V3 - 722G several BSOD after return to Acer repair
Hello guys,.
Short version:
I'll be back just my laptop ACER repair center and I just did a complete reinstall of windows 8 with my USB stick recovery. I spend about 15 to 30 seconds in the home screen accepting the agreement, computer name, etc., and the computer restarts with a BSOD. I've seen 2 different BSOD so far:
DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION
UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (nvlddmkm.sys)
I really want to avoid sending this laptop to a 2nd repair, any ideas?
Long version:
I sent my laptop in for repair 2-3 weeks after the purchase when I noticed the 750 M from NVIDIA had stopped working a FAILURE of TDR video associate and I could no longer access NVIDIA settings. The computer was essentially back to entirely using integrated graphics card intel (and it was very obvious of games with epic FPS loss). I've tried every driver wipes, reinstalls, different versions, spyware scans, analyses anti-virus, OS repairs, even tried wiping the computer clean with my recovery USB and reset the laptop back to finish on the default values of the box. No luck, so I sent it to Acer repair center and they supposedly don't set.
Well a month later, when I get it back, I turn it on and everything seems to work fine, so I'm going to update NVIDIA drivers to the latest version and Ottoman. Computer BSOD over and over. Tried to go back to older drivers and other versions with no luck. I finally gave up and AGAIN completely erased and restarted my computer from scratch using my USB recovery. But this time, I can't get past the screen of welcome/configuration windows 8 without it BSOD'ing with the above mentioned messages. I tried to reset/wipe the computer AGAIN, I have tried refreshing, I tried running and disabling driver verification command line. I tried to start windows with a low resolution. I tried to boot into safe mode (cannot do installation in safe mode). I tried to disable driver signature checking. I tried over and over to auto repair. I tried to isolate / removal / replacement of the RAM. Heck, I even tried removing the WLAN card. I'm out of ideas. I was Googling for hours trying to find similar problems and have not met many solutions where people are stuck on the welcome/configuration with BSOD screen.
The worst part is that I wrote on the box, I sent to the repair center I troubleshoot-performed and concluded that a video card failure or breakdown. When they sent the laptop to me, the video card is not replaced. In fact, no hardware has been replaced. I would be not sent the laptop in a repair center after hours of troubleshooting if I didn't think it was a hardware problem. The real diagnosis on my repair slip read: 'enabled Intel graphics. All video past card tests. "Oh really? Graphics card intel enabled? I don't want graphic card intel, I want my paid for NVIDIA GRAPHICS! You're killing me, Acer.
This is my first purchase from Acer and I'm banging my head on the walls. I'd like some suggestions.

Hi simplifies
I'm sorry to hear about the problems you've had, but I think that the only solution is to speak to press again for a 2nd repair.

Several bsod after clean windows 7 installed
Hi everyone, I was hoping to find a solution to the crashes in my computer, still, I was not very successful.
I changed my cpu and ram, motherboard after getting several bsod, especially whenever I tried to use the internet, but it seems to change my material wasn't the answer. I have a clean install of windows 7 Ultimate edition, and the problem will still...My physical characteristics are: Intel core i3-4330 cpu, 4 GB of RAM, nvidia geforce 250 gts and my motherboard is a MSI H81M - E33 V2.The bsod I get is: Page_Fault_in_non_paged_area; Kernel_mode_exception; Bugcode_usb_driver; Irql_not_less_or_equal; Bad_pool_headerand someone without description, it only shows numbers. If someone is willing to help me I would be very grateful.BTW, I noticed there are some older drivers such as the driver Atheros WiFi dated dated 2007 which
should be updated as I mentioned above.Drivers Atheros WiFi.

Note the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing
that MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT it
will update the driver stack.Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard

REBOOT after each installation.Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you are

