Video DV2755TX card problem

Hello

It's my first time here and I hope that someone can help me with this problem I have with my laptop.

Material

  • Computer HP laptop dv2755 TX
  • 4 GB of RAM (2 * 2 GB RAM SODIMM bars)
  • Intel core 2 Duo T8300 processor
  • NVIDIA geForce 8400 M GS

OPERATING SYSTEM

  • Vista Home Premium 32-bit

Problem

  • At random times, especially when you use the instensly of the card video (though not always good) I get a blank screen (the screen goes black for a few seconds (usually one or four seconds).)
  • The problem cannot be repeated or at least not systematically. The laptop used to give the screen empty after less than a minute of play InkBall (from Microsoft)
  • The message I get after that each fail, is that the video card in response is long and that vista recovered. I have no idea what that means and I can not find this error anywhere in the event viewer.
  • I tried to limit my use of the video card by changing the theme of the OS Vista standard (to offer the transperency effect) of vista home basic, which is the less graphically demanding, but the problem persists.
  • I have the latest driver for HP graphics card, but this is different from WHAT NVIDIA has on their website. However NVIDIA reminds me of HP and warns me that I use their video card driver and assume all of the problems that could result from this action.
  • I am aware that the 8400M series has a problem with the heating so I used HWMonitor V1.13 to get the temperature of the various components.
Here are the results:

  • ACPI---> TZS0 (42 degrees celsius) and TZS1 (42 degrees celsius)
  • Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T8300---> Core #0 (27 degrees celsius) and Core #1 (25 degrees celsius)
  • GeForge 8400 M GS---> GPU Core (52 degrees celsius)
  • HDD (41 degrees celsius)

These temperatures seem allright for a computer on Idle? When I'm runing several applications, it tends to become warmer. What are the max and the temperature average? I should look for? Again, this is in reference to the video card which, from what I've heard has heating problems. Also I do not know if these problems are causing Visual problems, I am experiencing. Thank you in advance for the support.

Its nothing associated with part of s/p of the device. Even if you update the drivers, it's a temporary solution. Its a problem with the graphics card and motherboard must be replaced. Contact HP and get it replaced under warranty if the unit is under warranty period.

    Hello guys,.

I send my PC official service this summer for a completely different matter (keyboard problem) and after she returned from the service that I started having this frustrating problem with my pc that I can't solve approximately 3-4 months. While gaming, I get this gel suddenly after a nod to the screen. After the screen black Windows prompts an error message that says as "video card is not responding and has successfully recovered." And the effects are not always the same. Black screen sometimes does not disappear until I closed and reopened my lit. Black screen sometimes becomes light blue orange same screen and disappears at all. Sometimes it causes a lot of programs exe (Te games, chrome, battle.net) crash and sometimes does not. Also, a note, sound keep coming while these things occur. So if I'm in a Skype call with someone I can keep talking. Finally, sometimes PC completely freezes stutters same sound until I have hard reset from the pc.

These accidents have recently started to happen very often. Especially when I play WoW.

    I tried the things:

-Clean inside my laptop and the fans.

-Back to the old version of the Nvidia drivers & and do a clean install.

-Back to Windows 7 Windows 10.

So, I'm quite sure that this is not a software problem. It must be a hardware failure.

    I noticed things:

-When it flashes get GPU usage is 0%.

-J' never have this issue while I am only on battery power. But I like unplayable 20-30 fps which is normal on the battery.

Also another funny, is after my pc is back to the service, it cannot detect my graphics integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000. He is told - not detected-on the BIOS and I can't install the driver because install gives an error message like "this pc can not meet the requirements.".

Another thing I tried was permutation and tried to RAM individually at different locations. No luck.

Today, I found a forum thread that says it can be solved by reducing the GPU voltage / shader clock because motherboard sometimes cannot feed the video card with enough voltage. But I can't underclock the same change in my video card shader and voltage clock of any overclocking tool. It is all greyed out and cannot be changed. I can only change clock GPU and memory clock. This tension thing makes sense to me because as I said I have never this questions while I'm only on battery power. I learned that this laptop automatically decreases the voltage GPU when it's on battery only. Is there a way to change the maximum voltage of my video card or not?

