  While performing the unit commissioning on a pending device pause difficult scenario. Mirage follows the process of centralization of endpoint after provisioning, which we cannot ignore.

  I imported USMT 4.0 and 6.3 of the USMT.

  I use 'migration Hardware' for the described scenario.

  Existing machine reached 3 years hardware refresh cycle and user requests for a new model (change of OS version)

  -selected 'material migration' in the common Wizard

  -some of the old endpoint CVD(win 7 OS)

  -selected endpoint replacemet

  -selected "user data only and settings" option to restore the data on the replacement (with win8 OS) machine

  But after the successful migration, is not the migration of user data. I have attached 'event log' error screenshot.

  I can see windows.old including user data and other files from old win7 CVD created in win8 machine.

  Please help how to fix this to migrate data only.

• Mirage Server installation fails: the server failed to register

  Quick history: the single server installation (Server 2012 R2 w / SQL Express 2012) using the version 5.5.05294 for all components. I have a dedicated domain service account and management group that has local administrator rights and I am connected using this account. I have disabled UAC completely. I've successfully installed the Mirage Management Server and the SQL database looks good. I installed the Console of Mirage as well and can connect to the server and load the license key.

  Anyone know how to get the mirage server started? I finally got Management Server, server of Mirage and the installed console.  However when I add my server in the console it starts to connect and then says server down.  I checked the services and the mirage Server service is running. I also got a temporary license of VMWare thinking that was the issue.

  Our company uses the solution VMware Mirage of PC backup images. the version is 5.3.0.31896. on windoows 7 X 64 and I am a fairly active user.

  Something caused the abandon VSS snapshot.

  If it's Windows XP - instant that one is allowed and then a program can be taken on.

  It could be a program or something else, perhaps the file get downloaded has an issue that caused the failed VSS snapshot?

  You can look at the logs and see if it's the same file constantly.

  You can not he saved, specific file types can be excluded from the download using policies set by your administrator.

  Look at the Windows event log and you will see the events for the VSS service get taken by Mirage, can be.

  Sometimes followed by VSS may be necessary to understand why the VSS gets dropped.

  According to my observation, below are the steps in the mirage console when I choose the first method by selecting a base coat to centralize the end point of the user under "device on hold.

  After a while here is the status on console mirage in the user's machine

  According to the definition, mirage will create snapshots before 'assignment BL' or 'provisioning BL' endpoint of the user with the "VMware mirage CVD political default" policy.

  But, according to my opinion on console of mirage (mentioned above), it's something at the end download after 'assignment BL' or 'provisioning BL.

  Is mirage creation loacl copy snapshot in the user's machine and charging at the data center to the end OR something else does not work here?

  Also in the 'Preparation device' scenario, mirage will restore the data to the endpoint of the user once done with commissioning?

  Please sat down me leaving doubts above.

  There are few questions without report here.

  Centralization with Base layer - in this case, the first download will be once the base coat is assigned. There is therefore no snapshot before the transfer.

  In general, this isn't a commonly used options. Most users will first centralize endpoints and then (in a separate operation) will assign layers of basic/app. In this case, the last download prior to the assignment of layer will be considered to be snapshot. Note that it will behave like other snapshots and is deleted after a certain time depending on the snapshot policy.

  Supply device - the first thing Mirage will do is empty the layer on the device, and then download a CVD. That means, once again, tat there is no snapshot before commissioning. If you want to keep the layer before upload, either use the previous method (with layer of entitlement), or centralize the machine, archive the CVD and then perform the commissioning.

  Restore data after commissioning - what is not done automatically. You must run 'User profile Migration' for this. Unfortunately before you do this, you must delete or archive the CVD which was created after the commissioning.

  Actuall, I write post scripts. If I update a Base Layer "post_bi_update.bat" works really well and calls the "post_core_Update.bat".

  But if I spend an a Win7 XP system or run a provisioning BaseLayer, the message "migration.bat" does not work.

  Any ideas how I can run a post Migration... for Winxp Win7 Migration scrip and a BaseLayer provisioningScript?

  The post_migration.bat file should work for XP to 7 migration. He runs after the first reboot and after the series of 17 or more steps so that the user is locked. Can you run the file .bat manually after the migration, and it works very well then?

  Mirage is not in the current version (5.4) Windows ready 10 or 10 Windows supported. It might be possible to run Windows 10 5.4 Mirage machines but you will not get any support for it and this could cause problems with your infrastructure of Mirage.

  I recommend you to wait that the Mirage is supported as Windows 10. In the last Mirage was very fast with the support of new operating systems.
