VLAN N3048-PC6224

Hello world

I'm trying to configure a valn between 2 switch (real-time 4 switches but stacking 2 / 2)

My config is quite simple:

N3048:

ethernet interface 2 / g26-> first computer
switchport access vlan 2
output

interface tengigatethernet 2/0 / 2-> optical fiber
switchport access vlan 2
output

PC6224

ethernet interface 2 / g26-> second computer
switchport access vlan 2
output

ethernet interface 2 / g47-> optical fiber
switchport access vlan 2
output

I use a transcevier SFP 1000BASE-SX 850nm wave 550 m, even on the 2 switches.

The fiber link is in place on the device but no work from rose.

Need help!

Thx for the answers of the future

Hello

I have add this command:

Console #configurer

Console (config) #interface Tengigabitethernet 2/0/2

access mode console (config-if-Te2/0/2) #switchport

Console (config-if-Te2/0/2) #switchport access vlan 3

Console (config-if-Te2/0/2) #exit

Console (config) #exit

#show running-config Tengigabitethernet 2/0/2 console interface

switchport access vlan 3

Console #.

Why when a glance running, 0/Te2/2 interface configuration does not accept "switchport mode access"?

I will configure the other switch and try to ping everyone together

EDIT:

Ping does not work.

    Hello

Ive got 2 batteries of n3048 which will be connected by a link of fiber shds 1 Gbps, there are several local networks virtual on each stack and some of them I want trunk on the binding fiber.

an of vlan is for a balanced load diversely routed internet connection, there is a router on each site with 100 Mbps bandwidth, but also firewalls at each site that will be in the same vlan.

I don't want no internet to run slow because something is hogging the bandwidth on the shds, so the question is how can I guarantee 100 Mbps of traffic for vlan 10 through the shds with us other traffic crossing of vlan?

I have install other powerconnect switches and switches cisco with trunking VLANs between switches but I've ever done where I need to ensure a slice of bandwidth with QOS?

I'd appreciate any help or advice to achieve this

    Hi Daniel,.

Sorry for the late reply its been a bit choppy on other projects so just had time to test this out.

    Console (config) # VLAN_10_MARK policy-map on

I applied the same configuration for the trunk on two piles of switch port

Thanks for your help in pointing me in the right direction

I used jperf on 2 laptops in VLAN 10, 1 in each switch then your laptop on the other switch into a vlan with jperf mode server and 3 computers, send traffic using jperf him around the trunk and which seems to work well. ive tried run qos traffic vlan first and then maxing the bandwidth through the traffic trunk vlan qos not and then vice versa with traffic vlan qos to a already maxxed bandwidth through the trunk and he still gave him its bandwidth of 100 Mbps in both scenarios.

  • N3048 tagging VLAN

Just recently, we bought a n3048 to replace our PowerConnect 6248 failure. The section belonging to a VLAN on the 6248 allows to tag the ports for VLAN specific in four States. An empty box for unconfigured, U for unidentified, T for the tag and F I believe is forbidden. The n3048 has only two States: white and U. Can someone explain how to have a law on the port in the same way it would on the 6248 has been T tag?

You need to set the port in general or Trunk mode settings in order to Tag VLAN. Page 663 user guide begins detailing options and how they are defined.

  • PC6224 Configuration of VLAN

    Hello

I am desirous of VLAN my iSCSI data in two separate VLANS and think I understand what to do. I would like to just anyone for the validation test it before I go live and eventually get things horribly wrong.

All i15 labeled ports must be configured as switchport access vlan 15
All i16 labeled ports must be configured as switchport access vlan 16
Four XG ports must be configured as vlan allowed switchport General add 15.16 tag.

So far I think I have it but I'm not sure on how to get the traffic untagged crossing ports XG.
It will do it automatically, or should I set switchport General pvid 1 for these ports, so all untagged traffic goes to the network vlan by default?

I need to set the VLAN on LAG3 or will it not serious because the ports are marked? Or do I not have to label the ports if the OFFSET is the tag? Or I have to mark the two?

    Thanks for the help,

    Jim.

Put a PVID on a LAG sets going what traffic VLAN not identified.

The amount of bandwidth for a network will vary from network to network. If you have connections to available ports 4 is perfectly fine. You can always expand or cut connections later.

The stack will act as a logical device, so there is a LAG/portchannel. User guide page 945.  http://Dell.to/1H4xyD5

When it comes to routing between VLANs. Usually only the main switch will have an IP address for all the VLANS. The other switches will have 1 IP address for management. Your clients will have an IP address for the subnet of the VLAN they are. And have the gateway on the IP address that is assigned to the VLAN on the switch that is configured for routing.

For the port settings try this out.

    interface port-channel 1

    Description 'link - Stack1.

    switchport mode general

    pvid switchport General 11

switchport general allowed vlan add 2,5,23 tag

VLAN allowed switchport General add 11 untagged

switchport vlan allowed General remove 1

    interface port-channel 2

    Description "link - TPL-Core."

    switchport mode general

    pvid switchport General 11

switchport general allowed vlan add 2,5,23 tag

VLAN allowed switchport General add 11 untagged

switchport general allowed remove vlan 1

Then for connectivity try Ping between customers and not pass interfaces.

