Verification of the parameters of the kernel WARNING
HelloI tried a fresh install of RHEL5 on box to virtual tools and install 10g r2
When installing the 10 g r2 on RHEL5, checking all the requirements...
Verification of the parameters of the kernel WARNING
Checking of the files-max = 65536, found file - max = 50737
Full version. The result of this review has no < < < <
Problem: The kernel parameters do not meet the minimum requirements (see above)
Check recommended glibc version
Expected result: Atleast = 2.3.2 - 95.27
Result real 2: 5-12
Possible problem: it could be the problem
During the installation of the packages on the cd 1 (I tried different CDs), I wasn't able to install the rpm package third CD 1, the following...
rpm - Uvh glibc-2. *
However, I am able to install the 0racle 10g without problem as I said...
How can I install the rpm file and set the kernel parameter, if it is...
Someone know the solution...

Yum is certainly the way to go because it solves software dependencies, this isn't the RPM. The problem with RHEL is that it does not provide a public yum repository and you will pay a subscription. CentOS and Oracle Linux are not.

Verification for the loading of unauthorized kernel (ESXi only) modules.
Can someone tell me how to put this:
4.2.16.1 VMware provides digital signatures for 3 party kernel modules that meet certain requirements. By default the ESXi host does not load the kernel modules which do not have a valid digital signature. This behavior can be overridden; However, a warning is sent to the alert system administrator logs any time that an unauthorized module is loaded.
4.2.16.1.1 the core of 'messages' log file will show an entry of any time that an unsigned module is loaded into memory. This log file should be monitored and analyzed for this text. The message will be of the form
4.2.16.1.2 ALERT: Elf: NNNN: XXXXX kernel module has been loaded, but has no attached signature. Where "NNNN" is a number and "XXXXX" is the nameIt refers to 15 HMT in hardening paper.
Thank you
Hello
I think that this is serious. If you have a kernel module that is not signed, while the kernel module is NOT blessed by VMware. However, you may have blessed it yourself, and you must have it because it is from a third-party trust provider. In this case, you have two options, check checksums and communicate to the supplier you need all your kernel modules to be blessed by Vmware.
This is very similar to the alteration of the Linux kernels and some cannot be contaminated (by security policy), and others allow it. You need to know what the module is and why he has been charged in the first place and if use you it again.
In this case, the knowledge is your friend, starting with the list of those signed and functional not from there. You can use the logfile approach as well, but in both cases, you can find unsigned modules.
To define levels of more top/more detailed log look at Article #1004795

verification of the security kernel failure when you scan channels in media center
Trying to scan channels in Windows Media Center I get the blue screen of death (BSOD) saying that I should look for in the "kernel Security Check Failure" on the internet.
I use a USB tuner and an ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe Motherboard which worked 100% in Windows 7?I found the solution by translating the Italian Forum on the same issue a post ;)
Check if your usb tuner is connected to a 3 USB and if so, put it on a usb port 2.
then go to control panel - devices and printers - right click of the tuner and select troubleshooting. hope this helps, it worked for me! -

Change the kernel settings after 10g Software Installation
Hello world
I need to install Oracle 10 g 2 in a box of HP - UX Itanium for an upgrade of Database 9i and 10g and some have recommended prerequisites of the kernel are not defined as requested for the installation program. Kernell settings have been changed in order to fulfill the preconditions but the can´t server be rebooted now because it is a production environment, it will be restartedb in two weeks, but I want to start right now with the installation software.
My question is: safetly can I install the software, and after restarting the server, perform the upgrade of my database?
The kernel parameters that failed were:
Verification of the maxdsiz_64bit = 2147483648; found maxdsiz_64bit = 1073741824. Failure of < < < <
Verification of the maxswapchunks = 16384; no entry found. Failure of < < < <
Checking the semmap = 4098; no entry found. Failure of < < < <
I'll appreciate your help... Thanks in advance!

Verification of the compatibility conducted and ultra firefox slow
When I started Firefox yesterday (19/05/2015), he said that she was performing a verification of the compatibility of Firefox Add-ons and has been really slow. Entry of a same character is lagging far behind what anyone typing in Firefox. I tried Firefox rearmament and deletion of the recent modules. Firefox seems to work OK in Mode without failure.
Hi Pubdef, try Disabling graphics hardware acceleration. You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).
Then perform the following steps:
- Open the Firefox Options tab as follows, click on the menu button
then select Options .
- In the Options of Firefox tab, click Advanced, and then select general.
- You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Uncheck this box.
- Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
In addition, please check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in the following knowledge base articles:
This solve your problems? Please report to us!
Thank you.
- Open the Firefox Options tab as follows, click on the menu button

There is a patch for VMWare WS 9.0.2 to play nice with 3.10 kernel here:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/VMware#3.10_kernels
Or you can wait for VMWare WS 10.0 out...

compilation error for the kernel to install VM Player 3.0 w / Ubuntu 9.10
Recently, I performed a clean installation of Ubuntu 9.10 (kernel real time). I tried to install VM Player 3.0 (although received the same mistakes w / 2.5) and received the following errors during the recompilation of the kernel. I was running VM Player 2.5 w / Ubuntu 9.04 previously with no problems.
All advice is appreciated.

