  • Error 2738 could not access VBScript Runtime for custom action

Well, I have the same problem error 2738 could not access VBScript run time for action custom when I try to install incredimail I just do a restore to factory in the last 2 days I do not even have all yet loaded things back and I came across this problem so here is my contact information and what I tried already :

I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium Service pack 2 32 bit
I use Mcafee and installed and after reading just down to you ensure that I uninstalled and ran the cleaner program suggested and she has still not work, I reinstalled and not yet did not work so I've currently uninstalled again and the vacuum again 3 times
I ran all the advice from the command prompt still does not work
I tried to delete the registry entry suggested HKCU\SOFTWARE \Classes\CLSID\{B54F3741-5B07-11CF-A4B0-00AA004A55E8}, but he's not here to remove
I ran this command suggested reg delete "HKCU\SOFTWARE\Classes\Wow6432Node\CLSID\ {B54F3741-5B07-11CF-A4B0-00AA004A55E8} and I think that maybe it wasn't a good idea but may not know whether it was or not.
Then I read in this thread on Mcafee to a registry entry and redirecting somewhere it should not so I went to look at and that's what I found:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\ {B54F3741-5B07-11cf-A4B0-00AA004A55E8} \InprocServer32 - default REGSZ C:\Program Files\Fichiers Files\McAfee\SystemCore\ScriptSn.20110417221023.dll
and no I have not yet reinstalled McAfee and ran to the 3 times vacuum why is there always a register McAfee entry I followed the path C:\Program Files\Common Files\McAfee\SystemCore\ScriptSn.20110417221023.dll and guess what it's not exist, and yes I looked into the hidden files I even ran a search in all files and it is not anywhere
I had already run the sfc/scannow once before I deleted the McAfee and it found corrupted files, but said they have been fixed as well, I ran again just to check and this time no errors
HELP, I am at a loss of what to next in addition to another factory restore which I really really DON'T want to because I have an I had my computer since February 2007 as well as the amount of updates to Vista I need to do well is all together besides the Service Pack 1 and 2 there are more than 300 reviews have even not looked optional and yet if pardon my language is a pain in one @.
    Please can someone HELP!

    Whoo Hoo!

Someone told me how to change the permissions on the registry key and DUH! I knew how to do this, so I changed the and then changed the key to C:\Program Files\Common Files\McAfee\SystemCore\ScriptSn.20110417221023.dll TO C:\\Windows\\system32\\vbscript.dll
Restarted checked and then ran the installation for incredimail and IT WORKED!
Thank God I've been playing with this for 2 days I really doesn't want to have to do another restore of factory which is what I was about to
  • How to re-install the host of VBscript for Vista?

I am running Vista Ultimate. I am trying to download a driver that supports this video stream to my TV material. When I try to download the driver, I get an error message saying the following: "VBScript engine is disabled so Setup cannot continue." Please enable VBScript engine before installation. I tried to correct the problem by recording "regsvr32 vbscript.dll" in command prompt, after which it is said that I managed, but I get the same error message when I try again to download the driver for my new hardware. The guys from support for the product, the driver is for, have suggested, I have re - install the Windows Scripting host from Microsoft Download center, but there is no product, I can find called 'Windows Scripting Host' or 'VBscript Host. " Nobody knows what the exact name of the thing, I should download to install again the host for VBscript?

Thanks to everone who responded; the problem ended up being old pieces of McAfee always LURKING in my system, but I thought that he had been removed for a long time as I now use Norton. Unfortunately, the reason for which I tried to download the driver should first use my new HD Stream Warpia hardware that broadcasts wireless video and audio to my TV but a USB port on my PC and a HDMI port on my TV. The initial problem was that I couldn't get my PC to recognize my TV as an external monitor, or extend my desktop or my monitor in mirror. After finally being able to download the driver (whose Warpia support thought would solve my problem), I was disappointed to see that my PC still will not recognize my TV as an external monitor. I know that the material is good, and I know that I everything connected correctly because I was able to get the arrangement to work by simply follows a laptop running XP to my desktop PC runs Vista (which is the machine that did not work in this setting. I hooked in the past my office to another TV with a VGA connection, so I know that I do what I'm supposed to do in relation to connectivity. I'll post this question now, but if someone bed this has suggestions I'd love to hear ' em -.

