• Image map in html email-text color

  I use image maps in html email newsletter and using the tag alt on some images to give a brief description about what the content of the newsletter covers.

  The question I have is that the text is in blue color. Can I control this and make it black? I tried a few ideas, but the text remains stubbornly blue... grrr!

  It's not worth osgood.  If you really need a text description, type out.  There are too many e-mail clients that make correct tags alt like Gmail, Yahoo Mail, etc.  Just take a look at this Campaign Monitor done research: http://www.campaignmonitor.com/resources/entry/676/how-do-alt-attributes-appear-in-email/ .  But if you really want to change the color of the text on the image alt:

• How can I use images of a single source in the text?

  I use RoboHelp HTML 11, and I want to use images from one of the icons in the text source, so that I can update the source image, if necessary, and all instances of the image are updated automatically. The look is as follows:

  

  I tried extracts, but they force a paragraph return in the text that I don't want.

  I tried to insert the code source of an image in a variable, but when I inserted the variable in the text, I got an error message in the text.

  Is it possible to use variables to do this or another method?

  According to me, inserting an image and selecting where the image is stored would be single-sourcing. Then when you update this image, it is updated throughout.

• RoboHelp HTML Template Header borders

  Dear all,

  I'm keeping a RoboHelp HTML project for a few years and now I'll have to create a new.

  I have created a template and you want to use my banner of companies across the top. in the header with the title of the page.

  It's fine except I can't get the border around the header go, that means that I don't get a header full picturial than I like.

  Using RoboHelp HTML version 7 with all updates current.

  Can anyone help or am I stuck with it?

  You should try to apply differently.

  First, undo what you've done.

  Now, if you are editing a topic, click Format > Styles.

  Expand the other category and choose background + text (BODY).

  Click on the Format, followed by the border and shading button.

  Click the Shading tab.

  Configure the image here.

• Cannot generate the main provision in RoboHelp HTML X 5

  Several years ago, I had created a project using RoboInfo Publisher 5.  It's a fairly broad knowledge base with several folders, themes and a decent index.  When I switched computers recently I have tried to reinstall RoboInfo 5, to see that I could not activate it.  When I called Adobe support, it gave me an installer for RoboHelp X 5 as RoboInfo was is no longer supported.

  Now, when you try to update my existing project to RoboHelp HTML X 5, I find the menu selection to generate primary layout page is grayed out.  I can create a new project and publish it without problem, but I can't get my existing to publish.  After some research, I deleted the CPD file and reopen the project.  The first time I open it, after that the index is re-created, I can select in the menu generate main layout, but nothing comes.  If I close and reopen the app, the menu selection is grayed out again.

  Any thoughts?

  If you right click on the pseudo-dossier of single Source Layouts, you should see an option to create a new page layout.

• RoboHelp HTML Version 11 and RoboHelp HTML to 2015 - why SEARCH has stopped working

  Have a Robo HTML V11 existing project that has generated hundreds of times successfully. Updated for Robo 2015, copied all project files in a new folder.

  1. Convert the copied project of Robo2015
  2. Generated WebHelp and copied to the server
  3. Continually receive error message when you try to use the SEARCH.
     Receive the following error messages:
     
     Then
     
  4. Cannot clear the error or reset the SEARCH.

  Reinstalled Robo HTML V11

  The original project folder has been opened in RoboHelp HTML V11 and now this project, when generated, no more a work of RESEARCH.

  Tried to delete the whxdata folder in the hope that will regenerate recreate properly, obviously did not work.

  Can someone shed light on this situation and provide a solution. I have updated the online help for the application, but may not post an online help system that doesn't have a SEARCH function works

  When I generate output files using RoboHelp HTML 10 printed Documentation, the pages on the screen containing code for all items on all pages. When I print the document, the code has disappeared. Anyone know how I can't view the code on the screen?

  Please do not take into account. I chose to show hidden text in MS Word and when I disabled the check box, the strange code on the screen disappeared.

• RoboHelp HTML Version 11: Where can I find the version of RoboEngine which comes with 11 HR?

  I ask this question because the guide using RoboHelp HTML 11 said that the new context-sensitive Help API is only supported with RoboHelp Server or RoboEngine 3.0 or later version.

