VPN via wireless

is it possible to site vpn with ipsec on routers tha is linked via wireless?

Thank you

Celso,

If the two routers are

a be able to communicate with each other.

b. is not far behind,

c. and there is nothing on wireless devices that would block packets UDP 500 and ESP.

Then, you shouldn't have a problem with creating a Site to tunnel.

Hope that answers your query.

The rate of this post, if that helps.

See you soon

When you did uninstall it and reinstall, did you use a download from hp.com for the re - install?  Otherwise, you could try doing a complete uninstall and then use a download from hp.com for installing the driver.  Click here

If this does not help, I recommend you contact HP to Contact HP worldwidesupport.  They should be able to help understand you what is happening.  It would be good if the agent is able to your computer remotely and all check.

    Hello

Your router could be suspicious here, you have successfully updated its firmware as a possible solution? And I would like to
Update your WiFi drivers on computers. How you are positioned in the router? Are there
    obstacles in the path?

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

You can download several at once however restart after the installation of each of them.

After watching the system manufacturer, you can check the manufacturer of the device an even newer version. (The
manufacturer of system become your backup policies).

Repeat for network (NIC) card and is a good time to get the other updated drivers as Vista like

I would also turn off auto update for the drivers. If the updates Windows suggests a just HIDE as they

  • How to make win 7 to prefer wired via wireless connections

I have 2 internet connection in my laptop. wired or wireless. Win 7 prefer him wireless on the trendy though wired a metric is lower. How can I get win 7 to prefer wired via wireless connections?

The average best absolute to ensure that you will always connect to wired and not wireless is to disable wireless on your computer. Just note that you need to re-enable it if you ever want or need to use wireless internet.

To enable or disable the radio on your computer: click on START, then Contorl Panel, then Device Manager. Right click on the wireless adapter , then click on disable.

To reactivate, simply click in the same place, which should read allow.

  • VPN via a natted router

    Hello

I think that vpn via nat is 'enabled' in the 6.3.1 software for the pix? I have problems to run. Can someone give me directions, including everything I need to know about the router?

I guess that everything that I have to do is create a static nat from 1 to 1 of the legal IP outside the pix outside IP router? Then configure the vpn as usual to accept vpn as usual (I use the 4.0.1 cisco client).

    I'd appreciate any help.

    Thanks for your time

    Andy

I think that you need to configure the NAT-Traversal, the command to do this is isakmp nat-traversal]

NAT - T can be enabled or disabled:

By default? OFF for site to site tunnels

By default? We'RE for hardware and software VPN clients

    Hi TahseenJamal,

Thanks for the video, which has been most useful.

I suspect that the router can be not broadcast the Hello Protocol as it did in the past. To resolve this problem, please follow the instructions below.

    1. Out of the router, unplug the power cable
    2. Out of the printer, unplug the power cable
    3. Stop the Mac
    4. Give up everything for 1 minute and then reconnect the router
    5. Once sighted routers are on, reconnect the printer to the
    6. When the wireless printer is solid, turn on the Mac

If this does not resolve the problem, it could be the printer. Follow the steps below.

On the front panel of the printer, the arrow down to settings, then press OK. Down arrow for wireless and press OK. In the wireless menu, go to IPV6 and turn it off. Once IPV6 is disabled, try to add the printer in the preferences system again.

Please let me know if either of these solutions solve the problem and if one of them, please also let me know, thanks.

  • OfficeJet pro 8620: HP 8620 won't print via wireless for nay on my home mac

I have 2 Macs in my home, Macbook, and Macbook Pro running Yosemite. I tried to implement a pro 7310 office via an ethernet cable printer to print wireless from these two macs and after 3 frustrating months trying everything that I could find, I bought the 8620 thought that would solve everything.

Instead, it's the same. I am trying to print from firefox or word or anything and it cannot find the printer. But if I turned off everything, including the Mac and the router (N of Belkin N300 router wirleless) and the computer and then turn them back on, the printer is detectable and prints well. It just seems to disappear and I can't find it when searching for available printers after a few hours. I installed the last softeare for this printer and it worked when fine forst, implemented.

Any help would be greatly appreciated that I spent way too many hours trying to figure this, it doesn't help that I'm not that tech savy.

    Thank you!

    Hello @bokke ,

    Welcome to the HP forum.

I understand that you are having problems of communication between your two Macs and your 8620.

    I would like to help.

Three things have caught my attention.

You said that this is happening to both computers.

You also mentioned that the same thing happened to another model of printer.

Finally, after you power cycle your network everything works. At least for a little while.

I feel that we should seek less software and more to your network.

Belkin N300 wireless N Router, how old is this router?

How is the printer to the router?

