    I left my computer on overnight to come on this morning to find the blue screen of death saying IRQL not less or equal - I tried access through safe mode, but I get PAGE FAULT IN NON PAGED AREA. I tried and it was crossed by the last setting but I just got IRQL not less or equal - it's the next day, I quit a game on last night though.

    Have you recently updated the video driver or a service update update it? Try restarting with the VGA driver or last known good configuration.

  • Satellite C850-1NU - BSOD with Page fault in non paged area error

    So basically I was looking through the web on my laptop, and then suddenly I got a blue screen of death.
    It said Page fault in nonpaged area.

    Some people say it means that the RAM could be faulty.
    Is this true and if it is faulty should I take it back to PC world where I bought it?

    Thanks ;)

    Hello

    The BSOD could be caused by system problems or malfunction of the equipment.

    .. and Yes; the BSOD containing the paginated Page Fault in any area error could be related to memory problems, but it could also be a temporal problem that appeared one last time

    But if this BSOD will appear in the future for the umpteenth time, I recommend you contact the service partner to verify the material.

  • NVidia updates causing the blue screen in Windows XP.

    I have two different desktop computers running Windows XP. Both have NVidia graphics cards. I recently downloaded Microsoft updates on a computer and noticed blue screen on shut down, page non paged area error code 50. It seems to suggest a problem with the display adapter. I tried several bugs to fix, but it persists most of the time. I assumed that it was unique to this computer until I downloaded the updates on my second computer, which I hadn't used in the month. All of a sudden I wake up a blue screen that is similar to booting with similar suggestion, it is the display adapter driver. NV4_DISP.dll in this case. What I noticed about this "update" is an update which is optional for NVidia and AC97. I downloaded both, but noted that they were dated 2003. I worked my way around the blue screen when starting in safe mode and cancelled the NVidia driver for... 2006! This was the driver I had installed from the Web of NVidia site, some time ago. The AC97 driver showed also a problem in the device driver, so I rolled back and things worked. I think that Microsoft sent an update for the drivers of video card NVidia and AC97 Codec which is damaged or outdated. This is not unique to Windows XP that others seem to experience it in Windows Vista and 7. My video cards are the two NVidia, but different models, which adds credibility to my theory. Any ideas or solutions?

    1. after making back the driver, change your configuration of automatic update of the automatic for the only Notify ("notify but not...") ") setting.

    2. open IE (only) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 & run it in DEFAULT difficulty and modes and AGGRESSIVE, and then restart your computer. [1]

