  • WebWorks app not to recognize the plugin for Blackberry app

    Hello! I'm portage a webapp Android to WebWorks. My Android application using Phonegap, so when I discovered the new WebWorks used to, it was a great relief. But the problem came when I tried to use the BlackBerry push service, because demand for some strange reason does not recognize the plugins I have installed through the console, just like the documentation says http://developer.blackberry.com/html5/apis/beta/blackberry.app.html.

    Since then I have removed everything that belonged to the push service and I installed the com.blackberry.app plugin to test the ways that they are supposed to work. It debugged in the Web Inspector and I have this message.

    ReferenceError: Can't find variable: blackberry

    This error came from this line in my code:

    Console.log ("the State of the screen is:" + blackberry.app.windowState);

    In my config.xml file, I have the line:

    I am new to this platform and I don't know if the plugins should be called somewhere in the html file or the js to make it work. Or is there something else wrong on how I use the plugins?

    BTW: my application uses the last cordova because I developed since the SDK WebWorks 2.0.0.54, but my app Android used Cordova 2.0.0 and this library is called in the html code. So, when I tried to change the cordova for the last file, the application didn't work, so I left there where he was.

    In the standard application of Cordova, the application calls app.initialize as follows (additional code left to show the implementation of the call and the scripts required):

            ...

    Which is defined in index.js as follows:

        initialize: function() {
            this.bindEvents();
        },

    Which subsequently called bindEvents

        bindEvents: function() {
            document.addEventListener('deviceready', this.onDeviceReady, false);
        },

    And records the event deviceready on the document listener. It is an event of Cordova and fires after that cordova.js has loaded and initialized.

    When occur, index.js continues to manage the event here:

        onDeviceReady: function() {
            app.receivedEvent('deviceready');
        },

    And we can see that receivedEvent can be used as a central event handler, if we so desire.

        receivedEvent: function(id) {
            var parentElement = document.getElementById(id);
            var listeningElement = parentElement.querySelector('.listening');
            var receivedElement = parentElement.querySelector('.received');

            listeningElement.setAttribute('style', 'display:none;');
            receivedElement.setAttribute('style', 'display:block;');

            console.log('Received Event: ' + id);
        }

    Note that the code inside receivedEvent is specific to the sample application by default.

    If you customize the code, it is important not to break the chain. More precisely until when you add the deviceready listener. Of course, there are other ways to get to this point, but if we find issues, it is better to return to the example of the most basic.

    If Cordova is indicating that he did not shoot within 5 seconds, there is not a lot of continuous loading on or Cordova has not properly load to the point where he can pull of the event.

    If you connect Web Inspector and then press ctrl + r in the Web Inspector to reload the application, the Console shows additional failures? (This will allow the newspaper display all outings since the start of the run.)

    Maybe in the network Panel, are there resources that could not load?

  • Classic BlackBerry is unable to get a new version of the app

    Hello!

    The current version of Navitel Navigator app (https://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/33343371/?lang=en&countrycode=RU) in AppWorld is 9.6.486 and Blackberry Classic is marked as device supported. But when I'm looking for this app on my classic BlackBerry (in AppWorld application), I see that 9.2.0.4 only version is available. I send email to the developer of this application and I got the answer, that there is problem of BlackBerry App World. So... How can I get the latest version on my device?

    Hi @sneer

    I suspect that the developer has another version of the device application according to BB10 you use, for example on my jump I shows me 9.5.30.0

    That being the case, when you contact the developer I would ask them to check what version of their app, they have 'activated' for each device BB10 and mention the different versions being shown in this thread based on device type.

    My suspicion is a device with the version 9.6, but other devices were not activated with the version 9.6.

    I hope this helps

  • BlackBerry 10 Questions on app and updates BB10

    I recently got a classic BlackBerry and I have a few questions.

    First of all, BlackBerry apps world somehow checked or scanned for malware? I'm pretty skeptical of third party software, but I would like to install a terminal emulator any. I was looking at Term48.

    Secondly, I read that the new private will have Android on it. Does that mean that BlackBerry will become yet another Android phone salesman and that 10 BlackBerry will be interrupted/not supported in the near future?

    Thanks for your time.

