User customized the DPM agents
You can configure Cisco digital media players to use a custom user agent?
Background: I would like to create an identity on our proxy server based on the user agent to make it easier for our Digital Signage people place new DMP, our current process is a bit awkward. If they could manually change the user-agent, I'd be able to create a policy that could install them without needing any additions on the proxy server.
Thank you
Chris
As much as I KNOW there is not possible to forge the User-Agent (no configurable option to change this setting on the DPM).
You can use the following URL (the DMP 4400 and DMP4305Gin 'Display URL' field) to discover the use of the DMP Agent user.

Cannot find anything on your error. It is sometimes better to install standalone converter locally on the server that you are trying to convert. Then run the converter locally on your virtual infrastructure.

I use Foglight 5.6.5 and I was wondring where, in the dashboard - we can see the foglight agents associated ip addresses. There are many times we need the ip address of a host, I want to add a custom dashboard if necessary to include this
George, was the question that you asked:
"How can I find the IP addresses of remote hosts being monitored?
or
"How can I find the IP address of the FGLAM server that is monitoring?

ShowDetailFrame-customizing the user get stored at the site level.
We have a show-detail-image in our page. When running it gives the possibility to move up/down etc.
When a non-administrator user moves a section upward, its reflected to all users. When I exported MDS, I found that this customization is get stored at the site level.
Is there a way to define these operations such as level of customization of the user, so that only the user who uses the options get affected?

Hi again.
I was doing a little PoC and you have the following approaches:
- Change of adf - config.xml file to use UserCC instead of SiteCC. Implement your own UserCC based on Andrejus or official documentation to retrieve the name of user of the API.
- If you need both UserCC and SiteCC at the same time you need to implement yourself. You can follow the construction process (spaces).
http://andrejusb.blogspot.co.UK/2011/09/making-it-work-together-MDS-user-and.html
I hope this helps.

How to provide custom information to the user in the InfoBar
In a previous thread (authorization re - data charges Essbase without erasing existing data it has been suggested that it is possible to provide information to the user via the 'information' window. I guess that this refers to the information bar window that appears when performing different tasks in web client FDM?
If so, how you get there? The Administrator's guide is only seems to point to Administration | Web settings, where you can customize the behavior of the information bar. But is it possible to load the message and set the type of message (info, warning, error) from a script of the event?Yes, you can fill a script of the event. There is an accelerator of General utility to "Display the information bar Message".

Hello
I have a server running on a Windows 2008 R2 server DPM 2010
Currently save a mix of virtual and physical machines, these are a mix of Windows Server 2003 SP2, 2008 & 2008 R2.
The DPM was previously a bit crumbly, but it was supposed to be caused by lack of disk space. A QNAP server was introduced and configured as an iSCSI target. After the initial problems, it works now.
EXCEPT
Three volumes of backup not. They were part of the protection group but they had no point of recovery at all. I deleted their protection groups and have tried to add them to their original groups. These 3 volumes all fail with the following error message:
An unexpected error occurred on the DPM server machine during a VSS operation.
Error details: VssError:Shadow copy the specified volume only is not supported. (0x8004230C)
3 volumes are on 3 different servers.
All 3 servers are running Windows 2003 SP2
3 servers have other volumes that are save successfully and consistantly
There are an additional 3 servers Windows 2003 SP2 that all volumes save successfully and consistantly.
I can run shadow copies on these three volumes on servers
All servers run the latest DPM Agents
3 volumes have unused production capacities, Gig instead of Mb
The pool of storage on the DPM server has two disks in the storage pool, the local disk has 10 TB of capacity and 45% free, the iSCSI target has capacity to 55 and 78% free.
There are no. VSS errors in system or application logs (or I've noticed in just about any other log file) on the DPM server or the customer Server
I have tried to add in the protection group, 3 volumes at once, one at a time or a small directory, or create a new protection group and still get the same errors.
I ran the Windows updates on these servers
So far all I can say the disk permissions look OK and match those of the other volumes of work.
I know that having two drives in the storage pool is not ideal, and it will be changed but not up to what I have fixed the problems on the three volumes.
Hello
I suggest you to report this issue in support for Windows Server 2008 R2: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsserver/bb512923
Thank you.

Authenticate users in the other domain Windows
Hello
I'm trying to authenticate users in a different Windows domain. The correct version of the Remote Agent is installed on the domain controller. Director of company "runs" the service.
I discovered that the group nesting is not working in version 3.3.3. Is this correct?
I also have a universal and domain local group. In this group, I put some users in the domain, the trust.
Authentication will not work: error on ACS: external DB account restriction.
Also, I tried to do a group directly mapping in the trusted domain. When I click on 'Add Group Mapping', this is the error: "unable to enumerate windows... groups."
How can I fix these problems?
Thank you
Remco
Hi Remco
Looking at the release notes under known issues in Cisco Secure ACS for Windows Server 3.3
The EAP - TLS authentication to the trusted domain controller failed
Authentication succeeded only when the customer the EAP - TLS to authenticate to the domain controller which connected directly to GBA, but when the user is in the ms trust (only in the ms trust) that linked to the first domain controller, the authentication has failed and has been the message of attempts fail: 'External account DB Restriction'.
Same message is produced if the activation of the field stripping in database settings outside of Windows or not.
Report of failed attempts for statement is not clear enough
When the user validation fails for some reason any (external server is down, the right SSL certificate or key shift with NAS), attempts to csv report failed indicates that the failure of the authentication code is "restriction of account external db" or "CS password invalid.
Workaround: this issue is cosmetic. No work around.
Cordially MJ