  Since we are considering deployment of WebHelp and WebHelp Pro to a web server hosted by company (instead of to RoboHelp Server), we want to assure you that we can use the CSH API to call the CSH subjects.

  You need not RoboEngine (former name of the HR server?) You can simply put your files on any hosted platform and use the context-sensitive help api.

  Are what API you referring? You can still use sensitive context help, whether you use additional products.

• Editing outside of Robohelp HTML source code

  If I had to change my RoboHelp outside RoboHelp HTML source files, recommend the community? Notepad? WordPad? Word? If you want to know why, my boss won't pay for another license for RoboHelp.

  To save $30 a month for a subscription!

  Notepad or any text editor is very well. No doubt you then copy files to a machine with HR to update the output and research etc. Do not use Wordpad or Word.

• Trial of Illustrator CC does not let me use Image path?

  I recently downloaded the demo of Illustrator CC for my Macbook pro update and eventually found that it won't let me use image trace or even pull up to the tracing control panels... I can pull up the area of follow-up work, but if I try to click 'trace image' nothing happens and if I try to open the presets dropdown, even when nothing happens... The title of the principal in the drop-down menus, track of the image or a form any tracing is not found...

  If the tracking is not included in the trial and I just did not get the memo or something wrong?

  You can start on the following and we hope that you will get only the easier until it works, or someone comes up with something better.

  Here is a general list of things you can try when the question is not in a specific file (you tried/made some of them already). 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically may be corrupted preferences):

  (1) close Illy and open again.

  (2) restart the computer (you can do that up to 3 times);

  (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

  4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);

  5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

  Even worse, you can:

  (6) uninstall, run the vacuum cleaner tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and then reinstall.

  Try to use the tool Help What's this composer in the Tools tab, if you use the HR for the Word application. If you use the HR HTML, depends on your type of output.

• Using WebEngine + WebView rich HTML control?

  Someone has already tried using WebEngine/WebView to create (static) content, which can combine text with images?
  
  What I would like is a control capable of reflow where I can put in text style (different styles, sizes, fonts) and some pictures go hand in hand and that the text nicely reflow around the images. Since HTML has been able to do this for centuries, and since I donot think that even a new RichText control will be able to mix images and text (and certainly not to offer all other features in HTML, such as tables, etc...), I think the Web view could fill this gap.
  
  Get the page HTML itself inside the control is easy, using the loadContent methods... but what about pictures? I would need some kind of hook to provide Images directly (from a database or memory, no intermediate download URL step) for the WebEngine, but it seems not to be.
  
  I guess I could put up a local Web server and point my "img src" tags to get what I want, but there may be an easier way?

  I've been kicking around the idea of pair components WebView/WebEngine with an http server embedded in my application. I saw something as the pier. It is probably overkill for your application.

  Since you mention only static images residing in a database, I think that you can embed the image directly in the HTML code as an object of data with the appropriate mime type.

  Is this possible when inserting html in Muse, to have images in the html text? If we use Adobe Catalyst, what should I do to properly encode images in the text?

  You can use the tag between the text. More information on: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_img.asp

  Instead of the path to the Image, use "/ Assets/Filename.extension" (replace NomFichier.extension with the name of the image file).

  After that use file > add files for download and select the image so that it gets added to the assets folder when you publish the site.

  You will not be able to preview, but you can use the file > export to HTML and view the whole site exported to a local folder.

  Greetings, RH9 assessment to decide whether this is a useful purchase and I am feel very difficult to get up and running.

  After this long introduction, are the two questions for today: is there a place where a legend of icons?

  I have question marks on topics (to create a project, import a Word doc), and have no idea what they represent and what should I do to standardize the headings to be without these polling points.

  Also, yesterday tried to import an HTML document with lots of sections DIV (11 pages) and no subjects have been created in RoboHelp HTML. What would be the correct way to import it so that each DIV is a separate topic?

• Generation of hlp files in RoboHelp HTML

  Is it possible to generate RoboHelp HTML version 9 .hlp files? We will generate help for a program files more former that uses only .hlp or .chm files. I've been able to generate RoboHelp for Word .hlp files, and I really don't won't use it. But I was not able to generate RoboHelp HTML .hlp files.

  From what I remember reading here, the .hlp files cannot be created in the HR for the version of Word.