I managed to run VM Player 3.0. I'm not 100% sure that the following items, which really made the difference, but here's what I do (as root):
apt - get install linux-backports-modules-karmic-generic
apt - get install build-essential
apt - get remove vmware
chmod a + x ~paul/downloads/VMware-Player-3.0.0-203739.i386.bundle

Good luck.

MacBook Pro hard repeated panics of the kernel
Hello
I knew panic the kernel repeated on my MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inch, mid-2014). In general, a piece of software will be "quit unexpectedly" a few times (Web Safari, Mail, Finder content). Then, randomly, the system will be completely freeze two seconds and restart.
I tried running with the system in Mode safe, but panicking kernel continue to hinder. Then I erased the hard drive and reinstalled the new El Capitan (and later upgrade to Sierra). I continued to experiment with these error messages and panics of the kernel, which I can only assume means that I have a hardware problem.
I take the unit to a Genius Bar next week, but in the meantime, I was wondering if someone could look over panic report and identify a possible cause? I have never added or changed everything - the MacBook is exactly as it was when I bought it.

Mac Pro 1.1 2006 fails installation of Mac OS x after the kernel panic
Hi all
A few days ago, I have known repeated panics of the kernel starting with my mac pro xeon quad core 1.1 (2006).
It was not impossible to access the system (to the start screen kernel panic), impossible to access SafeMode (stuck at apple logo stuck charging symbol), I decided to do a clean install of the system (Lion).
Installation is anyway impossible, because when I plug the usb with lion pen, he anyway stucks at the apple screen logo and freezes loading (the same problem also occurs if I burn image of lion uploaded on the apple store on a dvd).
I tried the dvd and usb pen on another computer and installation went flawless.
Then, I tried to reset the SMC, reset the PRAM, but it's always the same.
Then I tried to do an apple hardware test (full expanded mode) and after 55 minutes of testing, he said no. PROBLEMS DETECTED.
What I try to do?
Thank you very much.
I don't remember if it works in Lion, but see if you have the time to hit the keys CMD + L when the installation starts, to get a visible history of the NSO will.

Try to install El Capitan, the kernel panic
Hello!
I tried two different methods for the installation of El Capitan with the same result.
1. passage of Mountain Lion.
2. fresh install on a new SSD with a bootable SD card.
I don't know how to copy the text for the kernel panic, so I took a picture of what it looks like. They are slightly different.
The only problem experienced with the computer (MBP9.2, 13 ", 2.9 GHz I7) is the:"To avoid damaging your computer, device drawing too much power has been disabled. Other devices have can also be disabled. When you unplug the device too much drawing power, your other USB devices will be activated again. »
That appears from time to time. AHT says "no problems found". SMC and NVRAM has been reset.
Have managed to restore the computer to Lion of mountain for the moment, I prefer to upgrade.
If any USB devices are connected, please disconnect them and try again.

Attack of the kernel after upgrading to El Capitan
I need help and fashionable of despair. I get an error Kernel attack (such as published in full below) and can rule out a hardware malfunction. My situation is unique in the sense that I had a MacBook 2011 Pro - I upgraded to El Capitan and began to get the kernel attacks every twenty minutes or more. I ended up doing a restore of my Time Machine backup (which was of Yosemite), and the problem stopped. The interesting thing is that the time machine backup, while in Yosemite, never came back save El Capitan.
I bought a new MacBook Pro from Apple and restored my backup time computer machine and then upgraded to El Capitan backup, as he showed in my remarkable applications. Although less frequent, the attacks returned core. I got on the phone with Apple and we did a cover of the OSX drive on two of my computers. I get still kernel tackles. It's very frustrating and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Panic the kernel... maybe?
Layman with what I found are called the kernel panics. I have a Macbook Air Yosemite 10.10.5 running. For the last week or two, maybe 3 or 4 times in total, my computer stopped a brief message and coding. Troubleshooting seems to range from moderate to the support of the Bank. What can I do myself to try it on a very basic level, if anything? Should I update to El Capitan? Comments really seem to vary. Thank you.

Reports of kernel panic: "/ Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports".
<http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2546>

The panic report should have "panic" in the name of the file.
If you don't have a kernel panic, post 2 or 3 of them as answers about it.
Also yet another thread, I suggest that answer you out of EtreCheck

You have the misfortune to have a model identifier 6.2 MBP that GPU problems. There was a program of replacement card logic on these models, but that has expired.
To resolve this problem, you can have the logic board replaced at your expense.
As a temporary measure, you can download and install this application:
This will cancel the discreet GPU and run the MBP using only the built-in. This will result in a decrease in the graphics performance.