---------I tried; disconnect all usb drives, updating the drivers of Intel 82801FB/FMB, update drivers from Nvidia 9800GT chipset, disable the write cache on the SATA drive, update the network drivers.
System works perfectly otherwise. Its own BSOD during the return of the mode standby.
I solved this problem just: my setup had 2 cd discs using the primary IDE channel and a Sata drive on the 2nd Sata channel.
I bought the computer used and it was how it has been implemented (and it worked fine in this config without using sleep).
It turns out that the HD (with the top OS) must be connected on the first channel of Sata (Sata (0) on my Dell) so he can wake up correctly the mode standby.
I just disconnected the Sata round cable and moved to first, then changed the BIOS to reflect this change, and everything's fine. -
Several BSOD and wifi disconnects
I own an acer aspire E1 - 570
Specifications:-Intel i3-3217U(1.8Ghz, 3MB L3 cache)
4 GB of ram DDR3, 500 GB HDD. Graphics Intel hd 4000. Windows 8
It is almost 2 years old laptop everything worked and the laptop is not repaired as a result of any problem. 2 portable weeks ago freezes a bit and the wireless adapter has disappeared suddenly. I used windows 8.1 right here
Since that day I am faced several BSOD with different errors for example whea of incorrigible error, memory management to name a few, because I remember not all of them like every day, I see a new BSOD about 2 - 3 times a day. I tried all the simple, suggestion, troubleshooting advice literally all update the driver to install a copy of glass clean but wireless problem is unresolved and BSOD comes again.
After all that I did including my laptop and my laptop fan, the ram and the wireless card, that the problem got
resolved for a day, but again once she returned.
The current scenario is that now wifi disappears it shows connected but frequently shows limited conmection and is practically unusable because every minute I disconnect and reconnect to use it. And this morning, it worked well or a time and again started to do the same things. Sometimes it doesn't find any network and say no networks detected and reconnects automatically after a certain time.
Also today new problem appeared. It freezes and is a hum coming from the speaker for a minute and it starts to work again and he has also restarted once during this freeze moments.
Problems remain in windows 8 and windows 8.1.
Convenience store usually shows problem with wireless adapter or acess point and connect it again, but the next minute the same thing repeats, with limted connection wireless network.
Please if someone can help out me. Thanks in advance.
Hi Aditya,
Thank you for the update.
You should not have to reinstall Windows. However, if SFC displays corrupted files and failed to remedy, I suggest you run the DISM tool and check.
Refer to this article:
Difficulty of Windows Update errors by using the DISM tool / System Update Readiness
https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/947821It allows to correct certain errors of corruption of Windows.
Please keep us informed.

Hello
Do you get the BSOD during the BIOS update procedure?
Are you using the Windows operating system preinstalled Toshiba? or did you install your own system? If you have installed your system, then you should check that the VAP is installed as well.
Also, I found this info about the update to the BIOS:
+ Attention! +
+ Please close all applications before running the update. +
+ At the end of this process, the computer will be restarted in order to update the EC. +

BSOD after installing the update of Norton on HPg7
Laptop has been random and very frequent BSOD after an automatic update of Norton. Tried everything but that remove Norton stopped the problem. Deleted Norton several months ago without even a recurrence of the problem therefore reasonably certain that the cause was the Norton. Myy question is what anti-virus program is known to work reliably on HP g7? Currently to have not installed because I don't know wht will run.
Hello
Fewer hogging resources & a pretty decent anti-virus software which can only be invoked:
Windows 7 & Vista: http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/microsoft-security-essentials.aspxWindows 8: http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/windows-defender.aspx

My laptop has sometimes bsod after updating!
I have a laptop HP running windows 8 32-bit! I don't know who it is! It started about a week after I got it! I kept getting bsod after updating. My brother recommended I have download ccleaner which got rid of bsod for about 2 months. I think that burning causing the bsod has some images of memory. Recently updated. I have ccleaned but no memory dumps were found. I thought that windows had finally corrected this bug. I used my laptop for a day! And then all of a sudden the BSODs happened. I did not worth it to go back on my PC. Please can someone help me!
Hey Mohindra3
Looks like you have a problem with persistent blue screens. It would help to know which model you have.
If you need help with this information, you can follow this link.
It would also be useful to know if you upgraded to Windows 8 32-bit.
Another step, you can try running a diagnostic test on your hard disk and RAM. Follow this link for steps on it.
Blue screens can sometimes be caused by damaged or incompatible drivers. The hard drive and RAM diagnostic tests will help refine the question though.
You could also provide with the minidump file that will give me a lot of information. You can navigate to C:\Windows\minidump. You will need to download the newest .dmp file to a third party site, (such as sendspace.com or filedump.com or another site like those) given that the HP forums do not allow this type of downloading files. Just to provide me with a link to the site whatever you choose so that I can take a look at the .dmp file.
I hope these steps help! I'll keep an eye out for your answer.

