Google Earth running on a vSphere comments

Hello

We have a number of users who need Google earth on computers for their guests.  These machines are running Windows 7 32 bit.  Note that these are not computers using VMWare view.

In the 1876 article, it says that google earth must be executed in OpenGL mode.  However this article was not updated for a year and referred to workstation 6 and 7 versions.  We run vSphere 4.1 update 2 with the latest tools installed.

The above article is always the source of optimul for more information or is there other available.  Is it possible to increase the default physical memory available for the video card to produce better results when rendering images?

Thank you very much

Graeme

You can increase the amount of video RAM on the virtual computer and see if it helps the application. See this article for more details:

  • Google Earth and camera running after sleep.

I closed the lid on my Macbook Pro late 2013 to put to sleep and awoke to find Google Earth and my camera running. The only apps I leave but no open Windows Mail and Chrome. I saved my system log to a text file, but can not find to search. I didn't save all newspapers. Never had this happen before. Could I have malware? There is a lot of activity in the mode 'sleep'! Check that your ... System Preferences > energy saver > annex > start or reactivate setting is off (no indicator check.)

Also check the box wake for network access is not marked.

Finally, make sure that the lock in this window is closed to avoid changes until you provide your administrator name and password.

If the problem persists even if your System... Preferences are configured correctly, it is possible.

You can check for malware using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac.

  • Google Earth do not support DirectX

I have installed Google Earth on my old desktop computer running Windows XP Professional. After finishing, I open it, displays the first message, Google earth is not supported graphics card in my computer when I check do not show this message again and the second message appears, "DirectX" mode not supported.
It gives 4 suggestions for correction:
    (1) set to "True color" (32 bit) color depth in display properties
    (2) start Google Earth after waiting a minute
    (3) close the other applications (especially if they use 3D)
    (4) download and install DirectX 9.0 c or higher by following the link

    Here is what happened:
    (1) I already had the "True Color" (32 bit) value
    (2) tried starting after a minute - same as before
    (3) no other application was open
    (4) downloaded DirectX according to the instructions

I always get the same error message. I found Googling it might be a problem with the graphics card drivers. I think the graphics card is a 8586 Intel graphics (I hope I got this right!).

It also makes no difference to the opening of Google Earth, however.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

In any case, I try to use the latest version of Google earth, but cannot use it and when I try to installed later in my desktop computer, run windows 7, it works fine.
I tried to download the previous version of google earth, version 6.2, I can install and use it very well.
It's that I would ask that this problem seems to be caused by windows, hardwars or Google earth?

  • Google Earth download causing starting problem

Hi, I have Toshiba Tecra S3 Windows XP. After that I downloaded Google Earth, he gave a msg of error blue screen on a problem and the need to stop to avoid damaging Windows. It starts now only insofar as the functions of wallpaper and mouse, not icons. Can reformat via HDD recovery, I'd lose all my data.  I don't know how to use the other HARD disk partition options. I tried to run ' explorer.exe task manager but get said there is no associated program with him and create an association in the Folder Options?  TA... MIke

    Hi Mike,.

-Where do you see those three options?

In the third option, I think it will just keep unchanged partitions, but the data will be formatted.

Mike, sorry I forgot something important; You should have the same service pack installed on both computers to use the CD of Windows XP PRO for the recovery console.

    Kind regards

  • Google Earth shift

    Hey guys,.

I seem to have a weird problem with google earth. When the laptop is running on battery power, GE is very smooth, when I Zoom in and out, or navigate. But as soon as I plug in the charger, it starts feels it zoom lag. If it's a power problem, should not be reversed? How can it go faster on the battery? Everyone has noticed this? I have Aspire S7 - 391 128 GB Core i5

Great news. Glad that you were able to get your problem is resolved.

  • W510 and google earth directX

    Hi all!

I recently received a w510 and I am overall happy with it, but have faced problems with DirectX applications. It is said that the graphic component can handle DX 9, but running for example Google Earth led to the freezing of the pilot.

I see that the graphics drivers included in the update package newer (2.08) have about a year. What is the problem? I don't want to start games on the Tablet, but the Basic applications like google earth is something I'd expect to be able to run on the road.

Also, I saw that HP released newer drivers for the graphics component (as of January 2013) but I am unable to install them. If you modify the inf for the correct subprovider file and you get an error the drivers, not digitally signed are not. And if I try to make a new shoe with digital signining disabled when I get to the screen where I choose an option with F numbers - the physical keyboard does not work (some drivers still don't load probaby) and I don't found no way to bring up a software keyboard, so I guess we can't access safe since the w510 same mode (and all windows tablets 8).

Problem solved. All this has happened because the pilots of shit.

I managed to install the most recent 9.14.1130 drivers (08/01/2013) which have been made available for HP Envy x 2.

To do that you must modify the inf file, and then clear the driver signature and install drivers manually.

Google earth now works without problem using DirectX and directX performance is also better.

I hope that Acer is making a new driver package which includes this driver soon.
