  • Windows 8.1 & Google Earth does not

I just upgraded my Dell Inspiron One 2330 (touch screen with AMD HD7650A) of Windows 8 to 8.1 Windows.  I also downloaded from Dell Download Center and installed new drivers for Windows 8.1.  However, for some reason, Google Earth (7.1) crashes whenever I try to open it.  A message appears and says that DirectX does not, while he leaves the program.  I checked everything, including Directx and found no flaws on software or hardware.  It seems that Google Earth has problems with the screen resolution?  Should I reload Directx?  Can someone give me a hand?   Thanks in advance!

After installation and test different versions of AMD/Dell video drivers and the Goodle Earth, the problem was finally.  It's a problem of compatibility of Windows DirectX 8.1 with Google Earth.  In the last test, I started 8.1 Windows through "Safe Mode" and then on the GE (Version 7.1).  The GE started nicely and also acknowledged the HD display that never happened with Windows before 8.  I was able to change the "Graphics Mode" in "Views" of "DirectX" to "OpenGL" and restarted Windows 8.1 normally.  The GE has worked well since.

  • Google Earth with 8 64-bit Windows compatibility

I can't install Google Earth on my computer portable 64-bit of Windows 8. Any ideas why this happens? I watched that video on youtube whisch showed a person properly install and use on your desktop of Windows 8. Because of 64-bit or something else? I also tried to temporarily close the antivirus protection in the case where... but it still doesn't work! Also tried windows 'troubleshoot compatibility' with no result...

Today, I installed Google Earth on a new Dell 2350 all-in-one. Everything is perfect, no problems.

X Direct works under 64 bit Windows 8.1 (6.2.9200.0), Version GE 7.1.2.2041. Emailed a bunch of .kmls of old machine again, worked fine. The layers of downloaded and added, USGS topo worked fine. 3D works great but a little "Cartoon". Ran full installation as an administrator. Then I'll test the functioning and GPS connection...

    Hello

We have a number of users who need Google earth on computers for their guests.  These machines are running Windows 7 32 bit.  Note that these are not computers using VMWare view.

In the 1876 article, it says that google earth must be executed in OpenGL mode.  However this article was not updated for a year and referred to workstation 6 and 7 versions.  We run vSphere 4.1 update 2 with the latest tools installed.

The above article is always the source of optimul for more information or is there other available.  Is it possible to increase the default physical memory available for the video card to produce better results when rendering images?

You can increase the amount of video RAM on the virtual computer and see if it helps the application. See this article for more details:

If the software is still not compatible, you must communicate with development of google and see if they plan to release a new version. Or if you have a Time Machine backup, you can restore your system to a point where the operating system and this app worked together. Past that Apple has no googles software and does not patch their OS to accommodate other developers especially when OS X 10.12 was available to google for months to make these changes.

  • Google earth does not load

A recent update to google earth means now that it does not load on my Apple Mac (OS El Capitan version 10.11.6). Ideas for something simple as this seems to be a big problem to read the support section.

I tried to go back to older versions of the Earth, which worked well, but cannot get them to load up to now either.

Think its something to do with the option to connect to the Earth, but it crashes before I even get to do and creates a massive error report.

    Thank you very much

Not sure what you mean by 'recent '. Just looked at today and it is the same version from 20/05/2015. Works for me on OSX 10.11.6.

  • Plugin Google Earth is not recognized by Firefox (works in Safari and Chrome)

For some reason any Google Earth has stopped working in Firefox, and I get a note that I have to download the plug-in. (It works fine in Chrome and Safari).

I followed the 'solution' in the forum without success.

When I search "Google Earth Browser plugin" in the Finder, I find SEVEN matching this search under 'Type' in Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plugins... .but this 'genre' is associated with the plugins that are "Named" something else - for example, Adobe, DivX, Flash, Flip4Mac, etc. (weird).

  • How to uninstall Google Earth

    I use a mini iPad.

I have a number of applications that have been purchased or downloaded free of charge using what is now a defunct username.

I have to remove the apps and download them under my new username.

I was on the screen, hit land Google until it wobbles and press X and it has disappeared from the screen.

It is still installed and I can't get rid of it.

I tried to follow a set of instructions that indicate:

    Go to SETTINGS

    Find and tap APPLICATIONS

I have nothing that is APPLICATIONS on my SETTINGS MENU

    Any suggestions

    Dennis

I don't see why, that does not work, but try this. Settings > general > storage & use iCloud > storage > storage management. Let the list of load applications. Find Google Earth. Touch it and delete it in the next screen.