    Applications submitted through BBWorld indeed pass tests and checking for malware. Indeed, even if you install APKs (that you can on a device BB10), those are also checked by the Guardian BB app to see if they are known to contain malware or other problems. It is perfect? Without no doubt... but I do not remember all any confirmed report of malware, viruses, or other such things on BB devices. BBs are still safer mobile devices available.

    No one here in this community of users may know (or, if they are not, reveal) what the future holds. My speculation is that indeed the PRIV aura Android, but BB powered secure... a kind of hybrid OS. BB10 is not known to be scheduled for the end of life, and don't we know if the PRIVATE is the only, or the first, this device to be released by BB. We all need to wait and see.

    Good luck!

  • How to publish a new version of an app for BlackBerry 10

    I had my application for BBOS5-7, and now I've built for BlackBerry 10.

    Should I publish it as an updated version or a new application?

    If I keep the same application but this release as an update, how can I post a screenshot for both applications? I want to keep both versions for the two operating systems in the world of BlackBerry.

    He also tells me that I have a different Package ID when I download the file BAR. What is the Package ID?

    If the two versions of your app do exactly the same thing, I would say just as a new version. Which makes it easier for yourself if you want to update something later.

    If you want to add screenshots for the different versions, you can modify your application. Press the pencil in the provider portal, click on the tab called "Graphics". On the page that opens then you will have the choice between "Default", "BlackBerry OS 7 and earlier ', 'Phone BlackBerry smart, 10' and 'BlackBerry PlayBook. In these sections, you can add the graphics exactly where you want them to be. I think that's what you wanted?

    On the package ID, I find the explanation in this post the best to explain it: http://devblog.blackberry.com/2012/03/package-id-rejected-by-app-world/

    Keep us informed of what you ultimately choose as your option. I'm curious :-)

  • Name of wrong version in Blackberry World

    Hi all

    I use blackberry-apkpackager for packaging apk-> bar.

    Original manifest.XML has two fields defined for the version:

    (example)

    Android: versionCode = "14".
    Android: versionName = "1.30.0.

    After conditioning the "manifest. MF' has two meanings:

    Package version: 1.0.14.0

    Application version: 1.0.14.0

    Of course, after the signing and deployment of Blackberry World, the application (using the sandbox) shows

    Version: 1.0.14.0

    Question 1: How can I show him 1.30.0?

    I am using only using tools BB10 (Beta) and therefore cannot rely on eclipse although eclipse has not helped

    I've seen people mention .lsv files but I can't get these. Where is the documentation for that?

    My last resort is to decompress the .bar after conditioning, change the "manifest. MF", compress the return .bar file, by signing and pushing into the world of Blackberry.  Someone has an idea better?

    What about android.cfg? Cannot find documentation for this one also

    I am also happy to use m or - my swithces to the blackberry apkpackager but don't have the docs for this too RIM please give us some documents...

    I found the solution.

    Thanks to: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18646464/new-blackberry-app-world-error-bar-manifest-file-package...

    Quote:

    "Obviously something has changed in the BlackBerry tools. Try to set the application android:versionName attribute to a value of 4 parts (like 3.1.0.1 ). BlackBerry has always used this format (major.minor.micro.build) for native applications. It seems that, at least that your Android manifest has the same format, creation of BlackBerry tools fail to analyze the versionName attribute and use a downturn"

    That's exactly what happened in my case. The android: versionName used major.minor.micro and bbtools then returned to android: versionCode to produce something completely useless

    Still, I'd like to see some documents on this...

  • New version of the app is signed with old/invalid signature keys

    Hello

    My Forte.fm application (the only Rdio cirrently client available for BB10), broke from the OS 10.1. I put off fixing it because I had passed to Android, but I want to make it work again. It's a WebWorks app, and the versions currently in App World are signed with the old style keys. I tried a number of different methods of conversion/link my old signature with my BBID keys, but nothing that I've done the work. The closest I came to a successful outing is an App World error, saying: the keys are incompatible with previous versions.

    At this point, I just want to sign it with my new keys, but I can't download on App World from my existing application bears the same name. Because the app is broken for 2 years, I don't think it would be much of a loss to wipe out the 50 + 1 star reviews that said: it's broken.

    I built this app as sort of a 'labor of love' because I can't charge due to conditions of use Rdio. Really, I'd like to see people who can use it and get some good reviews for an application that works fine in a browser and on Android.

