the tuner box?

    Thank you

    Gord

    Hey, Gord

Yes, you should be able to do. Let me mention that I did on a XPS One 2720 system and the video was nice connecting the my set - top box HDMI signal. However, the audio did not work. In theory the HDMI can carry video and audio signals, so I don't know what the problem was. But the video part worked fine.

  • Inspiron One 23 (2330) left the port rear HDMI is Indiana only, not RELEASED

Hello everyone. I have a Dell inspiron all-in-one with Windows 8.1 2330. I want to connect a LG monitor via an hdmi cable, but it does not recognize. I am sure that the problem is the device of Dell, as with other devices, the connection works.

The Inspiron One 23 (2330) left rear HDMI port is IN , not OUT. It is designed so that you can connect an external device such as a video camera and display the camera image on the screen of the Inspiron One 23 (2330). You will need to connect an external monitor to the Inspiron One 23 (2330) VGA port on the right rear.

When I open My Webcam Central on my Inspiron One 2320, I get a nice message on the right hand bottom corner 'not supported Webcam. Hmmmmm. When I try to play a DVD, no luck.

    I use Windows 8.1

I went into the Manager.Under Imaging device, there is no sign of a driver for the webcam.

In the section DVD, States of CD-ROM/DVD-ROM HL - DT ST DVDRWBDCT40 N does not properly. When I right click to update him pilot-still no worky.

    Thank you for your help!

    Nora

The webcam is already installed. Central webcam is software and is also already installed. Look at the illustrations in the Quick Start Guide in the list of books below and see that the camera is located on the bezel at the top of the screen has a cover and light. Remove the cover to see if that helps. If you're still having problems, go to this site to help support more-

  • Choice of a model of desktop Inspiron for two monitors

I didn't keep on computer hardware for some time and I found myself completely confused now that I'm looking to choose a new system that will support two monitors. It seemed simple at first, but now I'm a little worried that I'm missing something.

    In any case...

I am looking to buy a desktop Inspiron model relatively inexpensive which allows two monitors. What should I look for to confirm the system that I'm looking will support two monitors? At first I thought that I would need to have a discreet graphics as opposed to something like the graphics card intel integrated, but some of the things I've seen seem to indicate the onboard graphics on some of the tips Intel will do what I need.

I would mainly use for extended desktop just to be able to open MS Excel on both screens, but sometimes I wish I could watch my DIRECTV on one of the monitors (probably by logging into my DIRECTV account, as I do sometimes on my laptop).

Hoping someone can give me an idea here.

    Thanks in advance!

No, I don't say that all Intel adapters will work. The link I gave was a particular model Inspiron. Apparently the web page changed, because when I went back to it, the page was different.

    You buy a system with a card video of at least one of the monitors. Or, if you really want a cheap system, you can buy one that has only the onboard video and then separately purchase a USB > {video) dongle where {video} matches at least one port on the second monitor, for example USB > HDMI.}

  • Dell Inspiron One HDMI question

I have an Inspiron One 2320.  I tried to connect a TV as a second monitor.  To my surprise, the computer's HDMI port is a HDMI input port.  Am I reading correctly?  Can someone please help me and confirm that I can't use the HDMI port to connect to the TV?

If it is in fact a HDMI input, what is - this really for?  What devices that require an HDMI port to send the signal to the computer.

I am so confuse with it, and why even do a HDMI input and not a HDMI output?

    Thanks in advance

I have an Inspiron One 2330 Touch.

Other features include an HDMI port... A HDMI-IN port. It would be something like a Blu - Ray player, cable box or DVR amp HDMI out, Tablet... something like that... like the Inspiron is a simple monitor or HDTV.

I was also surprised that the video output was only a VGA 15 pins. Maybe the next model will have a DVI output. At least this way, either natively or with a converter inexpensive... you can drive DVI, VGA or HDMI even (with no sound). DisplayPort is a versatile alternative.

In your case... If your template does not output a VGA (or your second monitor is not a VGA input)... you should be able to get a "USB video card.

  • Dell Inspiron One 2320 Nvidia GeForce GT 525 m overheating?

Hello. I have a Dell Inspiron One 2320 I think has problems with the graphics card GeForce GT525m of overheating. 5 minutes of a game, even on the detail settings low, the temperature reached quickly 90 + degrees Celsius. The max I've seen is 96 degrees. This occurred on the first day with the computer and I rarely used it to this problem. I know there is no problems with fans and vents being dirty because I checked all and as I mentioned before the machine ran hot on the first day. Airflow behind the appliance is wide open, so I know that there is no obstruction to the air flow.

My wife has a laptop (Inspiron 17R) with an Nvidia GeForce GT525m I've tested the same edition of the games and benchmarks on the, with even more detail settings and it reaches a temperature of about 70 ° c max.

It seems strange to me that a GPU reaches a high temperature in such a short period of time. I have other machines (portable and desktop computers) ever approaching 90 degrees.

Here is some relevant information on the PC in question.

    Model: Inspiron One 2320

    CPU: Intel Core i5 2400 s

    GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT525m DDR3

    RAM: 6 GB

    BIOS version: A10

NVIDIA drivers: Tested several Versions Dell 8.17.12.7073 & Nvidia Version 306.97 not changes of temperature between the pilots, all are about 90 degrees Celsius.

If anyone has experiences similar to this or has a solution I would be very happy. Thank you!

Overheating was a problem with mine, I made a drastic decision. To fit 120mm fans for the back cover. Check the youtube videos on these mods.

The cooling is normally a problem on these with many users complaining of the black screens and restart one of the videos shows how to mount the fans/vents aft to increase cooling.

I therefore a 2320 Dell with i5 2500K (Non-Dell) quad core CPU, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, 2 TB HDD, DVD burner standard still in use via USB and mounted back cover driving fans cooling the GPU and CPU.

Games played at max settings use to heat the motherboard to 97 degrees with the fan in place, he fell to-22 degrees to 75 c, which means that the machine not only better performance but last much longer due to the additional cooling.

I'm using Core Temp to monitor the temperature and OCCT to the stress test.

  • Dell inspiron one a HDMI input with output usb audio

Hi, I recently bought a dell inspiron one 2330 and some of my blu - ray high-fidelity discs do not work very well at all. :(un peu déçu car c'était la principale raison que je l'ai acheté.)

So I tried my blu - ray player in the HDMI port, but now it only uses the computer speakers not my B & W Zeppelin air via the USB input.

If advice how to fix the blu - ray glitch player that seems to start and stop on most of my records or produce audio output to HDMI input to the USB port would be much appreciated

    Thanks in advance.

Which seems to indicate a problem with your video card. The cooling works may not properly. I would contact Dell on the replacement of it. This may explain the poor video performance.
