  Dear friends,

  I am facing many problems with our vCenter. Its has started with lack material and discovery tab, I am unable to connect using the web client. I tried to dig the cause but could not get anywhere as several articles/discussion found.

  I get the error message saying "The Client is not authenticated at the Service of the inventory of VMware". Something that I found while troubleshooting is in the identity source SSO under the local host, the abbreviated name of the remote vCenter (DC) is added and as default instead of the local name. Is this normal? We also have a MRS. in our infra, FYI.

  I join DS newspapers which is full of information of identification/powers invalid source error no valid/unknown which I'm not quite understood.

  Can someone help me with the problem?

  A journal of issues was announced today and I tried with my AD credentials to log my vCenter device 5.1 (build 880146). No go.

  Tried with root credentials. I couldn't either.

  So lucky me I found a loged in as Web client session yesterday I'm gone my SSO config I showed me this

  

  then I went to vCenter Web Config and tried to restart the server and still the same issue

  

  So at this moment I don't really know what has failed if was SSO or vCenter Server Service... so any idea that to find the cause?

  The simple driver update will not damage your laptop but the incorrect BIOS.
  Anyway, Sam is right. The S in the first step means satellite. This is why you must use drivers for 2410-303. These are the correct drivers and they should work on the laptop.

  I do not have itunes, so I don't know where you can find it from Windows Task Manager.
  Click on process tab > scroll to find (if you know its name), until it clicks > click on end process down to the right.

  Alternatively, here is another way...
  Click on Services tab > click Services at the bottom right > uac prompt > now scroll to find itunes. I don't know how it's called. No doubt itunes.exe > if you find it, click on it > looks to the left, click on stop.

  No wonder I can't use this software, I have MS Virtual Server 2005 work just fine and virtualize posts MS Virtual PC, all pretty intuative...

  But I'm having a pig of a time with VMWare and realize that some of the suff that you need is not yet displayed.

  I have ESXi (I think that - the less expensive to see if it does what it takes before the bombing on that spans multiple servers for redundancy) and am access via vSphere as superuser.

  Had a few machines set up and double, connecting to the net etc., but who want their network to another...

  I see that you need to configure a switch in "Hosts and Clusters", but mine does not appear...

  How to show?

  Or what is this 'feature' to be able to machine VM network cost extra?

  In case you already set up a vCenter Server server, use the vSphere Client to connect to the server vCenter instead of host directly.

• Cannot delete vm orphan and inaccessible from the inventory.

  An accident during a svmotion, vm orphans and tried to readd to the inventory, but not luck.  I have since restored the virtual machine from a snapshot of the san and removed all the original files and it is now part of a new folder, but I can't remove 2 items in inventory that I tried from it readd after the initial failure.

  I restarted the server, I rebooted mgmt-vmware and vmware-vmkauthd vpxa. -several times now.

  VMware-cmd - l host does not list any reference to the virtual machine ghost.  Cannot remove vclient

  1. place the knot in Maint Mode

  2 remove the node from the Cluster

  3 Add the node in the Cluster.

  Presto - fixed.

• How to recover the machines VMS and add to the inventory

  I have this problem, either because I'm stupid, ESXi has limited features. I hope this is the first

  I use an Active Directory on ESXi 4.0 test lab and I just killed the domain controller. I've been lying to move VM to another data store and I did, the hard (20 GB) file is now stored on the main data store, which is supposed to be in use. Problem is that I can't apply this in VM vmdk file.

  I tried two different ways;

  1. I created the new virtual machine and chose to use an existing, traveled this hard drive but it is not recognizable. When you browse the data store, virtual computers work vmdk files have an icon. This one has a blank white icon.

  2. I created a new virtual machine with the hard drive. Then, I deleted the new hard and just replaced an old, renamed correctly. In this way VM does not start, complaining about this is not virtual disk.

  Is it possible to restore this domain controller?

  You cannot rename the EXSi VMDK file, otherwise the vmdk file is unable to climb to the top.

• Cannot set the vmkernel and service on the same vswitch console with 1 NIC

  I'm currently setting up a new VMWare environment, using Starwind on a 2008 server for shared storage.  The question that I am running is, when I put the vmkernel (xxx.xxx.xxx.177) and the Service Console (xxx.xxx.xxx.178) on vSwitch0 with 1 card NETWORK, I can only ping the service console.  We also use a Cisco ESW 540 24 ports switch. StarWind support says they are sure it's the swithch, no fool, what needs to be changed in this respect.  If I put the VMKernel and the Service Console on VSwitches separate with separate NIC, it works fine.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

  Make sure that the Cisco switch does not have port security enabled and allows multiple MAC addresses on the same port.

The technician could not even find the account, but he left me on hold for ten minutes, while he looked under my own name. We agreed that he would call me in fifteen minutes after I got back to my office. I have yet to hear back. I tried the technician online, but he blew me too (a 'Shashank', who expressed to me "this concern is not under my expertise, please stay on the line so that I can you give in to the installteam"). I'm still waiting for 16 hours more later to get a response from him.

• SSO and calculations of the Application

  Having a problem with the application and SSO level calculations. Here's what's happening. I have an application with some elements of application level which must be calculated (say an identification number of a certain type) in order for my projects of security clearance at the level of the work page. I'm having a severe setback when people try to access a specific page in the application vs. the public home page. He gets permission controls appear to be pulled before the essential application-level calculations to do their job. I have check and the fields are null session (yet they inhabit very well when I leave a public page). I tried before and after the page header, as well as the new session and nothing works, fields always end null and the person who made it gets an error message mean denying them access. Can anyone offer ideas here? Perhaps a thought for the next version of the APEX, but add a point of transformation for essential operations that says "Prior authorization checks" that would cause them must be assessed and ran before trying to check your access to pages or the application level.

  One option that might work is to initialize the necessary application objects for authorizations in a process of "Message authentication" instead of a calculation of "new instance".

  As far as I understand, looking for ways to to export and import your brushes.

  Here are the steps:

  • Go to the window menu in Photoshop > choose Manager of Preset
  • Select all brushes > click on Save Set > choose the location where you want to save this file brush
  • The tasks that you want to
  • Again go to the preset manager > choose Load > select this brush file that you saved earlier and it would load your brushes.