  • Battery M8024-k (pair) M3048 (pair) battery gal, VLAN and port groups?

    Hi all

I'm getting more confused by the minute.  I have a pair of M8024-k blade switches in a M1000e enclosure, outside, I have a pair of N3048 switches.

I think I have the job of stacking on the M8024-k, but I found a configuration guide for Simple mode that says take port 17-20 outside the Group of ports on the pair aggregation and leave the stack ports and internally in the PA Group.  When I do that they remain outside the group, if I do it in the CLI or the GUI.

Does anyone have a configuration guide that shows how I can pair trunk the 2 together and allow 4 VLAN that I keep coming without access to blade servers inside?  What I get out of simple mode on the M8024-k to achieve?

    Any help gratefully received.

The best source of information is going to be the user guides.

    www.Dell.com/.../manuals

    www.Dell.com/.../manuals

I would wear the 8024-k off simple mode.

    Console# not simple mode

On two batteries, you will need to aggregate 4 ports together.  Here is an example to place a port in an aggregation group.

Console (config) # interface gigabitethernet 0/1/5

    Console (Config-if-1/0/5) # channel-group mode 1 (active / Auto)

Once the ports are in a channel-group 1, we can then configure the channel group to perform for several VLANs.

    Console (config) # interface port-channel 1

    trunk mode console (config-if-po1) #switchport

#switchport console (config-if-po1) trunk allowed vlan add 2-150

This is done, you should have connectivity.

    Keep us informed.

  • Help with the VLAN routing

I'm pretty green when I just went and routing configurations please bear with me.  I'm available what I want to achieve and what I could do until now (although it may be completely wrong).

I have an office where we run low on IP addresses for our local network, the obvious answer is to get VOIP phones on their own subnet.  So, I have a switch PC6224 I want to use to create the second subnet.

Currently, I can ping from a client on 172.22.145.x to the 172.22.144.12 (VLAN 3 ip interface) but cannot ping any other 172.22.144.x that is not directly connected to the 6224 switch device.  Trying to ping the network 172.22.145.x device leave a device plugged into the 172.22.144.x VLAN on the switch of packets results was sent to the default gateway for the network (172.22.144.1) who does not know what to do with them.

What port connects to 172.22.144.1 the jump according to the internet?

What should happen is we need a VLAN 'remote' separate just for the connection between the 6224 and your 172.22.144.1 jump following the internet device.

If 172.22.144.1 remains the same, then you must create another local network VIRTUAL to "TWLAN".  Eventually, VLAN 4 with a range of ip addresses of 172.22.146.1 - 254 255.255.255.0.  Where the VLAN 4 interface has an IP address defined as 172.22.146.1.  Once that all connected devices again VLAN 4 that were in the VLAN 3 need to change there IPs and gateway 172.22.146.1

So the only port that has configuration of VLAN 3 is the connection to 172.22.144.1 port next to the internet break.  The IP address defined on the interface VLAN 3 should be in the same subnet as 172.22.144.1 range.

Here is a diagram that can help you to see the whole upward.  VLAN 100 in the diagram represent VLAN 3 in your case.  Switch 2 would represent your device from the internet of next hop.

I was still having some problems of scathing to the 192.168.3.0 network from the DHCP server and I added a static route on the server for this network, bypassing the ASA for routing to the switch.

switchport trunk allowed vlan add 100

switchport trunk allowed vlan add 102

  • App 5.1 server does not not on different VLANS

    Helloooo

I just installed a new server and I use the server application. Everything seemed to work fine until I moved my iMac to a VLAN different. Profiles and update settings do not push to the iMac and sit at a stadium in waiting. Also to register the new iMacs on the server I get to the login server window and it crashes it and does not authenticate. Screen opens by saying that I can open a second window and registration. When I try to register, I get an unknown error and that it fails. It seems timeless. I tried to change a lot of settings prescribed by other users, but nothing helped. Someone at - it advice on what could be the problem.

  • Problem VLAN HP Mini 110-4101er

Hello. We have a level 2 + switch with VLAN. This netbook is unable to obtain an IP address from the DHCP server. Parameters default network has been applied. The same thing with another HP laptop with the same NIC Realtek. But another Acer netbook works fine on the same switch port. We do not know why.

    Any help would be appreciated.

The problem is resolved. Had to download the new drivers and the utility of diagnosis on the Realtek site. With the help of the utility put in place of VLAN ID 0. Everything works fine.

    Thank you

    Hi Dakota68,

    Sorry for the late reply,

Please check if the VLAN ID 50 is defined as the PVID for ports 1-46 by going to

Switch > VLAN > advanced > Configuration of Port's PVID.

The PVID column for the port 1-46 should say '50' (VLAN ID for VLAN.50)

Please see more on page 113 here PVID:

And Yes, I recommend that you create another virtual local network for servers.

Try and let us know if it works
