Verifier detected Violation

New Envy 15-j171nr running Windows 8.1, all the patches applied, including an update of the HP recommended BIOS.  Only other change of important configuration, I've done was to enable virtualization in the BIOS (necessary for the required software and one of the reasons why I chose this model).

When I run the application Oracle VirtualBox 4.3.12, I sometimes get a message "Driver_Verified_Detected_Violation" and restart the computer.  Once, he restarted and reset the BIOS.  Msinfo32.exe indicates the BIOS runs now is F.56 Insyde, 23/04/2014.  SMBIOS Version 2.7

I first noticed this when I was trying to Mint 17 cinnamon (64-bit) - seemed to happen almost every time that I launched the virtual machine.   I normally run Xubuntu 12.04 LTS (32 and 64 bit versions), which had not been giving me problems until the launch of the 32-bit version threw the error this morning - bit has not tried to reinstall the BIOS.

Not finding any information on what is the cause.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I've updated the Intel and NVIDIA drivers, and that seems to have solved the problem.

    Hi all

I have an Asus Viobook S200

This week, he began to behave strangely. first of all a word document kept crashing, recovery and when I tried to open the recovery file it says that there is no space on the disk or something.

Then, when you open a PDF file, it would freeze. Then I would get the blue screen of windows message 8 on that there is a problem and have to sh, this was due to a mistake of paging kernal. I was able to reboot and havie no question unless I open a PDF file. Then it happened randomly once. all the time, it restarts and works fine - but I don't know when the next crash will come.

can someone please help me identify the questions?

Here's what I've done so far...

-a ran a CHKDSK on the drive C - no errors.
-a ran a memory - no error diagnostic tool
-ran Malewarebytes - found 5 threats, all have been removed.
After that all that he has operated. does not open the PDF files, but it leaves the viewer just close instead of freezing. I uninstalled this viewer in case.

the next day he was sitting doing nothing and it restarted itself saying that he had a problem.

in the link that you can find below

I would be very grateful if someone could help analyze and see if the problem is identifiable.
hoping that my hard drive is not done...

  • X 51 starts, the potential problems of 660 GTX.

Computer is only a few days old - Alienware x51.

First thing I did was install the drivers recommended to me from the dell site after entering my service tag and OS - Windows 8 64bit. The video card driver that dell told me to install was 307.07.

The next day, whilst playing a game, the screen froze and became covered in blue squares before restarting. Upon restart during the bios loading, the screen is covered in horizontal blue lines. Once bios loading has finished and windows starts trying to load the screen goes black and my monitor does not recognise my computer even though when i unplug the VGA it knows that is is unplugged. The computer will remain on with the screen black until I hold down the power button. Monitor and cable are running fine. this happened each time i tried to start the computer. After leaving it be for a few hours it turned on normally again. Thinking it was an overheating or a driver issue with my gtx 660 I installed a gpu temp program - Temps reached mid 70C during intense gaming. I also then went to the nvidia site and updated to the latest gtx 60 driver - 310.90 instead of 307.07. Around this point after installing some new apps etc i started to get constant blue screens, either - driver verifier detected violation or unexpected kernal mode trap. After removing my 3rd party anti virus and settling with windows defender this somewhat remedied the blue screen problem.

I then ran a video card stress test from the dell site. Part way through the test the screen froze with blue (and yellow/red) squares, requiring a restart. upon restart the screen had the same blue line on it and would not start. after a few goes it eventually did.

Then during a skype video call I had the screen freeze with the blue squares again before restarting itself. The blue lines appear on start up again during the bios load before the screen going black. This has stayed this way and i have not been able to turn it on.

I turned the computer on and through holding F8 navigated my way to restoring my system using the alienrespawn in order the restore my pc to how it was when it was sent to me (without the drivers I installed).

However, this did not work and i still can not turn the computer on as the blue lines appear and the screen still goes black .

Additionally, now I cant enter safe mode as I need to finish setting up windows (entering country and email etc like I had to when I first turned it on).

I have waited half a day and the same still happens - during bios load horizontal blue lines. after bios load screen goes black, computer stays on, requires forced shut down.

I have emailed tech support and am waiting on their response also.

    Intel Core i7-3770 3.4GHz, 8GB (2 X 4GB) Dual Channel DDR3 up to 1600MHz, 1.5GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660, 1TB SATA 3Gb/s (7,200RPM) 32MB Cache, Windows 8, 64-bit, English.

I had the GPU replaced, and haven had any problems since.

