WA Multiscale VI pics

Dear users,

using the ' peaks WA Multiscale VI', I expect that peaks detected for a waveform are the same as valleys detected for the y waveform (multiplied by-1, i.e. the values are returned in reverse waveform), see the snippet, please. " This is not the case, when you perform the analysis of some data.

Opening and by examining the subVIs, I see only reverse synthesis and analysis filter frequencies and changing 'superior' to 'reduce', about the difference between "summits" and "valleys" setting.

The documentation does not indicate a substantial difference between the "peaks" and "valleys".

A thinking about it?

OK, so after further analysis:

It takes "y-flip" the threshold for the valleys. That is, if one seeks summits with a threshold T and you want to search for similar looking valleys, then there are two solutions:

(a) to reverse the data (*(-1)) and keep the threshold

(b) flip the threshold (*(-1)) and keep the data.

With no option for the valleys to the research proposed by the VI, I would come with one) solution quickly, most likely -it's hypothetical, right? This options and see the results, confuses me strongly.

  • Connect LabVIEW with a via USB pic 18f4550

Hello everyone, as the title suggests, I would like to have communication with the PHOTO above, in order to to use as a sort of buffer control. Nothing complicated or fancy, I would use it as a sort of buffer, with LV, do all the calculations and lifting heavy objects, while the PEAK only manages communication and nothing else. Specifications are:

-I would like to order 2 Motors step by step, I already have the drivers who are driving binary pulses (1 pulse = 1 step)

-May or may not require an analog (0 - 5V) encoder feedback, so for now, let's assume that Yes

-As mentioned, nothing complicated like PID or advanced control in the PIC, just send and receive some movement, LV will do most of the work as it's the only one I'm more familiar with

-I am well informed, but not particularly good in programming C (not my cup of tea), but I'm pretty adept at BASIC, my particular environment is PIC Simulator IDE of Oshonsoft and his recent iteration, the Basic compiler.

I've done a substantial amount of research, but most of the info is pretty obsolete, and most of the download links no longer work. I know I should use General dll of Microchip (already had), but would like to know if someone has done something similar, or could give me a starting point. I also read the white paper found here: http://www.ni.com/tutorial/4478/en/#

So basically, if anyone has the tracks on a good starting point, tutorials, I have to take or bases miss me, they would be welcome. Thanks to a bouquet.

I think it would be simpiler using a virtual COM port device such as the ones FTDI

Then schedule a connection series on your PIC and just use VISA in LabVIEW to communicate with the captain like communicating with any other serial device.

  • PIC search returns an incorrect value

I use advanced research VI for the tendency of a power spectrum amplitudes. Advanced VI research is not showing the correct amplitudes.  They are off by a little bit every time.  I watched the berries from the exit of the power spectrum, and I checked the cutting-edge research is get good input data but out something unexpected. I have advanced research for: 1) Single Max Peak, threshold = 0, start = 57.8 Hz, Stop = 59 Hz and 2) Single Max Peak, threshold = 0, Start = 61 Hz, Stop = 62.2 Hz. Or a poster of the correct value.  I'll post my code, but the file I open is a .dat so I can't post that.

Research of spectrum VI made an adjustment to identify the peaks of the curve. Advanced search algorithm is described in the help:

Details of the spectrum SVFA cutting-edge research

The Spectrum Peak Search VI SVFA finds all of the peaks in the spectrum and makes an estimate amplitude/frequency or amplitude/order on each individual pic. The VI works on the ghosts of greatness and power.

Usually, the spectrum is calculated based on an input with windows signal. The closed shape of any COS, such as Hanning, Hamming, Blackman-Harris window and so on, is known. The presence of three dominant bins indicates a local maximum on power spectrum. So, when the Spectrum Peak Search VI SVFA locates the three dominant bins, a curve maps algorithm the shape of window on three bins and believes that the true frequency and amplitude of this particular tone. The following illustration of the diagrams of the concept of the algorithm.

If you want the local maxima of the spectra, you can use the following code:

Is there some toolkit or similar, which will allow me to write code for micro PIC (10F or 12F)?

In fact, I believe that the LabView embedded only works with specific processors and will not work with 8-bit images.  Yes, serial to transfer data instead of writing code to run on the controller.

  • Communication Serial Port with PIC

    Dear all.

I am interfacing the labVIEW to an eeprom controller PIC, where I need to input data user to store in a location memory EEPROM, according to my condition that I've done programming the pic and it works very well with hyperterminal, at the same time I need to do with a labVIEW using communication serial port VISA , but when I did I receive a warning in 1073676294 that cannot be ignored, but I am not able to write user data to EEPROM by labview but I can do it to hyperterminal, please someone help me on this.

    Charron a G

I was interfacing to pictures for a while, and the example that you have to build from was the same that I used. First, move the initialization OF THE outside of the loop. No need to re-initialization of the COMM PORT every 750ms.  Inside the code example, there is an expectation of 500ms between WRITING and READING (it is hardcoded for now, you brought it out on the ICON).  So time total is 750ms loop over the 500ms wait (more traffic comms), FYI.

You do not use a return of ramasseherbe (13) or a NEWLINE (10) as a dismissal. You use a SO (14). Unless you're on a triggering a 14 ASCII in the PIC, the PIC will never see the "end of the chain of command" to analyze out. I have attached a good routine of init (IMO) I re - use on all my PIC projects, take a look.

I use compilers Mikroelectronica MikroCPRO and displayed a complete interface of the UART (triggers on a CR (13)) on their site LIBSTOCK if you want to take a look at the side of the PHOTO of my work.

  • Guaasian pic made results differ from other software fiitting results

Hi, I do pic Gaussian fix as shown by the example of estimators of labview on an image. But when the same data are mounted by origin or Matlab results differ from that of Labview. Can someone tell me why this is happaning?

The mismatch between the peak Gaussian Fit.vi and results Fit.vi of curve nonlinear is the limitations of default setting for the Fit.vi of peak Gaussian.  By default the limits force the setting of offset of 0.  Change the top and the bottom limit to + Inf and - Inf and change the tolerance to be ~ 1E-8 and the results between the two agree screws.

You searched by examples? NEITHER comes with examples of serial port. Since you send just a single byte of data, you need to configure the serial port to disable the stop character and set playback VISA to read as a single byte. For example Cory gave, this means a fake of wiring at the entrance to "Activate the tank of termination" and a 1 wiring at the entrance to the VISA reading "number of bytes. I also suggest using a waveform instead of a graph chart. In this way, that you don't need e shift register or build the Array function.

  • I deleted by mistake the pic files, ran sys restore from an earlier date, always missing, suggestions

try to burn photos to a cd, pic files deleted by mistake, can not find all the files. has a restored system since 2 days earlier (point), files are still left, they are not in the trash. anyway I can find/restore the photo files?

Hi and welcome to the forum. Unfortunately, the system restore does not monitor and/or backup of personal data. This is left to the user. It only back - up system files. However, your photos can probably be recovered using Recuva from Piriform, the creators of Ccleaner. Stop using the computer NOW. The more you use it, more files will be overwritten and destroyed. When you use Recuva to recover the files don't be a noob.  Read the help text. It is because they know how to use their software. If your system has a logic or slave drive put the files recovered on it, or if you have an external one that works as well. Chances of recovery improve drastically by placing the recovered files on one drive other than the one they were deleted on.  The link below is the portable version, it does not settle. It is a stand-alone application. This will also help since you're not going to install software.
