V5 - 573G noisy right blower

Hi all

I bought a laptop Acer V5 - 573G 10 days ago and since buying the right of cooling fan is a constant hum/subtle grinding noise. The noise is not too loud, however, it is much louder than the fan on the left. I was hoping that the noise would leave if given some time, but he persists

Is this a known problem that can be solved at home (lubricate the fan or re - placing it on the drive shaft, maybe?), or do I have to send the laptop for repairs?

I look forward to your advice

If you feel that the noise is excessive or not normal, I would contact Acer for repair. If it seems a bit much, it may not be a hardware problem. You can always go to a store and try one of their display models to see if it has the same sound.

  • Satellite U400-15B - noisy fan after Toshiba WIndows 7 upgrade

    Hello world

    Question 1:
Last week, I got my Windows 7 Upgrade DVD from Toshiba. I'm leaving has upgrade and after 5 hours, the upgrade was complete. I have encountered a problem that the automated driver installed on the endgame wrong on the update of the BIOS because it is trying to write the backup file of the BIOS on the DVD. After a lot of pressure on the keys, I managed to get the installation to carry and then did the BIOS manually updated later. This succeeded and it updated to V4.80.

Since the update of the BIOS, the fan noise is much stronger. I noticed it's from the fan that is to the right of the envelope, I guess it is the CPU fan. The fan that blows air on the left side of aeration wors as usual. Any suggestions? Should I get the BIOS, if so, how can I restore from the file BIOS.bak WinPHlash is?

    Question 2:
The Upgrade of Windows 7 Toshiba DVD, I am able to do a new install of Windows 7, IE not need to upgrade to Vista?

    Question 3:
On the upgrade DVD Toshiab is automatically installs the drivers required after the upgrade to WIndows 7. He had 22 things to do on my own. Does anyone know how to get the list of the required drivers for this laptop that the upgrade DVD refers to?

Thank you very much for your time in reading this.

Have you tried to change method parameters in Toshiba's energy-saving cooling?
    Change it to optimized battery.
It has reduced the activity of fan on my A300.

You can find it in the advanced power settings.

  • Noisy fan Portégé Z30-B-117

    Hello

I have a problem with my new laptop Portege Z30-B-117,
He really noisy fan, I was forced to use battery saving mode, without which I can't work on this machine.

The fan speed is absurdly designed.
There are a lot more speed, even when it does not heat.

Please make a new bios with the smart fan speed, then it will be the best phone on the market!

    Thanks in advance.

Sometimes the fan activity would increase where the processor is loaded by some background process.
I've had the laptop from another manufacturer and the fan speed was high due process that runs in the background. From time to time the process has locked the CPU (up to 80%-90% of CPU usage) and during this time, the speed of the fan was very high.

I spend a lot of time to learn about this process, and finally, I discovered that my antivirus software (it was Norton) the CPU load. I switched to Avira and Avast and this question doesn't seem anymore.

However, I guess that the CPU could be occupied as a result of any background process

By the way: you're right: BIOS contains fan table and this table fan gives indications how to control cooling modules. But the fan activity depends not only on the BIOS as I said above: background as well as the CPU processes affect the speed of the fan.

  • Camileo SX900 photo very noisy

    Hello

    I just buyed a SX900 camcorder.

All right, next to the fact of the camera specifications seems very noisy even in daylight on a room lit not so high...

I'we used both level ISO Auto or manual (like 800) with or without LED activated.

Is it normal? I want to say I am very disappointed by that, because I took the camera for most due to fact was "announced" as works very well even in low light environments...

    Hello

    I think it's normal.

I have another camcorder to another manufacturer and the quality of the image is lower when the lighting conditions are not so good
But the image quality is very good in daylight.

  • Satellite U840W-10J - noisy fan and the version of the bios

    Hello

    more top of the machine when you run tempro said new version of bios is available, the link to it is [Satellite U840W BIOS 6, 40 - WIN | http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_driver_details.jsp?service=EU&selCategory = 2 & selFamily = 2 & selSeries = 198 & selProduct = 7570 & selSh ortMod = null & language = 13 & selOS = 40 & selType = 4 & yearupl = DST & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = all Machines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = all & selectedLanguage = 13 & type = 4 & page = 1 & ID = 84640 & DISO =-1 & driverLanguage = 42]

But when I go to the bios, it says the version of bios is already 6.4 - which is strange since the release of this version of the bios date is 10/07/13. And I don't know that I don't have day of the bios for this version this month :)

Why does say new version is available?
Would be - that there's a newer version available, that only that it binds to an evil?
Even if I download and try to install it, it says that this version of the rom is the same.