Your router should have the following configuration

~ The multicast must be on or enabled (allows connectivity Hello)

~ Wireless Ports, they can also be frozen in security software:

    The incoming (UDP) ports: 137, 138, 161, 427

    Outgoing (TCP) ports: 137, 139, 427, 9100, 9220, 9500

~ Our printers support only the 2.4 GHz not 5 GHz

~ Recommended that the network name and password DO NOT containing and spaces/punctuation or special characters ~ Dual Radio enabled (for b/g wireless & networks n)

    ~ Mac disabled filtering

~ The built-in firewall must be the default or the lower settings

    This should solve the problem.

    PORTS TO UNLOCK.

    UDP: 137, 138, 161, 427, 80 & 443

    TCP: 137, 139, 427, 9100, 9220, 9500, 5222 5223

So please make sure that multicast & Hello are enabled. Also never hurts to check for an update of the firmware.

  • Can not access internet via wireless HTTP 404

I plugged a wireless (NetGear) adapter to my PC to be able to access the internet via the card my husband Verizon Wireless.  He says that I'm connected to the internet, but the only thing I get when I try to connect to any site is error 404 web page not found.  It's probably something simple, I need to set up on my desktop, but I can't find a way to solve this problem.

Thank you... I actually got a response via Widgetbox.com yesterday.  I had to go to the workstation, Panel, network and Internet Options, Internet connections, connections and go to LAN settings and uncheck all checked it (the checked was something to do with a proxy server).  And that's all that it was him - everything has worked correctly!  Hope this helps someone else.

  • Can't VPN via WRT54G

    Hi all

Until last night, I used an old Linux box to route to the web behind NAT.   But last night I got replacedthat with a WRT54G, 8.00.2 firmware revision.  Everything works fine, except one thing.

I use a PPTP VPN connection simply return to my place of work.  Last night, I tried my laptop and it doesn't have both wired and wireless.  But I peut ping at the address I am trying to connect to...

So I think it's just some settings on the router, Miss me him and I didn't play with it until I got a few tips from the experts here on the forum.

    Thoughts?  Thank you!

    Chris

The WRT54G supports PPTP transmission.  Check the Security tab of the web interface of routers.

  • HP 3050 - Cant connect what either Via Wireless

I am very confused as to what's going on is how my computers are connected...

My main PC is connected to my router via an ethernet cable

My 2 laptops are connected via the wireless

They are not in a network so to speak as in they see and share files they just use the router to connect to the internet now my PC I got works great it sends information to the router via Ethernet and bang printer prints via radio, now for my laptop, I installed the software CD V 22.5.0 depending on the disc. I went through the set up and wanted to connect wireless so I followed the guests at the monitor in use the USB cable to install drivers for devices and so said my printer name and network that it connects any see next screen it does not connect to it actually.

I have disabled the windows firewall on the thought of the laptop that could be, but no I even went to the screen where I can manually the IP address of the printer and it will still find and connect to router is a Netgear DGN2000 with last firmware, I put in place so that all the material that I know who is connected has a reserved IP address so everything is at the same address all the time.

I even tried to enter the printer via IP address in IE9, but it won't even connect to it even searching in the add printer it won't see my model, even if the software is installed unless that I keep it connected via USB to keep drivers

After much pulling I finally hair fixed I just I went back to square 1 and by default from the router to the factory settings and started from scratch, I address reserved only my PC and laptop and the PS3 and a not to bother with the printer and it installed properly on my PC and laptop.

Bare in mind that it was the old laptop I had, I had a new Exchange as one who was 22 days the card N Wireless dead on it then it may have caused the problem, but I can now printer on my laptop thanks to God.

  • Unable to connect via wireless with SSID broadcast disabled

I want to configure my router for my SSID is not broadcast, because I think it's a logical step to take for increased security. I have not been able to do since I started using my new laptop Inspiron 5558. I tried this several times and every time I turn off the SSID broadcast, I am not able to connect to the Wi - Fi on this laptop. Other remote computers in my house and my smartphone connect without problem, but nothing I've tried helps my new computer Dell laptop to connect via Wi - Fi, except for allowing the SSID broadcast.

I have a router Actiontec MI424WR reverend E. I have installed the new driver and the Intel PROset utility and unfortunately nothing has changed. I went to the settings to investigate some of the other solutions offers, and I came across something that seems to have solved my problem. What I found in SETTINGS/network & Internet/change adapter options/Wi-Fi/see the status of my properties of connection/Wireless / on the connection tab, it was an uncontrolled area with the words "connect even if the network is not broadcasting its name (SSID). I checked this box, and since then, I was able to connect to my network wireless with SSID broadcast disabled. I will now call this resolved and if no new problems arise. start a new post. Thanks for sticking with me on this.

is there a problem with the NAT (in my DSL provider's network? I need a static mapping to a public ip address?,)

If you have v6.3.x fw pix, nat/pat is not going to cause a problem, it will automatically negotiate UDP encap.