My theory as to why the first GPU did not work, it's that the fan would not increase to cool. So when I played a demanding game it has overheated and fried.

I am using MSI afterburner with the new GPU, to set a more conservative fan speed and keep it cool.

  • Violation detected Driver Verifier.

So I got a screen of pilot detected Violation blue came, and I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me with it here. I got place 8 times so far, and each time was only by practicing a certain game. I wouldn't know that it was something the game caused, whereas it is quite addictive for me. Here are the. Want a quick answer, but I know that everyone at this time is busy.

The errors referenced DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION the nvlddmkm.sys which is the NVIDIA display driver.

You can try to update the NVIDIA display driver:

    http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook-WIN8-Win7-64bit-320.49-WHQL-driver.html

In addition, 'disable' the driver verifier - do this before updating the display driver:

Start > type verifier.exe and press 'Enter' on the keyboard > clear the existing settings > finish > click 'Yes' to the message to delete the settings and exit the program

In addition, there were two other errors.

One was a mistake DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (9f) referring to the AiCharger.sys.

I would say to uninstall the software Asus Ai Charger.

The other mistake was a mistake with APB.exe (APB Reloaded) UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP as the process that crashed.

This error can be caused by ESET Firewall (s).

It seems to be an older version of ESET Smart Security installed which may not be fully compatible with Windows 8.

I suggest to uninstall ESET Smart Security and see if improves stability.

Consider the alternative security software such as Windows 8 (Windows Defender) integrated antivirus and firewall, or you can try the latest version of ESET Smart Security.

Also, consider to update, if possible, TeamViewer, TuneUp Utilities. PowerISO, VMWare and the driver for the game like these software keyboard all have older drivers.

    -----------------------

    1. uninstall your Netgear Wireless Solution software, it is unnecessary and dated for almost 8 years ago.

2 Please also also uninstall your software Check Point, of course, a virtual card. Device drivers are 7 years old.

3 if accidents continue after both of foregoing, please activate the driver verifier:

    Driver Verifier:

    What is the driver verifier?

Driver Verifier monitors Windows kernel-mode drivers, drivers graphics and even 3rd party drivers to detect function calls illegal or actions that could corrupt the system. Driver verifier may submit Windows drivers to a variety of constraints and testing to find the incorrect behavior.

Essentially, if there is a 3rd driver party supposed to be originally the issues at hand, enabling Driver Verifier will help us see which specific driver is causing the problem.

Before you enable Driver Verifier, it is recommended to create a System Restore Point:

Vista - START | type rstrui - create a restore point
Windows 7 - START | type create | Select "create a Restore Point.
    Windows 8/8.1 - http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/4690-restore-point-create-windows-8-a.html

How to enable the driver verifier:

Start > type "auditor" without quotes > select the following options.

    1. select - 'create a custom settings (for code developers).
2 select - "choose custom a complete list settings.
    3 check the following boxes.
    -Special pool
    -Pool management
    -Force IRQL control
    -Detection of blockages
-Security Checks (only on Windows 7 & 8/8.1)
-DDI compliance verification (only on Windows 8/8.1)
    -Cheques
4 select - "select the driver names from a list.
5 click the 'supplier '. This will cause the sorting of all drivers by the provider.
6 check EACH box that is NOT provided by Microsoft / Microsoft Corporation.
    7 click Finish.
    8 restart.

    Important information about driver verifier:

-Perhaps the most important which I now make it clear that it was bad often, activation of the Verifier itself is not! a solution, but rather a diagnostic utility. He'll tell us if a driver is causing your problems, but even once it will not solve your problems purely and simply.

-If the Driver Verifier finds a violation, the system will search BSOD. To expand on that a bit more for those interested, more precisely what driver verifier actually does is he's looking for any driver to perform illegal function calls, causing leaks memory, etc.. When and / in this case, the corruption of the system occurs if allowed to continue. When Driver Verifier is enabled by my instructions above, it is followed all pilots 3rd part (as we have defined it this way) and when he catches a pilot tries to do, it will be quickly mark this driver as being a troublemaker and bring down the system safely above all corruption may occur.

-After activation of the Verifier and rebooting the system, according to the culprit, if for example, the driver is started, you may not return to normal Windows because Driver Verifier detects in violation almost right away, and as noted above, which will cause / force a BSOD.

In this case, do not panic, follow these steps:

-Start in Safe Mode by pressing repeatedly F8 key during boot to the top.

-Once in Mode safe - start > Search > type "cmd" without the quotes.

-To disable the Driver Verifier feature, type cmd ' auditor/Reset"without the quotes.