    Dear all.

I downloaded the update to Android 2.2 Froyo on motorola Web site. When I run the exe, I get a message, can't find Script engine "VBScript" for Script alongwith the path of the file. Rgds,

    Sachin.

    Hello

1 did you change on your computer before this problem?

2 are you able to install any other software on your computer?

This occurs if the filevbscript.dll runtime script is not properly registered in the system, I would say you follow these steps and see if it works very well.

    Method 1

Try to install the program in high mode.

    (a) right click the program.

    (b) select run as administrator.

    Method 2
    a. click the Start button, type cmd. In the result of the research with the right button on cmd and select run as administrator.
    b. type cd %windir%\system 32 (Note: there is a space between the system and 32) and press ENTER.
    c. type regsvr32 vbscript.dll in the command prompt, and then press ENTER.
    d. type regsvr32 jscript.dll in command prompt, and then press ENTER.

If the registration was successful, you should now see the following message is displayed:
    DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll successful.
    e. now right-click on the Setup file of windows cleanup utility and select run as administrator.

    Method 2

If the problem persists, you can run the System File Checker and see if it works fine.

  • Problem of uninstalling with the error 'could not access VBScript Runtime for custom action'

I'm having a problem uninstall a program. I'm getting repeatedly blocked in error: "could not access VBScript Runtime for custom action.  That means this error in uninstall a program? Would appreciate a fix for this. The program is called Soluto.  Thank you.

P.S. I tried as admin and type regsvr32 vbscript.dll then regsvr32 jscript.dll in the command prompt.

As well as their registration as an administrator, you may need to remove the entries for them in HKEY_CURRENT_USER.

    See:

Also, make sure that your antivirus software is not blocking scripts.

  • Can't find script engine "VBScript" for...

I have a lot of files in VB Script I execute to do various things on my computer.  Yesterday, I started getting an error popup with the text displayed in the title of this post.  The additional information was the actual path/file that I was trying to run.  It's also manifests itself in my event viewer I'm unable to receive "online help" because of the same error pop up.

What became of my script processor?  I can find "wscript.exe" in my system32 directory, and it seems to work because I can bring up the host settings dialog box, but this is as far as I can go.  Any idea on how to re-enable this feature?

    Bill

    The entry is:

    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\ {B54F3741-5B07-11cf-A4B0-00AA004A55E8} \InprocServer32]
    @= "C:\\Program Files\\Alwil Software\\Avast5\\AhAScr.dll"

The registry key should point to the following:

    C:\Windows\system32\vbscript.dll

See the post ninth in the following thread:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-performance/cant-find-script-engine-VBScript-for-script/960f24d1-BF92-4CEC-b73e-520a04891073?page=1

To change the value data, you may need to change the permissions on the key.

  • Cannot use regsvr32 to register the jscript.dll

Hi, this is a problem which has been irritates me for some time. I'm unable to manually register the file jscript.dll via the prompt command, even when I use the administrator account by default on the computer in safe mode. I get the error message 0 x 80004005, which seems to me an error "access denied." In addition, when I use the tool of sfc, it reports no problem. I believe that my registry areas blocking access, even through, I'm using an administrator account. The same problem occurs when I do the same thing to vbscript.dll, although I've never met any side effect of this. I am running Vista Home Premium SP2, with all the latest updates installed. I also used several antiviruss protection systems to scan my pc, with no result. I need jscript.dll to install and configure Adobe products, as their installers require JavaScript display UI. Is there a way to solve this error without having to re - install? Specifically, no one knows what files and registry keys regsvr32 needs access to register the dll? Thank you.

I can't use the player windows media with my Vista system home premium.  The following message appears: the file wmploc.dll has the version number of 11.0.6002.18111 where 11.0.6002.18065 was expected. Windows media player is not installed correctly and must be reinstalled.

Windows media player is installed with Vista system and cannot be reinstalled.  I've used the process of sfc/scannow.  That solved the problem, but it creates another problem with the installation of Microsoft.Net Framework 3.5.SP1.  Therefore, I used the restore function and reset the system again.  3.5.SP1 Microsoft Framework now works again, but windows media player does not even now.

According to what is easier to fix, it seems that I can try to solve the problem of windows media player or try to solve the problem of Microsoft.Net Framework 3.5.SP1.
