  Hello. After the upgrade to win7 for win8 pro, I get this error/bsod every time I shut down the pc: "IPF in nonpaged area (applecharger.sys).

  I don't think it's a hardware thing, that I had no problem whatsoever with win7 and after upgrading win8 I run a checkdisk on all readers. My main hard drive is an ocz ssd and I have a hard drive for backups! Also, I've updated all drivers/bios for win8 to my mobo gigabyte (model Z68A-D3H-B3). I saw on google there are a lot of this problem is going on, but no solutions yet.

  I fixed it on my computer. I uninstalled a program called ON / OFF and fixed it.

  ON / OFF is a Gigabyte program that uses applecharger.sys for connections to Apple.

  I left my computer on overnight to come on this morning to find the blue screen of death saying IRQL not less or equal - I tried access through safe mode, but I get PAGE FAULT IN NON PAGED AREA. I tried and it was crossed by the last setting but I just got IRQL not less or equal - it's the next day, I quit a game on last night though.

  .. and Yes; the BSOD containing the paginated Page Fault in any area error could be related to memory problems, but it could also be a temporal problem that appeared one last time

  Please check if your problem in SIM card or service provider number. If possible, transfer your SIM card in another phone and try to send someone a generic SMS message.   If you are overclocking STOP

  You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting in SafeMode (F8) with networking.

  To allow us to help you with symptoms BSOD on your computer, download the contents of your folder "\Windows\Minidump".

  The procedure:

  * Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another location (temporary) somewhere on your machine.
  * Zip up the contents of this folder
  * Please upload to a service like "Rapidshare" to share files and link to them in your answer.

  To ensure the minidumps are enabled:

  * Click Start, in the search box, type: sysdm.cpl, press ENTER.
  * On the Advanced tab, click Startup and recovery... Settings button.
  * Make sure that automatically restart is unchecked.

  I have a Windows 7 with 8 GB of RAM. After running for a day or two, the RAM consumption is going upward and upward in the Task Manager, and the computer ends up by becoming completely insensitive. Doing some research with RAMMAP and found that the leak of memory is in the non paged. Ran POOLMON and found that the leak was with the AWP6 tag. Researched the C all way through 'findstr /s AWP6 *.sys' and found this string in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\npf.sys but I don't know where to go from here.

  In addition, the process of the system (PID 4) creates a carrot and is 25% CPU usage.

  I can run tests or post screenshots as requested.

  In the npf.sys research, I found that this file is installed with WinPCAP, which was (unbeknownst to me) installed with another program I had installed on my computer. Uninstalling WinPCAP and restarting seemed to have solved the problem.

  Also, I had already run, windows memory diagnostic, so I knew that the RAM itself was not the problem.