Second question is noisy fan, most of the time is at very high speed (and because of the odd design, when the laptop is open, screen - which becomes really hot fan).
Since no other laptop I used make these noises, if I really need to update for the bios? But which version?

Health Monitor shows the 77% fan speed - and I'm not playing games or whatever it is, cpu is always below 10%, I m doing nothing, just a light browsing can turn up to such percentage. What I've noticed, is that it becomes this top still when HARD drive this is - like application installation, download updates, etc... I have download the latest drivers intel to drive HARD, all drivers are more recent. Or is it only noisy due to bad design (fan blowing on screen), and I can use it for heavy work and just have to ignore the noise of the fan?

Last updated driver to trackpad kills finger double scroll btw, so, maybe you guys could solve the problem too? Since I had to go back to the old version.

BTW, the machine is only two days old

I think that you should not be confused on BIOS. Maybe there is a problem with Tempro. This process runs automatically and it is possible that there is a technical problem. If you have latest BIOS is OK so Don t you worry about this. Just continue to use your laptop and don t change anything.

What about cooling fan? Cooling fan is controlled automatically and according to the temperature CPU cooling fan works more rapid or slower. When you play the games you need more performance, so use leverage plan high performance. For each day of activities, use the balanced power plan. It will reduce the CPU usage, but it will be good enough for low level activities. What you can try is to change the options for the method of cooling. You can find it in the advanced power options. It should reduce fan cooling and portable activity should run quietly.

    Play around with these options.

  • Satellite 1670 very hot and noisy problem

I borrowed a 1670 that I need for my exam in 9 days...
The problem is that he had problems of heat in his younger years (apperently not directly a problem for the cpu, but the substance was so hot you couldn't sit with him on the knees)
someone were volt-modded or something to get a fan for the air flow more...

is it possible for me to put it back to normal, so it is not so noisy.

    Anders

    Hello

I don't know exactly how old is this model of Satellite, but I guess that the reason may be dust. If there is no possibility is trying to blow out the dust and clean. I am sure that on this way the unit will get more air and it will be much better.

  • Noisy fan on Qosmio F20

My Qosmio F20 is very noisy. The fan turns on and off constantly. The PC feels warm in the lower left hand side. That's how it should be, or can I do about it?

    Thank you

    O

    Hello!

You can try to clean the air conditioner.
Use the jet of compressed air or something else and could blow the dust from the cooling fans. It s not necessary to disassemble anything.

The one who follows you can try is an update of the BIOS. Consult the Toshiba driver download site:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online downloads support & -online update of the BIOS

  • Satellite A300 - after several months, it became noisy

    Hi all!

I have a problem with my Satellite A300. The cooling fan is not functioning effectively. The fan runs almost constantly, even if the PC in standby, when I do nothing on computer.
I cleaned the fan holes and ventilate the air, so it is very clean. I checked the cooling modules in the Toshiba Power Saver, as well as in the ATI PowerPlay.
    All settings are OK...

The question is, why my Toshiba works fine, when I just bought it, but after several months, it has become a noisy machine? It was very very portable and fan worked perfectly...

Thanks a lot for your help!

    Hello!

In your case I would use compressed air jet on the underside and on the left side of the laptop to make sure that blow you the dust from the cooling fans.

After cleaning your laptop, you should look into the Vista power management. Here you can change the cooling method and choose another option, for example optimized battery.

Maximum cooling performance method means that your CPU can run on the highest speed and so it needs more cooling.

    Good bye

  • Aspire V5 - 573G making light and constant rattle

    Hey there guys and girls,

I just got my new Aspire V5 - 573G yesterday and it's all just great. There is just one little thing that bothers me, it's the sound of the fan on the right side. It's a slight constant close rattle or purr every time that fans are beginning to breathe a little and many people have reported this problem too, by the looks of it.

Which makes me wonder; would it be worth trying to repair or replace, or is it a problem that almost ALL V5 - 573G?

    See you soon,.

    CP

    > would it be worth trying to repair or replace >

If she was mine, brand new with a warranty of 1 year, no, not yet anyway. Test drive it for a few weeks. You might find other problems - or maybe not, or maybe his rattle and purr will get worse, better or remain the same.

  • Acer Aspire v5 573g compatible hardware

I've had this laptop in 2014 and he gave me hell at first, then it worked, then during the transition to the w10, he gave more hell. Fast forward to 2016, I your desktop appropriate because frankly I couldn't count on the laptop more curiously it is performed without a hitch for a while now.