    I couldn't find info of direct contact for support to BlackBerry developers, so I'll also here: can someone help me get a working version of newly signed my existing application?

    For the curious, the app was introduced with a flourish by launching:
    http://CrackBerry.com/no-RDIO-app-BlackBerry-10-yet-try-fortefm

    You can use the linked form to below to ask that the BlackBerry World supplier management team reset your existing Package ID.  This will allow you to download a new version signed with a different key.

  • Demand for services mobile banking blackBerry App HDFC

    Dear team,

    I recently bought Q10 of Blackberry which is a great mobile. I really liked that, previously, I was using iPhone4S and where I can install most of the demand for mobile banking. I have an account with HDFC Bank and even the application is there in the world of Blackberry...

    When I did a scan of barcode, it shows this application not available for your device. I found that this application is available for most of the older Blackberry models. If you guys can make this request to be grown and used in the new Blackberry models that would be really fantastic. I would ask that your team to push this applications for customers to be more happy necessary. We are willing to pay for applications since its very important for our needs.

    Please check and let me know when its available.

    Thank you best regards &,.

    FFF

    Hello

    Please recognize a few things...

    First of all, "you guys" would mean, I think your post BB people... this site is a community of users, not a user-to/from-BB of communication channel. Reference:

    Second, BB is not (and never has) apps 'pull' of the community of developers (except for a few very small). Instead, each developer chooses the devices and OS levels that they support, then writes their application accordingly and he pushes through different distribution channels. Therefore, the desire for support for a specific device model and the level of the BONE would be better expressed for the developer of the app directly.

    Third, I'm guessing that you only watched until BBWorld for this app? Remember BB10 opened the world of Android apps, but there are often use other portals to get (once again, developers, no BB, choose the portals to distribute their application). There's the Amazon App Store normally already registered on the device. It has SNAP, a very nice add to the device store. And there are others. I looked at GLANCE and see the app you want is there... If it will actually work or not is another question, I can't test it for you.

    Good luck and let us know!

  • Provision of world BB older version of the app

    Hello

    I released the new version of the application (1.0.1). BB world shows (in the text) that it is already available. When I try to download and then it downloads old version 1.0.0.

    I also get the error report from a user returning in billing app errorCode #2 (not sure at the moment that it is).

    BlackBerry, could your please give us more clearly how it is possible? And potentially fix as it is inconsitent behavior.

    Thank you

    Tom

    Looks like there are 2 separate issues:

    (1) blackBerry World does not display the correct version of the application

    (2) the payment Service returns errors

    # 1, as jtegen pointed out, can be caused by restrictions on the release when uploaded to the portal of the seller. It can also take about 6 hours for the BlackBerry World cache clear * after * the app is posted for sale.

    # 2, here is a list of the error messages:

    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/native/reference/BB10/com.QNX.doc.bps.lib_ref/com.QNX.doc.bps.lib_r...

    This error means that a call is in progress, trying to make another call using the API Service of payment. All payment calls must be made sequentially, simultaneous calls are not supported.

  • Blackberry app in the world running on the Blackberry 10 Simulator

    Hello

    I would like to run blackberry apps world that I download on App world on the Simulator.

    I could do with the pre OS 10 simulators, but with the latest it doenst seem to work, no matter what Application download.

    I tried with different versions of the Simulator including 10.2.2_0X1444

    The Simulator to load correctly.

    I can browse the internet, so I know I have connectivity,

    I can go on the App World and then choose an application to download.

    The progress bar then moves as it downloads the file.

    However at this point, I'm getting the problem. Once the file is downloaded then just get the message 'Installation pending '.

    Is it possible to get an app in the blackberry world to run on the Simulator?

    answered my own question...

    Of

    https://DevNet.madewithmarmalade.com/questions/14729/test-launch-of-a-BlackBerry-bar-file-on-a-Devic...

    The reason is basically because the Simulator is x 86/intel architecture and we build for ARM (device architecture).

    We want to support the Simulator, but various other tasks (for example Windows Phone) platform support take priority for the forseable future. There are some difficulties to support the Simulator with an internal architecture on our side, graphics drivers, etc..

    Note that because the binaries, you can run in the device Simulator BB10 and aBB10 are different (if you use BlackBerry own SDK, it will compile two different binary, one for each architecture), you would not even test a real construction identical and there is always possibility of issue on the device, you do not see on the desktop.
