VISA makes about LV freeze

Hello

I use VISA read & write to interface a USB converter to FTDI FT232BL series. The FTDI driver created a virtual COM port.

Everything worked fine with a few weeks with 8.51 LabVIEW 8.0 and 8.2. But all of a sudden my VI froze when I ran my stop code.

Fortunately, I was able to track it down to close VISA, with poster simply he is running (using the symbol of a yellow bulb), but never ends. I can close the other windows of LV except the Project Explorer and the VI running at a higher level. Red Abort-button is clickable, but shows no effect.

Open the VISA Session Monitor VI in the labview\vi.lib\Utility\visa.llb shows no VISA public sessions.

When I kill LabVIEW by using the task manager of Windows, a different process LabVIEW.exe stays there (it says that I don't have the right to stop him) and a new LabVIEW session hangs at the time.

I activated "sessions VISA narrow auto ' but it does not seem to make a difference

Someone is experiencing similar difficulties?

I tried VISA 4.3 and 4.4 with LabVIEW 8.51 on Win2000. Also, it comes as an .exe built on another PC and use also to a different GUI with the same interface hardware screws (those with VISA opportunity open/r/w/close)...

concerning

Marco

He points to a blockage in the version of the dll FTDI.

What version do you use? Have you checked for an update on the FTDI web?

  • Cookies from Firefox make my computer freezes & must be reseeded

Firefox no longer works on my machine (Windows 8.1), he opened in tabs I used last, but there is no picture displayed and the computer froze, making it necessary to restart by pressing the button. Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't make any difference, so I uninstalled and just started using Chrome (no problem). When optimizing my computer using CC Cleaner, he stopped trying to erase the "Firefox Cookies", also freeze my computer everything and makes it necessary to restart by pressing the off button. I tried to reboot in safe mode, but the same things happen. Please tell us how to locate and delete cookies from Firefox. Thank you

It might be simpler to delete all cookies from Firefox completely by removing the data file which is the holder. Firefox will make a new.

Wouldn't it be better if you actually need save one of these cookies, but it sounds as if you want to clean them all.

    If you have Firefox:

Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window showing the various folders and files.

Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

    • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
    • (menu bar) File > Exit

Break while Firefox finishing his cleaning can remove cookies.sqlite

If you do not have Firefox:

Copy the following text and paste it into the search box in Windows, or the Run dialog box (available on the start page of Windows 8.1 lower with all the small icons) or in a window of Windows Explorer address bar and press ENTER:

    %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

You can have a folder named semi randomly here, or you might have several records. In the case of multiple, repeat the operation if necessary.

Click on the folder and delete the cookies.sqlite

I will try to use the omega drivers?

    Hello

It s not advised not to use the graphics driver from Toshiba. The other drivers don't support the overheating protection. The games are a high performance programs. If these applications are running on the laptop all devices must operate with maximum performance and produce a lot of heat. The high temperature could be responsible for this gel and close downs.

I read in the forum that you can install the other drivers (not Toshiba) at your own risk.
I think you should check the fans for dust and debris.
Sometimes the cooling modules may not cool properly because the dust and, therefore, these problems occur.
Additional do not forget that there is enough free space around the laptop to the airflow correctly

    ===========================================
Usually a single layer 4.7 GB DVD white held an hour of high
quality video. With compression, some programs are capable of
the extension of this period. I don't know exactly what is DVD Maker
capable of in that regard I think 150 minutes it is really pushing.

Large and complex projects usually cause problems. Best bet IMHO
would be to create several small projects and publish (save) each
a WMV format movie to a folder on your hard drive.

Then import the WMV files collected in DVD Maker and each of them
becomes a scene (chapter), you can have up to 18 scenes.

Without a doubt... video editing and DVD burning can be a frustrating business.

    Good luck with your project.

  • Make the loop freezes

Hello.  I spent the last day or two, trying to figure out the best way to run my game loop.  Here's what I have to present based on examples I found. Thing is that the Simulator hangs during something like half a second when he makes a sound.  Does not matter if I use an alert or j2me stuff.  Note that this works on the storm.

So I wonder if this method is wrong period.  I suppose I could mute for much of the development and use only on the storm but I'm worried that I'm going down the wrong path period.   I'm also surprised that javaloader is still requiring a reboot of the storm when I download, final COD looks like only 45 k.

One thing having a TimerTask run so often (like you have with 33 milliseconds) and using Timer.schedule () is that late in running PPP executions all subsequent executions. Which means that if something (like audio) failed the system and delay your TimerTask, the animation (or you) will be very smooth, then he will have to "catch up". You can try to move to Timer.scheduleAtFixedRate () and add this at the beginning of your TimerTask.run)

    long currentTimeMillis = System.currentTimeMillis();long scheduledExecutionTime = scheduledExecutionTime();if ( currentTimeMillis - scheduledExecutionTime >= period ) {

        return;}

Where in your case would be TickLength. Basically, it is saying that if execution is late enough where a subsequent run might have taken care of him already, then go this iteration because it will get handled by another.

  • Desktop Windows 7 freezes as soon as I log in, then the analysis of disk is automatically cancelled

Last month, my office has been freezing almost whenever I connect, I rebooted my laptop or close and turned on afterwards. The way I know that it is frozen is when my wifi icon is the blue loading circle and when I right click on my slider and it is located in the blue loading circle. Then after I do a restart hard (hold the power button and back - turn on my laptop), after the screen usual "the computer did not turned off properly", I see "scan disk" screen Even if I touch any key so analysis can run and maybe find the problem, the analysis is automatically cancelled. I pass this cycle at least twice before being able to use my computer properly.

I've had my laptop for 4 years. It is a Dell Inspiron N5010 Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit Intel Core i3 processor. For safety, I got Kaspersky Internet Security for one year. Is there anything that can be done to prevent it happening again?