    3. thereafter, NEVER approve the download (or install) updates offered by Windows Update driver, just "hide". Download all the NECESSARY updated driver from the device or computer manufacturers' download pages ONLY.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    [1] full Disclosure: the difficulty operating in AGGRESSIVE mode will remove your update history but not list the updates installed in Add/Remove Programs (Windows XP) or installed updates.
    KB978262, KB971468, KB975560, KB978251, KB979099 and KB890830
    Hi Randy Gauthier Leclerc,.
    Could you give us the exact error message you get started?
    Are you able to boot to the desktop?
    Were you running any system restore after installing these updates?
    If you are able to boot to the desktop, we can edition all updates then install them one by one and check what update causes the update. We can avoid the update conflict by doing this.
    It is a possibility that one of the updates is at the origin of the conflict. I advise you to uninstall all updates and check. You can install these updates one by one, then check update is conflicted and you can avoid this particular update.
    You have installed for a list of the latest updates, follow the steps below:
    1. click on start and in the search bar type Windows Update and press ENTER.
    2. click on "View Update History".
    3. now click on installed updates.
    4. right click on the update you want to uninstall, and then press Ok.
  • Blue screen caused by Page fault in non paged error
  • Update caused Windows Blue Screen of Death. Suggested fix does not work.
    In February, my Sony Vaio laptop has been updated automatically by Microsoft and now it does not start.  I followed all the instructions in this thread
    (http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/thread/73cea559-ebbd-4274-96bc-e292b69f2fd1/#e9b28c45-635c-4adf-8d24-817bf39c207b)
    but when I get to the point where I need to type some commands, uninstall, My Favorites keys displayed on the screen and I'm unable to type the codes or move forward.  As you can tell long time between when this problem occurred and that now, I gave up in frustration for a while but I simply could not live without my cell phone any longer and I'd rather not pay someone to fix this.  Any ideas or suggestions?
    Hello subvertdonthurt,
    All if suggestions published in the forum http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/thread/73cea559-ebbd-4274-96bc-e292b69f2fd1/#e9b28c45-635c-4adf-8d24-817bf39c207b do not work for you, do a restore of the system from the Recovery Console.
    Here's how:
    Step i. access the recovery by using the OS CD console. As already suggested, you must have your OS CD to repair. (Or the image that you created the instructions above).
    To run the Recovery Console from the startup of Windows XP or the Windows XP CD-ROM diskettes, follow these steps:
    Insert the diskette of starting Windows XP in the floppy drive, or insert the Windows XP CD into the CD-ROM drive and restart the computer.
    Click to select all of the options required to start the computer from the CD-ROM drive if you are prompted to do so.
    When the "Welcome" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console and follow the process until you get to the recovery console command prompt.screen.
    STAGE II. At the Recovery Console prompt, type the following lines (in blue), and then press ENTER after.
    1 cd-(Note: between "cd" and "------" there should be an 'empty space' or still command does not work)
    2 cd system ~ 1\_resto ~ 1
    If it gives an error "Access denied" when accessing the folder, follow the method below
    CD.
    CD windows\system32\config
    ren system system.bak
    output
    Restart the computer, and then follow step I.
    3 dir
    When you hit it will list all records of points of restoration as rp1, rp2... we see the last restore point to copy the file from a recent backup. If the restore points have more than one page, then you keep pressing the key to display the last restore point folder. Use the other to the last restore point. (the last restore point is maybe damaged)
    4 cd rp {the next to the last restore point only.} (Note: example: cd rp9, if rp9 is the next to the last restore, point where the last restore point n = 9)
    5 cd snapshot
    Now, the command prompt will look like this c:\system~1\_resto~1\rp9\snapshot > ( Note: restore point 9A assumed for the clarity of the content, you must go to the next to the last restore point folder, as described in the previous lines) now according to the error message to copy the appropriate file in the restore point folder.
    6 copy _registry_machine_system c:\windows\system32\config\system
    7. Type Exit, and then press ENTER.
    I hope this helps.
  • Qosmio F60 - Toshiba updates causing the blue screen (BSOD)
    Hello
    I applied updates based on the recommendations of the Toshiba Service Center app on my F60 and now it starts with windows and then displays the BSOD. Updates have been a nVidia display driver and an update of the BIOS, published on 11/10/2010.
    I did a windows 7 system restore but problem still occurring. Managed to get to a command prompt, so I can back up my files at least.
    Someone else had this problem? You fear that the updates may have fried the equipment? Advice on how to solve this problem before you do a restore system with my Toshiba recovery disks?
    Hey,.
    > I did a restore of windows 7
    What kind of system restore do you exactly? To restore to an earlier point or a new complete installation of Windows 7 using the Toshiba Recovery disk?
    You can also start your laptop in safe mode?
    I also made the new updates my Qosmio F60 and everything works fine. I can t view this problem.
    In the worst case you must reinstall Windows again recovery disk. It seems that something has confused the Windows registry can therefore start t.
  • Gettings error message: error in the non paged area error page
    I have a Satellite M45-S265 with Windows XP. Even if I moved abroad and then went home, I haven't lost my recovery CD!
    However, my computer went to compensation under a policy of service from Best Buy. She returned with a new card, new keyboard, new drive hard (in white), new CD player and I don't know what to another new. I guess the 3rd global environment was pretty hard on this (dust, moisture, heat) so it takes a lot of new things.