    -Reboot and start Windows normally.

If your OS has become corrupt or you cannot start Windows after you disable the auditor through Safe Mode:

-Start in Safe Mode by pressing repeatedly F8 key during boot to the top.

-Once in Mode safe - start > type "System Restore" without the quotes.

-Select the previously created restore point.

-Note that Safe Mode for Windows 8/8.1 is a little different, and you may need to try different methods: 5 ways to boot into Safe Mode on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1

How long can I keep the compatible driver verifier for?

I recommend keeping it activated for at least 24 hours. If you do not BSOD right there, turn off Driver Verifier. Usually, I say if, yes or no, I would like for you to keep active longer.

My system BSODS with enabled, driver verifier where I can find the crash dumps?

-If you have the system planned to generate small images of memory, they are in the %systemroot%\Minidump.

-If you have the system planned to generate images of the kernel memory, it will be located in the % systemroot % Directory and labeled MEMORY. DMP.

I see not all installed update more. It is said that it was never updated after having tried what was suggested here:

    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/2509997

Method 6: Reset the contents of the Catroot2 folder

To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an administrative command prompt window.
    2. Type the following commands and press ENTER after each command:
      • net stop cryptsvc
      • MD %systemroot%\system32\catroot2.old
      • xcopy %systemroot%\system32\catroot2.old /s %systemroot%\system32\catroot2
    3. Delete all the content of the catroot2 folder, but do not delete the catroot2 folder.
    4. Type the following command and press ENTER:
      net start cryptsvc
    5. Close the command prompt window.

It seems that I do not have a catroot2 folder. Any suggestions at this point?

    Thank you!

    Thank you for your attention.

    Hello

Let us work together to solve this problem.

If Windows 8 works fine, then contact support on how to create a recovery disk, MSI using MSI recovery software.

You can also create a System Image, using the history of the Windows files.

I suggest you to create a recovery disk, as it can come very handy when needed.

Please get back to us with the results and any other questions you may have about the Windows operating systems.

    Hey Quincy,

Video driver nVidia switched batteries using a method that is not supproted by the operating system. The only way to support to extend a stack in kernel mode is by calling KeExpandKernelStackAndCallout.

Make sure you have the latest video card drivers. If you are already on the latest graphics card drivers, uninstall and install a version or a few versions behind the last to make sure this isn't a last number one driver. If you have already experienced with the driver of the card later and earlier versions, please try the driver beta for your card.

  • CPD Watchdog Violation on my Toshiba Satellite and impossible to verify updates

I had Violation Watchdog DPC on my Toshiba Satellite. It's frustrating to worm. How can I solve this problem?

    Here's my minidumps files https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resid=67BCFC4F8EC6B99B 107

    Hi Sheikh R,.

You seem to have two software antivirus/firewall in real-time installed, Norton and Avira which can cause stability problems.

Can you uninstall Norton and Avira and see if that helps.

For security software consider using just firewall and antivirus integrated Windows 8 (Windows Defender).

I would also uninstall the c:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys pilot who has been known to cause blue screen errors in some configurations.

Uninstall the application that has installed the driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys, maybe it's Daemon Tools or Alcohol 120%.

Then, uninstall the c:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys - see "How can I remove driver SPTD on 64-bit operating system?" in the following link:

  • Driver Detective seems to be a 'partner' of Microsoft. Anyone can verify this as fact? And is this a reliable site?

Became 'nervous in the service' when I opened similar sites.  Of course, they offer to clean your PC problems; but they also - almost immediately - try to sell you something!  I'd appreciate a few 'war stories' on experince (s) with JJ.

Anyone can be a Microsoft Partner, you can register your cat if you want... If you have a cat.  "Most Microsoft Partners are good ethical companies or individuals but any who can can all themselves as being a Microsoft Partner and in no way can depend on you as a consumer as proof of the legitimacy or competence of the ' touter '.

As far as I am concerned the better most of these types of tools have very limited use, and at worst, they are perfectly useless borderline scams, I certainly wouldn't pay for any of them and I'd be suspicious of some or most of them.

You're having problems with your computer?  What makes you think that you need to update your drivers?  Drivers rarely need to update, as a rule that you usually just update drivers to resolve specific problems, when it comes to the pilot the motto "if it ain't broke don't fix it' is a good one to follow.

As long as these utilities that come with claims that they will be 'clean', tune and speed up your computer just stay away from them, most of them is that powder useless Perlimpinpin or outright scams and mostly they cause more harm that good, not just this kind of garbage on your computer.
