  Try this. Right click on the desktop, select Properties and then click on the tab 'screen saver'. In the screen saver box, click the chevron arrow to launch the menu drop-down and select the length of inactivity to wait until your system displays the screen saver one uncheck or check the box, depending on whether or not you want a password prompt during the recovery. Click on the button "Power" in the power of the monitor"area and on the page that has followed, in the sleep of the system box, select idle time you want before the system goes into standby mode."   Hi, you had asked me :-) I'm sure that you have a window that the last time I looked was red. Quitting smoking is on the left side and the installation is done on the right side. Take a look just above or beside the Word Quit. There should be a small box "accept." Don't forget to click on the first (it is hard to see sometimes), then on the link to install will be active.

  Well, to me it sounds like a battery problem
  Why you say that the battery must be good?
  Have you checked it or because the technician?

  In most cases if the battery is faulty then the laptop would have no power until it would be connected to the power adapter.

  So I think (but that's just my personal opinion) the battery must be enabled (by technician, ASP) and if necessary should be replaced.

  You need a greater power to support a PCI-E power connector 6 pin. Try a Corsair CX500, or CX600. The image below is that of a NVIDIA GTX 650 which shows where to connect the PCI-E 6-pin connector to the graphics card.  Most of the HP PC which have a greater power or 460 watt have they support for the PCI-E power connector 6-pin.

  LED flashes orange?
  If you mean the DC-in LED if it flashes orange if the output voltage of the adapter is abnormal or if power outages.
  If you mean the Power LED so it flashes orange while the computer stops if you select sleep mode.
  If you mean battery LED if it flashes orange when the battery reaches a low battery indicator.

  I think you should check if the AC adapter has no malfunction and provide enough power.

  I think you should also try another solution that I found in this forum.
  So to remove the battery and unplug the AC of the laptop and wait form (10-15 min) then several times the battery and connect the AC to the laptop and try to start the laptop.
  Eventually, it helps.

  I ended up taking my laptop to a tech repair shop and found out that the problem was the motherboard - I had to pay for a new part and pay for this service, luckily the place is a fair price and only cost me the price of a new laptop. It sucks that I have had the computer for less than two years and I have to do an important replacement, but at least I know never buy another laptop HP again! Good luck!

  Welcome to the Forum.  Sorry to hear of your problem power button on your HP Pavilion g7-1135sd.

  In a situation like this.  You have removed the battery and tried to push the power button with out.

  Have you tried while he was not powered as well.  So basically, remove the battery and hold the power button for 40 seconds with the power cord not plugged in.  Then replace the battery followed by power cord.  Then press the power button again.  If it does not at this stage I would contact HP support by phone.