  • Windows 7 keeps freezing

My computer is having a bit of a moment, a long time, I guess I just install windows after trying about 3 or 4 times and everything is installed and was very well somehow, I had a big problem where all literally a few seconds my computer crashes and he'd jump up in the middle of my screen that windows explore has stopped working. Then, it looks like windows Explorer restarts and black flash so it would be nice again and it's a vicious circle, after a week of looking for the answer, I've read about the practice and sfc scannow scan that checks for corrupt additional files it would come back and say that it finds a damaged file but could not fix. I did not understand how it has been altered it was a brand new facility but anyway, I looked for a solution and has seen some talking about substituting a double no corrupted from another computer windows 7, I took the file from my other computer and finally managed to replace the file. I have re-run the sfc scannow and she came back, 100% fine which ceased from windows Explorer has stopped working error, but now my computer just seems to freeze again but without saying windows Explorer has stopped working then after a while to wait for me and by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete there are still no error come back for another few minutes and repeat the cycle. It's really preventing me from being able to use my computer, I ran ccleaner, avg and malwarebytes all 100% fine and clean I ran also drive spelling error found nothing memory diagnosis 100% fine I have no idea what it could be there are only two things I can think to mention 1. I have 2 windows updates I can't do they fail each time for Microsoft office 2007 update for the suites and one for the office, they just keep saying error try again and never work. 2. I have a hybrid hard drive ssd and hd sshd I don't know if my trying to load windows 7 on it 6 or 7 times has nothing to do with him or not, it's brand new and it's the second time I tried to install windows 7 on it. In any case it's really hinder me if anyone has a solution I would really appreciate it thanks

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

What antivirus/antispyware/security products do you have on the machine? Include
everything you've ALWAYS had on this machine, including those you have uninstalled (they
remains of leave behind which can cause strange problems).

    Follow these steps:

Try these to erase corruption and missing/damaged file system repair or replacement.

Start - type this in the search box-> find COMMAND at the top and RIGHT CLICK – RUN AS ADMIN

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded
on your system. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is
Poster: load address of the driver, description, version, product name,.
company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit Maker as replacements and system manufacturer of device which are
the most recent. Control Panel - write - graphics card - device manager
the brand and complete model of your video card - double click - tab of the driver-
Note the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing
MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard
If there are 3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers
    you have.

Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restore)
and site (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get the manufacturer and device
their latest versions. (Look for the system to update the BIOS, Chipset and software updates
    Site of the manufacturer here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN -.
    REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you are
installation actually appears. This is because that some rollback of drivers before the
later is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot.
Make sure that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW to the device makers DO NOT RUN THEIR
SCANNER - check manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using
the above methods is preferable to ensure the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system
    and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable driver facilities

  • Windows Update windows 10 freeze when Skype opens... again

    First posted about it here

    http://community.Skype.com/T5/Windows-desktop-client/Skype-sign-in-freezes-Windows-10/m-p/4302090

Update my drivers worked, but last night there was a windows update and now Skype loading makes my pc freeze again.

Have updated the video drivers, all others are as current as they can get as far as I can tell.

    Dxdiag included

My apologies if there is something simple that I forget somewhere, but tried the few steps I know not for you to try.

Update: got it working again, here's how.

1: re-installed drivers from the chipset of the old file to download, I got.

2: re-installed Skype with an OLD install file, I had.

    3: Skype UNINTALL

4: Reinstall Skype from the old file again.

    He is currently working.

  • Why google/youtube videos download so slowly & then freeze during playback?

YouTube videos have been download slowly and for a while, but now, Google videos, make too much freezing.  Videos on Hulu are a little better; they freeze, but after a few seconds to start up again.  I have deleted cookies, history, etc & freed disk space.  I have a Dell laptop w/Vista which is about 4 years old.  Was having a problem w/be minced, but changed to Aero Classic & now videos play smoothly. they just do not play throughout 90% of the time. Toured the break of the video until the loading bar has been filled, but now, even that does not work. Videos play up to a certain point and then won't go away, even if I try to click before. Audio & display are ok.  Sought the answers elsewhere online, but thought that perhaps here, I could find a Vista user who might have this same problem.  Thanks for your suggestions or help.

    Hello.

What browser do you use to read online youtube videos?

The following resolution assumes that you are using Internet Explorer and therefore the steps mentioned in the link given below applies to Internet Explorer.

Problems playing the videos by using Internet Explorer

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2532294

  • Windows Movie Maker: Another user is running Windows Movie Maker on your computer. __Windows Media Player: "unresponsive."

Windows Movie Maker does not respond as expected. Everytime I open the program to make videos, it freezes constantly and closes. This happens 2 or 3 times until it opens any and said that "another user runs the program on this computer. Close the other session before continuing with this one. " So far, I did a disk cleanup. The same problem happening to my Windows Media Player, I it opens and closes.

    Hi Raisa269,

You have a third-party CD/DVD burning software installed on the computer?

If you have any third-party CD/DVD burning software installed, then try to uninstall it and check if it works.

You can see the following link for Uninstall or change a program:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/uninstall-or-change-a-program

If the steps above do not work, then you can try the following steps and check if you can open Windows Movie maker.

    1. click on Ctrl + Alt + Delete

    2. Click Start Task Manager

    3. If Windows Movie Maker in the window that opens, click on end task

    4. If you don't see it in this window, go to the process tab

5 examples of WMM (Windows Movie Maker) in the list (search for MOVIEMK.exe)

    6. click on end process

    7. restart the computer

If the steps above do not work, try to restore default Windows Movie Maker settings by following the link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/restore-default-Windows-Movie-Maker-settings

    Hope this information is useful.
