• BB10 Simulator on Vmware ESXi

  I'm trying to get the BB10 Simulator to work on a VMWare ESXi server. Here's what I've done so far:

  1. Installed the Simulator on yhe development machine, started VMWare workstation, open the vmx file and downloaded the VM on the ESXi server.
  2. Disabled 3D acceleration on the machine virtual (on ESX) and selected 'Full touch safe mode' after starting the virtual machine.

  At this point, the virtual computer screen displays the IP 'telnet ftp ssh qconn', the axis of the device and the build number.

  The next step is to connect the Momentics IDE to this virtual machine.

  The Simulator is in need of a vmx file configuration dialog box (likely to run vmware specific commands). In the configuration of ESXi, there is no vmx file.

  If I try to connect to the virtual machine by IP address, I need a device password, I did not.

  Someone at - it suggestions on what do I do now?

  To run your application on the Simulator:

  -In the Project Explorer view, double click on file bar - descriptor.xml, then click on chip Debug Set button to set the author of the application information.

  -Set the configuration of the correct version for the Simulator first by right-clicking on your project and selecting Configurations of Build > Set Active > 4 Simulator-Debug.

  -In the Project Explorer view, right-click the project and select build project.

  -Right click on the project again, and then select run as > BlackBerry Application C/C++.

  Currently I see many MAC beat in the log of the switch.  From my understanding, I expect the MAC address out all ports, because that's what'd ESXi when you use 'route based on the hash of the IP.  I'm worried about the impact this might have on the CPU / switch.

  I'm running a Gen8 DL380e with 5.5 Update 1 without problems. 5.5 Update 2 has some problems about the new version of the hpvsa driver that gives massive drops in virtual machines to run.

• Patching VMware ESXi

  So, I recently discovered that my VMware ESXi running ESXi 5.5.0 version 1331820 build number (ESXi 5.5.0 GA). Now, I know that there are a few fixes that have been released, ESXi550-201410001 is the most recent, because as far as I know. It would be convenient to patch, also if this is the case, can I just go what version I am now, download the recent patch and install directly, or is there a few required required fixes before. Active and important virtual machines running on hosts that I would be "patching" it may be closed, but it would be really bad if the patch to cause problems for causing problems for VMS host.

  I'm new to this, as I have never "patched" before ESXi. I guess I can use this (KB VMware: installation of patches on an ESXi host from the command-line 5.x ) as the documentation on how to install those.

  I use the starwind software as my iSCSI target

  I use ISCSI to connect to my server from storage to the esxi hosts.

  I have 2 warehouses of data showing inactive under clusters of data storage and the data store.  I have a third-party data store on the same server that is loading properly.

  I currently have the same behavior on three esxi hosts:

  under configuration - storage adapters is the ISCSI path is active. Data warehouses appear under devices and mounted.  In data warehouses, they are inactive. On the same storage server

  on the starwind Server - I have

  built a new target

  removed and added the databases to the new target

  Changed the IP address of the target.

  On Esxi hosts, I removed the ISCSI server, discover places BOF dynamic and static and added under the same or IPs news discovery

  I can restart esxi hosts & storage servers and get to that same point.

  Whenever I find myself in the same place - course assets, devices mounted, inactive in data warehouses

  I don't know what else to share, let me know what you need to know to help out me.

  OK, incase someone crosses my ramblings, it may help.  My original question was warehouses of data that would not rise.  They were visible as devices in the area of storage under devices and as devices in the scsi adapter.

  When I would try to force mount them, add storage, keep the signature, mount they wouldn't mount.  I did some research and my question was after a failed mount attempt strength as got data attached as snapshots warehouses.  I then mounted force them and he tells will data warehouses and I got them back.

  I followed this KB to identify and resolve the problem

  When it was over, I tried to add vms back and found a new show.  Power of vms would expire.  the vmkernel.log showed;

  After several searches, I had in the ESXShell and found that there is no conflict of booking.

  On a whim, I took inventory all virtual machines that are now inaccessible.  I then added a DOS virtual machine. Alto! the latency down to version 1.2 a.7 ms for all data warehouses.

  ultimately the instructions said you may need to add virtual machines in the inventory, but does not remove all virtual machines first.  I was grabbing vms that were not in stock, so I didn't remove the old virtual machines in the inventory.

  I'm trying to understand how to configure a dedicated server of Dell R210 rented running VMware ESXi 5.1.0 build-799733

  This dedicated server is rented www.online.net and sits somewhere in France. One of its network adapters have an IP public 62.210.177.20x. The other NIC is here, but I do not understand how it is configured. According to the www.online.net portal, the other NETWORK card has or should have an IP 10.90.116.20x. And I am obviously set up is to have some virtual machines running and be able to access the Internet. I have access to the console of the server Dell through iDRAC and since I could see, one of the network adapters in the IP is 62.210.177.20x defined, and the other has been shown out of service. I managed to make it appear the other interface but I cannot find anywhere how to assign the IP address 10.90.116.20x to this 2^nd network adapter. But then again I don't even know if I should or if I need to assing a IP address to this 2^nd network adapter. What is the cable connected even for this 2^nd NIC? I do not know. Should it be - I'm not either. I don't know French and manuals/instructions on www.online.net are in French. I can try an online translator, but I don't think that what I'm looking for is explained. How do I get this set up? I have to do something about the ESXi on the server console? This interface 2^nd should be in place, or it must be down as if it was originally? Yesterday after watching someone videos on YouTube, I added the second virtual switch and moved the virtual hosts of this switch 2 and he entrusted the 2^nd NIC. But that 2^nd NIC had a red X next to it probably indicating that it was disconnected the 2^nd form virtual switch.   ESXi 4.1 disc limit is 2 TB less than 512 bytes, ESXi 4.1 will not recognize more than 2 TB, check for other options as well.

  I have a Dell PowerEdge 2950 III with six 7.2 K rpm HDs in RAID 5 running VMWare ESX 3i in an internal USB unit. In this server, I have a virtual machine running a mail server. I have problems of performance of disks in servers and we will change the discs on 15 K RPM drive and change the RAID 10 RAID level. I activated the SSH in VMWare ESXi and my question is: is it possible to copy the virtual machine using Winscp or other method forders, rebuilt my RAID, and then copy these files to VMWare again?

  I'would want to know your suggestions on this matter.

  You may need to use "add to inventory" since the UUID will be different on the store of data on disks. If we then open the data store with and navigate to the virtual machine. Right click and Add. You answer that you move them.

  indicates that a specific version of the megaraid_sas driver must be installed.

  Is the version megaraid_sas that installs with the image of Dell U2 v5.5 not the right version?

  I just ran the upgrade on a R710 and it's the megaraid_sas version installed:
