Venue 11 Pro life battery

Hovering over the battery icon in the system tray gives me only the remaining percentage.  How to enable the feature that will show you the estimated time remaining?

Hello

I think I got it to work by disable connected standby. Regedit.exe search and run it. Reach:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power

Change the value for the key CsEnabled from 1 to 0 and reboot. After a short period of time, it indicates the remaining time. I would like to know if it works. (works for me on my i3 V11P)

On my Satellite Pro L10 battery only reaches 85% charge if leave all night. Is this likely to be a problem with the supply power, circuits inside the computer or charge the battery?

I need to know the best place to start to spend money!

Some experience that may or may not apply to:
-Battery system is around 2.5 years
-The battery lasts about 1 to 1.5 hrs that seems fair considering his age and his level of violence (left connected permanently and not recycled periodically)
-Very recently would not pass, with or without the power adapter connected. Solved by removing AC, then the battery, running on AC, then turn off and reinsert the battery. Everything now works on battery or AC.
-Over problem, system has been itself decommissioned at random. Since the resolution of the problem of market it was not randomly turned off itself, YET!

Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

HM, sounds to me like a hardware problem. But the problem is to understand where exactly the error, if you have the following options:

    * Contact a service partner chartered for a hardwarecheckup and an accurate diagnosis of your machine ([http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=EU&ID=ASP_SUPPORT])
    * You can buy a new battery (since it could be the battery, I guess)
    * You can sell this machine on ebay and buy a new one :)

Hope I could give you some new and fresh ideas. There is almost no other options or solutions, the it s so your choice.

For some professional portable computers such as Tecra and Portege you can buy different batteries (with more cells). Unfortunately for Satellite L20 these batteries are not available.

  • How to maximize battery life battery with Lithium-ion batteries?

    Hi all

There are discussions severay about the duration of battery life.
    Toshiba said on http://support.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/FAQ35007L0020R01.htm that:
Discharge the battery completely before recharging, will allow the battery to be charged to its highest capacity
But this and other points do not comfirm maximum lifetime of the battery of the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithium_ion_battery information

Question: What is the best option to maximize battery life battery with Lithium-ion batteries?

    Hello

I wonder why you n check the user's manual t or have you checked it?
The manual provides many useful tips, it confirms the information provided in document Toshiba

However, I assume that the information provided in the document of Toshiba relate to Toshiba laptops and the wikipedia article is general information

I have several laptops at home and I still have the battery charged and completely acquitted in the first three, four times.
You know, you can compare the situation of a laptop with the batteries of mobile phones battery. It s always advised to load and unload completely the battery because of the effect of stack memory.

But from my personal experience each battery loses life after 1 performance 1.5 year.

  • automatically optimize for costs of life battery batt to 100% within the parameters of the power manager

In the settings of my ThinkPad Power Manager W530, I chose the option "automatically optimize for life battery" (battery-> maintenance-> Mode of Charge of the battery). Nevertheless, he always fresh and keeps the battery at 100%. Is it normal for a battery 9 cells?

    Link to photo

But many articles and discussions here at the forum State, actually in charge at 100% is not tor good battery life (see for example this article http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Welcome-FAQs-Knowledge-Base/How-can-I-increase-battery-life-ThinkPad/ta-... ). Do not miss anything?

    Thank you!

No matter how many charge cycles the battery on it, just the time where you change the batteries maintenance mode. If you have configured to maximize battery life, the battery may charge at a lower percentage (somewhere around 90%, more or less a few percentage points), but will show this figure as "integral" or 100% for the system. If you change the mode to load completely, then the maximum capacity will change to read the actual capacity of the battery.

The only way your situation would be a concern if, after setting the battery in order to maximize the battery life, then using the system on battery and load up once again, the battery always charged up to the full 94 w/h instead of reducing the number.

First my laptop warranty has passed some time, so I can't send it back unless I can and do pay

But I recently discovered that it will charge to 86% then start discharge even still with the AC adapter is plugged
Any ideas? I think to the replacement of the battery, but I was wondering if this is what is causing the problem

    See you soon

If the battery is 3 years +, then there might just need replace.

However it could be caused by other things, supply or circuit of the DC IN jack on the motherboard may have a problem.
I would like to send the laptop to an ASP for a quote.

Can someone throw any idea on this issue?

I had a combination of these issues on two different keyboards.

The first keyboard was the issue when the battery has been recognized but not load or unload. It also did not provide when connected directly to the charger. Subsequently fixed by removing the keyboard, disconnect the battery connector, fix the dock and then re-connect the battery.  These instructions to disassemble the keyboard: [view:www.youtube.com/watch]

The second keyboard arrived, and the battery has not been recognized by the Tablet PC.  A fast charge directly with the usb charger seems to give enough charge for the battery to be recognized and operate normally.

  • Satellite Pro A10: battery question

    Hello

Is it true that SAT10 Pro can be recharged 24/7 even though the battery is fully charged. My manager insists to keep me on the sector all the day becuause there lithium-ion battery. Wouldn't this overload the lattery and decrease the life / the effectiveness of it.

Thanks in advance for any response

    Hi Isabelle,.

The normal recommendation is to remove the battery when the laptop is connected to AC power. However, the modern cell phones (and batteries) use electronic sophisticated enough to optimize the performance of reloading and if generally there's been little or no harm if the battery is left in place while the captain is connected.

My own SA30 is almost always running on AC power with a battery installed, and after 2 years as this battery will always lead the laptop for up to 2 hours what I do regularly just to discharge/recharge it.

As long as the battery is discharged periodically, then he should suffer no harm.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite Pro A210: Battery drains fast access

    Hello
I have a Satellite Pro A210 news from Jan. The battery seems if discharge very quickly during normal use so I´d be interested if someone could let me know what kind of life you get from your.

More problematic is that when the left in hibernation it drains the battery in about 36 hours, once again I´d be interested in your experiences.

It seems to load normally so I wonder if the pc is attractive more current than it should. I spotted a wire on the basis of knowledge of Toshiba which mentioned Wake on Lan, causing similar problems recommend have disabled in bios, I checked and it is turned off.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Andy

    Hello

generally, the battery should last about 2 hours (surfing, writing, etc.). I mean it depends of many factors such as:

    1 powersaving settings
    2. applications from running
    3 execution of application
    4. connected devices (such as USB - HDD, etc...)

regarding the Hibernate: this is normal. What did YOU expect?
It would also be great if you could tell me how long your machine usually in battery mode works... would be really useful ;)

I bought an iPad pro 128 gig and the battery life doesn't help. After a full charge and it is 100%, then without removing fees then watching youtube videos and the battery loses power and it's always on the charge. It breaks down within 2 hours of 100% to 82%.  I took pictures with my iphone whenever it comes down by 1%. My screen is on 60% and nothing runs in the background. What is the problem with the iPad. It takes a very long time after the closing of the application to load 100%.