Sorry if I wrote wrong I just tried to be as brief as I can be all by giving as much information as I can.

I'm in a position of very desperate and out of options. If you have any idea or information, I'm waiting. Thank you.

So, I solved this problem on a few days ago. Never had blocked it again. I still don't know the cause, but it turns out that for some reason my GPU has cause of instability when running at full speed, so when I lowered the Base of only 25 MHz clock offset my blocks instantly stopped. I use NvidiaInspector, but I believe you can also use other tools to overclocking.

  • Start Windows Vista or graphics card problem problem

OK have a problem with Windows Vista here. Its pc of my grandmothers, only a year or two. (office) My brother went in safe mode and came back with a restore point. He said it worked, but now, the screen goes black trying to open windows.

    What's happening...
It starts showing the status of the drives and ram memory and asks me if I want to install through F10 (which works) then it goes to the "Windows was extinguished not correctly." And it gives the offer of
    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt
    Normal windows startup
The security mode through the long load upward and then a black screen and an arrow of big white mouse I can move.
Normal windows opens with the quick bar Windows... then nothing. Just a black screen and a white mouse arrow. Of Cntrl Alt Del does nothing and only thing that makes something happen hit SHIFT 5 times. It causes a beep and a window opens asking if I want to use StickyKeys. Other then that I had nothing.
I'll try to find a Windows Vista dvd to repair.
Part of me wonders if it is a screwing display driver. As I said some stuff shows up to save for windows, so it's a small chance, but to think what anyone.

    Hello

If you start Windows, see a desk white or black with no icons, video card problems are the most common cause of this problem.

    Try the following troubleshooting steps:

Method 1: Access your computer and reinstall your current video driver

Uninstall your video driver and allow Windows to re - install:

    1. click on start and type device manager in the search box

    2. click on device under Programs Manager

    3. Select the video driver and uninstall

4 restart your computer to allow Windows to reinstall the driver

Note: Once the driver is reinstalled, you may need to restart your computer to complete the installation. In addition, you will also need to adjust the resolution of the display to its previous value.

Method 2: Turn on the video resolution (640 x 480) and then update your video card driver

If the resolution of the registry problems does not work, perform the following steps to activate the video resolution:

    1. Click the Start button, click the arrow next to Shut Down and then click on restart.
    2. Press F8 before the Windows logo appears.
    3. In the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to select activate video low resolution (640 × 480) and press ENTER.
    4. Log your computer with a user account with administrator rights.

If you can see your desktop, there is a problem with your video card. Try to update your video card driver. For more information,.

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

Method 3: Start your computer in Mode safe mode and disable your video card

If activation low resolution and then update your video card driver do not work, perform the following troubleshooting steps to disable your video card driver:

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Note: Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed

When your computer restarts, if you can see your desktop, there is a problem with your video card. Try to update your video card driver. For more information:

Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work correctly

Method 5: If these steps do not resolve your problem, try to boot mode safe again and follow the steps in the system restore to restore your computer to an earlier point in time.

    What is system restore?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-is-system-restore

Note: System Restore affects file system of Windows, programs and registry settings. It can also make changes to scripts, files, batch and other types of executable files created under any user account on your computer. System Restore does not affect personal files, such as e-mail, documents, or photos, so it cannot help you restore a deleted file. If you have backups of your files, you can restore files from a backup.

If this still does not have the problem, contact your computer manufacturer or the technical support for further assistance.

    It will be useful.

  • Dual display (x 2)-l' one is PINK/PURPLE in color, how can I check for errors of video/graphics card?

I'm trying to implement 2 screens (extended desktop mode) and when I connect them both, however, I got a picture on two screens, one of them is color purple/pink.

I have swithced monitors around, it's NOT either of the monitors, they bot work very well... and the cablesARE guaranteed in the monitors and computer ports.

What is the video/graphics card which is the problem?... If so, how can I check these errors?

    Thanks to all who respond!

Try changing the cables, if they are of the same type.

I think that the problem is a damaged cable.

  • Qosmio G40-10 s: graphics card problem

    Hello.

I have a Toshiba Qosmio G40 laptop 10s with a Nvidea 8600 M GT grafixs card. I was playing a game when it locked up and pasted what I would describe as flashing red/green 'Matrixy' search screen.

