Vista - Unable to uninstall Powershell updates

The upgrade from Vista Home to Vista Ultimate. Scan says to uninstall Windows PowerShell can't find that PowerShell listed in the list of installed upddates where she is supposed to appear first. Ditto for the number mentioned in other forums. What I see is the list of patches and undates with name KBXXXXXX - no specific program like PowerShell. Is there a switch to display the name of program of PowerShell in this list? PowerShell is being hidden? Do not know how to proceed.

  • I am running vista home premium. Office is uninstalled. Updates to the office to make mistakes. Just to hide these updates (3).

    The update error is 80070641.

    Hi LinaA_794,

    ·         You did changes to the computer before the show?

    ·         You are able to install some other updates or get the same error?

If office is uninstalled and office updates are available, you can choose to hide updates.

If you want to install updates, follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software .

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable the antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network at the time the anti-virus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Put the computer in a clean boot State to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the link step 7 to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 3: You can also manually install updates (KB number) by downloading from the Microsoft Download Center.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

Method 4: Follow the steps in the article.

Folders that have uninstall as part of the name (for example $NtUninstallKB282010$ who reside in C:\windows (hidden files) are window Hot difficulty updating folders/files) can be removed safely (providing ever, you wish to uninstall the updates). I recommend you leave these records for a period of at least one month to make sure that the update works correctly.

  • Vista SP2 32-bit, Windows Update continues to install KB979683 and then re-list as a new "important update available"

Automatic updates of Windows installs KB979683, and then in the next update checking, it is listed under "important update available". He repeated every day for three weeks.

Under 'View Update History', he shows again and again KB979683 installation successfully.

Under 'updates installed, he said, "no update is installed on this computer". So I can't download it manually on my desktop, uninstall the update, restart in safe mode and reinstall manually. Also, when I tried to install manually in safe mode without deleting the file, I received the error 0X8007043c.

I tried stopping the windows update service, and then delete all files in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution > DataSstore and C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution > download, then by restarting the service, but it did not help.

I've updated and run Malwarbytes Anti-Malware 1.46 and AVG 9.0.829, but found no threat.

I use windows, as well as automatic daily scans with AVG firewall (manual scans with Malwarebytes: daily).

I don't know if it's important, but I'm under IE8, version 8.0.6001.18882, 256 bit zero versions updates. I have seen a recent update was available for IE8 (KB982381) but when you try to run manually, he said that the update does not apply to my system.

    Help, please!

  • Vista cannot properly configure security updates

From the Windows update site Lexmark driver download, Vista fails to set up new security updates. so they keep download every time I turn on my system and then fail to set up the next time I start up.

The restore point created when I downloaded the drivers Lexmark has been deleted, so I can't restore my system.

Vista seems to work ok, but I'm afraid I do not have the latest security.

I appreciate the thoughts and recommendations.

Go to the Lexmark device and try to restore the device driver to the version that was functioning before the installation of Windows Update.  Then see if the problem is resolved.

If this does not work, try to uninstall the update of the Lexmakr driver in the start menu / Control Panel / programs and features / updates installed and then reboot and see if that solves the problem.

If this does not work, go to Lexmakr and get the latest drivers for your system and the versions of Vista and install instead of what you currently have.  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you do it for the Lexmark device), get the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you need to disable the autopilot from Windows Update updates as follows: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

Windows Vista unable to launch Java based application for example Samsung phone mobile file management software Kies, iPhone iTunes and trading stations.

I had uninstalled all the old version of Java and downloaded the java last official website of Java and tried to reinstalled several times. Java can be installed successfully but the Java application or Java-based software may not be launched or opened.

Also, for one of the web based Java software (for example the stock/mapping platform forex at ProRealTime.com), when I hover my mouse over the bar (lower right next to the time bar), tasks the Java icon just disappears.

I searched high and low for a solution for more than a year now and nothing works.

I think it's the fault of Windows OS and not the Java or Java applications. I had checked that my Java has been installed correctly this way. But Java-based software would be launched just don't!

How is it that some machines running windows vista, when the router is updated or changed, they show "limited or local only" when you then reconnect wireless... nothing else was changed on those computers and other devices can connect ok?

    Hello

Each router is assigned to the specific address (called IP address or IP address). And each router maintains its own database (called as base of router) to follow the networking devices communicate with him. When the router is changed, the particular router is unable to detect the device, especially the network card to communicate with the computer.  Since he does not have details of the database of network devices, communicate with him.