I get BSOD after Bios flash, can connect in safe mode.
Hi all
I use a laptop HP DV3145 DX, OS is win 7 Home Basic (it came with the laptop).
A few days ago my screen started to behave erratically. The lower part of the screen is blurred and was unreadable. So I have updated Bios with the HP support assistant.
After I flashed the bios, I could connect to windows, but every time I log on to the windows it crashed (BSOD) after 30 to 60 seconds.
I could connect to the computer in safe mode
That's what I did
1. connected in safe mode and disabled all startup program (used Msconfig), with the exception of microsoft. This did not help.
2 activated the player HP_tools disk management and I see the Bios, Bios_new file is there.
Now, what should be my next step? I want to factory reset as my last option, I have a lot of settings, digital certificates, backups of phone in this machine, those who are important to my work.
I think to Flash the Bios to the previous version to see if that helps. Now, I don't consider myself a very experienced user. So if anyone can tell me how to Flash the bios to the older version, I'll be grateful.
I would also like to hear any other suggestions, others may have.
* PS: I can't update windows drivers (I've updated about a month ago), because the 3 G dongle that I use is not having recognized in safe mode.

You should not have flashed the BIOS. Updating the BIOS is not a magic solution to all the problems. You must perform as the first response to a problem with your laptop because it adds an element of risk.
You should use the diagnoses instead. Press the power button and immediately press the ESC key. In the start menu, choose to press the F2 key to invoke diagnostics. Perform a system test, a test of memory, a hard drive test and a test video. Let us know what are the results of the diagnostic test. The image is a more recent version that is installed on the hard drive of your laptop, but is still pretty similar.

Several times after that I opened Google it does not connect to the internet. Has worked for a long time, and now it will not. Sometimes it opens if you "Refresh" sometimes not. Help, please. It has been stable over the years and now it will not work. I get no help when I diagnoise of problems, but I never. It has been checked and rechecked. PitStop does not even recognize a problem. I could change the homepage, but I prefer to use Google if it works. Frustrating.
You may need to update your toolbar, google has made some changes just about everything and possibly that the page is not where it used to be.

disable the window maximize AFTER return to windows windows 7 fron 10
I recently returned to windows 7 (time to go to windows 10 months) and since then I can not turn off to maximize windows. I disabled the "prevent windows" option in the ease of use of the mouse and keyboard with the combinations to have an on and off.
Can you help me please turn this feature off, no offense to anyone, but I really hate it.
Thank you
Deb.
Hello Deb,.
Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.
By the description, you like to deactivate windows optimize desktop.
As the question arose after return to windows 7 there is a possibility that the display driver may got corrupted. You have already made linear troubleshooting to solve the problem. I suggest to update the graphics card and check.
Make sure that your display driver is up-to-date. Then follow the steps below.
1. press on the Windows key + R to open Run
2 type devmgmt.msc in run and press on Enter.
3. expand display adapter.
4. right click on the device and select Update driver softwareYou also try to
Update a hardware driver that is not working properly.

Several questions after restart explorer.exe
I have several questions after I ended the process explorer.exe and reopened. "Ctrl + Alt + Delete" only opens the Task Manager (and neither do "Ctrl + Shift + Esc"), the level of the battery is displayed on my taskbar, my wallpaper mysteriously changed, etc.
What happened in detail was:
My taskbar was hidden behind a window I had open. For example, if I open the Chrome, Chrome window cover at the bottom of my screen, with the taskbar behind it. The taskbar was NOT to hide and minimize. So, I took the advice to restart my explorer.exe. However this is not going smoothly. I couldn't bring up the task in any Manager. I could not even restart my computer. The only thing I could do was click on the space bar, which makes "click on" my browser Chrome which was open at the time. This allowed me to open a task manager with control of Chrome ONLY. Chrome, I've navigated to C:/.../explorer.exe and double clicked on it. I got my taskbar and the office back, although very distorted. Now, there are still a lot of questions I need to recover from. I think it might be a problem starting some .exe that could somehow have disabled. I would be happy to provide any additional information.
This is a safe operation restart explorer.exe. Your catalogue of failures suggest that you have some fundamendal problems. I would like to use the system restore to go as far as I could. If that fails to solve the problems, then I'd go for a destructive factory restore.
