  • Vista SP2 not recognizing not not SD card with the external drive

I have a Dell PC running Vista SP2 32 bit, and I just bought a card reader IOGear (GFR204SD, USB key with slots for SD/MicroSD cards). With the help of one of my Android devices micro SDHC cards (both brand Sandisk 16GB, I have a Droid and a tablet of Sanyo), this USB drive will not be detected, but when I click on the icon that appears in my computer, it just says "Please insert disk into drive h:" even if the card is inserted. Cards read very well if I mount them by the smartphone, but not on this device. The IOGear online chat person was no help for me until my connection has been lost, and before I asked them once again, I thought I would see if it was a Vista problem.

Every search I did shoot a lot Info for XP or SP1, but not to SP2. And in Device Manager there is no yellow triangle exclamation the device seems to settle but the card itself does not seem to be save.

  • Satellite L10 - battery not recognized by Vista MS

    Hello

I use MS Vista on my Satellite L10 and everything works great except my battery which is not recognized by Vista. There is just an unknown device in my equipment manager. In the section on the homepage Toshiba drivers I couldn't find a driver or other instructions. The MS Hotline told me this isn't their but question Toshibas.

I hope that this forum is someone who can help me solve the problem. I just want to know if my battery has enough power for 20 minutes or 2 hours and I really hate it if my laptop is suddenly out of power.

    Thanks in advance.
    Christoph

    Hello

You have installed Vista on the L10?
Wow I know Satellite L10 is not Vista capable and you should be happy that this OS works without big worries on this Satellite phone.

However, I recommend the Vista update to the last State, to install the compatible chipset from Intel page.

But I assume that the BIOS on this laptop is not fully Vista capable that this question therefore appears on the L10.

  • Duplex not recognized under Vista 64-bit printing accessory

I recently had to replace my old computer with an HP Pavilion a6700f running Windows Vista Home Premium 64 - bit SP1.

I got my 7410 HP all-in-One printer connected and operating, the latest software HP installed and checked for updated drivers, firmware or Windows updates to date. Everything is up-to-date.

However, my two-sided printing accessory is not recognized. I tried to do an update of the parameters, but the accessory does not appear in the drop-down menus.

I learned by HP Technical Support that it is a Windows problem, but I can't quite believe that even Microsoft would come out an operating system does not recognize the material of the major manufacturer.

Is that what everyone knows about this problem? Is this really a Windows glitch?  If so, is there a workaround solution that will allow me to do automatic duplex printing?

    pdef1949 wrote:

Bob sent me an email with the patch, but I'm not sure I'm reading it correctly because the patch does not work. I got an error message that the printer driver has not been installed and he gave me a window to select options. I think it installs just the drivers of Bob wants to replace.

In the e-mail to Bob, he said save the attachment as % temp%\hpo7x00t.gpd.  I don't know where to put this, and this is perhaps why the patch has not yet worked.

Can someone tell me with certainty where to save the file?

You just need to save the DPG file to a temporary location.  Folder is the location for temporary files of the system, it refers to a directory.  If for some reason it doesn't, you can do the following to the administrative command prompt:

    mkdir c:\temp

    [save the gpd c:\temp\hpo7x00t.gpd]

    then in the copy command:

    copy c:\temp\hpo7x00t.gpd c:

The Vista installation disc is a DVD. Apparently, you don't have a DVD player. You would need to purchase/install a DVD-ROM or DVD - RW to install Vista. Are you sure that your hardware supports Vista before doing this?

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

We need to collect information to this issue.
When you go into the Device Manager, the USB controller is displayed as working properly or does have a yellow exclamation mark on it?
What is the error "USB device not recognized" appear - what happens when the mnessage appears?
You have restarted the computer? (I know, stupid question, but some people don't do that)
The same thing happens if the computer is running on battery or AC power?