    Now, when I use the recovery CD, it seems to do everything OK, until he asks me my settings. After settings, it tells me it will reboot and it does, and when she returns to the top he gets a blue screen with the error 'page in the non paged area failure. "
    Technical information of the blue screen:
    Stop: 0 x 00000050 (0xA9A35A00, 0 x 00000000, 0 x 00000000, 0x805C52BA)
    win29a51.sys address A9A35A00, at A9A35A00, date stamp 00000000
    When I restart, the windows looks like it will start up. Can I get a pretty little box of windows with the message "the system is not fully installed. Please run Setup again. »
    I wonder if the restore CD will not work because there is perhaps now another brand of hard drive on CD here, or different, different determinants?
    Best Buy has something wrong or I have to take the computer to them?
    Original internet research indicates the problem could be faulty RAM?
    What should I do?
    Thank you
    Susan
    Hi Susan,.
    Looks clearly like a related problem of RAM. I recommend to put the machine to a technician and allow it to check the RAM memory, because this fault of page errors occur when something was written into RAM and then if the operating system asks files block in the module memory may not be accessible which causes the above error.
  • KB2503665 causes a blue screen of death during restart
    I'm on a Samsung Q210 running Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 and used to have automatic updates enabled. Yesterday after installation of updates, the PC crashed with a BSoD during boot. I used Safe Mode to uninstall the updates one by one, and I've identified KB2503665 to be causing the blue screen of death. I tried to contact Microsoft support, but for some reason any their site tells me my ID of the computer cannot be used in the country, I reside (although I am sure that the version of Vista and the serial number are 100% legit).
    Is it possible to configure the automatic updates as it automatically excludes this update in the future?
    Hello
    1. What is the blue stop screen error message?
    You can follow the methods below and see if it works very well.
    Method 1
    Step 1
    You can temporarily disable the anti-virus.
    Disable the antivirus software
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software
    Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
    Step 2
    You can try to download and install the update manually and see if it works very well.
    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=26275
    Method 2
    If the problem persists, you can auto hide the update.
    (a) click Start, point to all programs, and then click Windows Update or Microsoft Update.
    (b) click on custom.
    (c) click to uncheck the box next to the update you want to hide.
    (d) develop the update you want to hide, and then click to clear the don't show this update again check.
    (e) click on review and install the updates.
    Of course, you have another problem with your computer other than a line right to reinstall System.
    Contact Dell for problems with their software/recovery process.
    It's their recovery software/process, notMicrosoft of.
    What do you mean "that it was the video driver?"   A defective hardware and faulty kernel-mode components are the things that can cause a blue screen (not this external stimulus cannot trigger a bug in a driver). There are many components that interact in kernel mode, if e.g. a third-party driver who may undergo rigorous testing even as something like a driver provided by Microsoft for something can corrupt the memory that will be used later by another component.  This component seems to be blamed, even if it's really the victim.  Driver Verifier adds controls for these kinds of things, at the expense of performance (why it has not enabled all the time).
  • Blue screen with STOP error 0x0000007B (0xBA4CF524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
    I have my Acer 5920 laptop, 2 GB of RAM and 160 hard drive, last stop system time correctly with all the files to day, but when I restart then comes windows XP Jean-Christophe and then a blue screen with the error. Nor I have install new software or remove something in the laptop. My system was perfect, and that was before the last stop.
    I have Windows XP SP2-teacher-pack. I have the original CD of this package.
    But when I use the CD then nothing is happen and come same messgae of error. I do not have any other CD bootable for windowXP except your originalCD.
    Please suggest me what I should do to fix my probem. I'm not to much expert for the formatting and other things computer.
    After reading your following suggession:
    Here are a few things to try:
    The first thing to do is to boot your system and start pressing F8 as soon as it starts booting.  You will get the Windows startup options screen.  Select "Disable automatic restart in the event of system failure" and let it restart.  When it starts, it can now stop with an error screen and give an error message and code.
    Disconnect all external devices (printers, USB Hub, drives external, etc.) and try to start.
    I got the result of the error that comes on a blue screen after you follow your process-blue screen with STOP error 0x0000007B (0xBA4CF524, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
    Thanks in advance for help
    Just one quick response for others...
    Go to your bios to change the mode of training of your s - ata AHCI or IDE Compatible mode or all that apply :) Windows XP is not like SATA, because it has no native support for it. At the start of the second phase of a Setup program, it would fail with this BSOD.
    Also read the following Microsoft article that describes many other causes (including file system damage):Troubleshooting of errors "Stop 0x0000007B" in Windows XP Advanced
    Sometimes, your BIOS will provide its default settings after a system crash or a configuration. Should not happen, but it is...
  • Windows Update KB3069114 causes a blue screen Vista
    The latest updates for Windows from September 2015 started causing blue screens on my Vista desktop, and after repeating uninstall and reinstall I think, that the problem is caused by KB3069114.
    All this experience?
    Any chance of a fix for the problem in the near future?
    I just downloaded and installed the latest driver for my graphics card. I hope that the plant will be gone now [after] KB3069114 installation.
    I would like to know what happens, OK?