Slow response from the DPM Touch Interactive applications
Hello
In our premises of the Subscriber, we deployed a solution we have developed as a tactile interactive application using a 3rd party Content Management System. The content of the application is pushed to the DPM and stored locally. This app is more graphic, and there is no video no is involved. The size of the content is aroun 105MO. We use 3 m touchscreen.
The application is designed so that when the user clicks on tabs, it goes to that specific tab content. The question here is, when the user clicks/keys on the screen of the tab, it takes more time to react, which means it takes longer to access this particular screen. So I'm not sure how reduce response time.
We use Cisco (OEMed) 32 inch screen with a resolution in 1366 x 768 LCD, what is said in the native resolution. We use the HDMI to connect to the DPM on the LCD screen.
Please let me know how to increase the speed of the interactive application.
JK,
The first thing to do is to reduce the question of time 'response' to a
the driver for 3 m touch OR the application itself.
You can use another touch application (1 or more) for a reference
on the response of the tactile response. If all the applications meet
the touch with the same delay so the problem "may" be with the
3 m touch driver and may need some improvement and refinement.
If the other touch applications are faster to respond then your App "Touch".
at issue, the US is facing an application problem.
Is a common symptom seen with performance and custom applications
because developers create applications and workstations with high
fast video cards and processors. Therefore, what is acceptable
performance on the workstation does not to the slower
DMP.
Please indicate the MIB of STATUS output in a text file and
Download it here for review.
Thank you

The NAC Agent running application scan
Ladies and gentlemen,
My client is to be on ISE PoC. They want to test the functionality of Posture to run the application.
I would like to ask: what is the NAC agent scan interval. If I want to use Agent NAC to scan the PC, an illegal demand, but initially, during the connection, the application is not running. After NAC agent notify that it respects the customer, user start this application. The question therefore, Agent NAC detectable by whom?
Kindly share your experience about it. Thank you for your support.
Kind regards
Hiep
Hiep,
The feature you requested is passive revaluation and is made on intervals configured by the administrator.

Parameters for the single instance of DCOM for multiple users on the same machine
I have a DCOM on a Windows 2008 R2, Enterprise Edition machine. I would like to be able to open an instance of the DCOM and have it accessible by multiple users on the same machine, i.e. users connected to Windows accounts.
What settings will do? In the tab 'identity' in dcomconfg for my DCOM object settings, I tried "interactive user", 'the user running' and 'this user', all three lead to the same result: start a new instance DCOM on easch Windows of the connected customer accounts, despite the existence of bodies being already running on other accounts. This baffles me, especially with the third alternative, 'this user', which should certainly lead to all proceedings being started by this specific account? This is not the case. Any help would be appreciated!
This issue is beyond the scope of this site (for consumers) and to be sure, you get the best (and fastest) reply, we have to ask either on Technet (for IT Pro) or MSDN (for developers)* -
CRS 3.0(3a) I need the Office Agent they change automatic status
I use the 3.0(3a) CRS on 3.3 CM (4) on ICS7750.
I have a problem because the CallCenter agent forgot they change their status after the handle a customer called, that's why I need a function of CRS for automatic change of ready state after 20 seconds.
How can I do about it?
To have the agent to be ready, subsystem-> CIM, queues Service Contact, choose the queue and disable automatic working. Click on resources, on the left, and for each agent to be ready right away, change their automatic provision to activate.

Problem of the NAC - Agent is a disconnect
Hello
We have a problem with the NAC in mode virtual outofband.
AD SSO, sanitation, everything is working, but the strange things happening: after awhile, when downloading large files, Agent connects to the formula of network users, and the registration process is restarted.
I disabled the pulsation clocks and timers, session, but we still have a problem.
Also, while sniffing traffic on the switch port, I noticed that after have correctly connected you to the own Cisco Agent network always send traffic to UDP Port 8905. Is this a normal behavior?
I noticed problems with this version of the agent causing connections to give up intermittently. I would upgrade to agent v4.1.3.1.

Detect and block unauthorized devices and users on the network
Hello
At the moment we have Cisco 6509 as a switch to access to our network. Each user has an IP phone and a computer. We will implement 802. 1 X for end users by next month. I need to check any activity of users on the network as if someone plug an access point to the network or router.
I just checked Cisco NAC and I think it will a to help us detect these activities on the network.
I need to get more information about Cisco NAC or other products for this purpose. also, what is the difference between Cisco NAC and application like Microsoft TMG?
Could you please give me more detail on Cisco NAC? It is agent less or I need to install something on computers? It works as a default router for users of computers?
Thank you
Mike
Hello
If you want to implement dot1x Cisco NAC is not the solution because it's not dot1x for cable customers.
Your best bet is to go with Cisco ISE. You don't have to install any software and can choose to use the native windows supplicant.
Thank you
Tarik Admani