Anyway, I opened it and turned on the HDD (1 TB WD slim) for one SSD, and I thought of switching on the stick of ram to 4 GB for a 8 GB one and maybe the Ondaaah (AR5BWB222) for an Intel (Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 HMC Rev.2) one.

My question is this, can I replace the RAM for any PC12800/1600 MHz SO-DIMM DDR3L CL11 1, 35v stick? or should it be acer approved those? (which seem to be significantly more expensive).

Is there a list of hardware compatible with the laptop? I want to give it a new life, if possible. Anyway, thanks in advance!

    Hi calbruc,

Aspire V5 - 573G has only a single memory and 4 GB soldered on the motherboard. Speccy shows probably these 4 GB as a free slot. You should check with CPU-Z version zipped (without installation). It will give you the right result: 8 + 4 and no free slot.

    Thank you

Yes, there are a lot of review with a different material.

You can use Belarc to check what type of hardware version you have, so it won't be easy to find the correct drivers:

I have 4 of these computers and 3 of them I can slide from the center of the screen to get to the charms.  Another one I have to loose from the top to the right toward the Center to get the charms to show.  When I drag from the center of the right a blue selct type area emerges.  Is there a setting to change this?  It is very annoying. the blow on the left works fine.

    Thank you

Yes, the calibration of the touch screen is in "Tablet PC Settings" in the control panel. You can always return to default if your calibration is worse too.

  • e7240 CONSTANT NOISE OF FAN NOISY / FAN RUNNING ALL THE TIME

We received 2 nine E7240s directly from Dell, one for me and one for my colleague. As soon as I turned it on to build for my colleague, I noticed that the machine was overheating and the fan made a noise. Dell offers an upgrade of the BIOS that has not changed anything. They then changed the radiator, even once, that does not change and since then, they have changed the motherboard. My colleague went on vacation, so I don't know if the problem has been resolved, however, my laptop day you do not overheat (also of course as it has done for my colleague) BUT THE FAN RUNS ALL THE TIME. So much so that I think that the person in the room upstairs is using his hairdryer. Dell has replaced the heatsink of heat and the motherboard yesterday, I did the same update of the BIOS and the problem is even worse. As soon as I turn the thing, the fan runs all the time making a big noise. My predecessor was the E6500 and I was not bothered by noises, he did.

The 7240 made so much noise that I want to throw it out the window , seriously, I go back to my old 5 years e6500, which is now very slow, I can not just take constant hair dryer of the fan noise! I'm waiting for Dell back to me, but I don't see what else they can do.

I suspect a problem of design with newer models, someone with a laptop computer Latitude 13 also mentioned it on the Forum, someone else with an e7240 also said "I noticed the fan turns most of the time - it's quiet, but you don't know is spinning."  I just implemented, so the CPU is busy enough. "A person with the e6320 says"and the fan is noisy and turns far too often.

I just bought a new Dell Latitude E7240 with Windows 7 laptop and had the same problem with overheating and the fan is running loudly all the time. I just fixed it on my laptop, it may not work for everyone but just in case I walked it here.

The index for me was that the question has happened at home, not at work.

    • Using the Task Manager, I found that a "svchost.exe" process was always running at 25% of the CPU, i.e. to take 100% of one of the 4 hearts. For this you need view all processes, and that's why you need a local administrator account if she asks permission.
    • With right click on this process-online 'Go to services', you can study what services are hosted by this instance of svchost.
    • For each of these services, try to stop one at a time (if it helps) and see if the CPU usage goes down. For me, a clue was a service stuck on 'Stop' but never stopped.
    • The service which for me was the "HomeGroup provider." That's why the issue has happened at home and at work. The laptop had spotted my homegroup on my home network, but had not been able to accede. Maybe a problem with IPv6 that I could not turn on my desk.
    • In the Services tab in Task Manager, get on the service properties, which set to Disabled Startup Type.
    • Restart the laptop, to ensure that the service is stopped.

That did the trick for me, and now the CPU remains less than 5% when idle. This isn't the problem that the fan is noisy when the CPU usage is high, but for me what rarely happens now.

If you want to access files and printers on your home network without the homegroup feature, you can still do that the old way:

    • Network and sharing Center-Online avancΘs => Homegroup Connection-online 'use user accounts to connect to other computers.
    • Also in the settings advanced: enable discovery network. and Turn on File and Printer Sharing.
    • Then, you can click on your wifi network => add a printer.
    • If your office does not appear, click on "Not listed", then browse. As long as the network discovery and printer sharing are enabled, desktop PC should appear and you can connect using your local Windows user name and password.

    Hope this helps someone.