He then a blue screen and trys to reeboot.
He tries to start windows, but once again the top matrix. If it loads to the top, it is in 16 bit color with red dots all over the screen.

I am sure that the GPU is fried... and I was wondering what I can do? It's been 5 months out of warranty now.

I read on some forums that there have been a lot of problems with this Nvidea card... Is there anything I can do outside my warranty period with what there is a possibly faulty card in it from the beginning.

It will cost a lot of money to get it repaired, but its too good a laptop to let go to waste.

    Any help is very appreciated.

    Hello

You also have these lines on an external monitor?
If so, there seems to be a graphics card problem and it must be replaced.

These overheating problems also occur if you use the nVidia display drivers directly. Toshiba drivers are pre-tested and don't overheat your system.

But I think you need professional help. You should contact an authorized service provider and talk to the technicians. They will help you! :)

  • TouchSmart HP Envy 15-j078ca - sound card problems

    Hello!

I have a HP Envy 15-j078ca running windows 8.1 touchsmart and, recently, I noticed that my audio is static/crackling noises. A test, I plugged my head phones to see if it was a speaker problem or a problem of sound card and audio in my headphones was also static noises.

What I did: I followed the advice on another thread that had me uninstall the drivers and hand it to reset my bios settings can have my drivers to reinstall but I found that my audio worked perfectly! ... for about 2 hours then my cell phone was dead silent so I got this back a few days and the audio was fine again... for a few hours before he began to do staic noises again.

  • Satellite A300-2 TB-Ethernet network card problem

    Hi all

I have a laptop Satellite A300-2 CT with Windows XP SP3 for a year. There is a problem in the network ethernet card, I think.

If I connect my computer to a wireless network, all right. However, if I connect the computer to a wired network via the ethernet card, problems begin.

A little later after the connection. 'something' is happening and my windows theme changes to "classic", plus none of the applications that uses the beginning of the soundcard NOT working. In addition, the system slows down a lot for all the one or two minutes. When I check running applications during the"slow", I see that deferred procedure calls takes a lot of time processor.

Problem does not end with this, after that I disconnect the ethernet connection and restart my computer, the application of the wireless (Atheros) adapter takes control of wireless connections, so I can not connect wireless networks I wanted. I have to restart the computer to resolve this problem.

I've updated the network ethernet card driver, nothing changes.

In conclusion, I think the network ethernet card has a problem and maybe it is in conflict with other hardware (such as the sound card).

Y at - it suggestions to solve this problem?

    Thank you.

    Hi alp37,

I have never heard of this issue, and I think all you can do is update the LAN and the audio driver. The two you can download from the official website of Toshiba:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

If it doesn t work I think I think it is a software problem I would recommend reinstalling Windows Toshiba recovery disc. Who can restore the factory settings, and then you can test it again.

  • video capture card

We would use a video streaming with our new Compaq Elite 8300 SFF.  Which video capture card are recommended for this model?

You can try the following cards:

    • AMD Radeon HD 6350 (512 MB)
    • AMD Radeon HD 7450 (1 GB)
    • NVIDIA NVS 300 (512 MB)
    • NVIDIA NVS 310 (512 MB)

  • Resolution is dependent on the video graphics card memory?

Resolution is dependent on the video graphics card memory? If that's true then how much resolution a 2 GB card can support? I mean on what map I'll be able to run a game like 'NFS RUN' on a resolution higher, if I have 2 cards with the same specifications but difference is 1 GB and 2 GB, I don't speak of GDDR3 128 bit NVDI GT 440. ?

Resolution is dependent on the GPU, and not on the installed memory. The memory will help the screen refresh more quickly, and video help in smoother race.

    According to the specs here:

    http://www.GeForce.com/hardware/desktop-GPUs/GeForce-gt-440-channel/specifications

You should be able to get a maximum digital resolution of 2560 x 1600 and an analog-resolution 2048 x 1536 (VGA). This assumes of course that your monitor will be very high. The highest card ira is limited by the capabilities of the monitor also.

Thus, the memory card more than video, that you, smooth graphics should work, but it will have no effect on the resolution.
