    This driver is not tested and Toshiba does not offer any help on this matter.

    So what you can do is to install OS using recovery media and see what will happen in the future. Please test extensively with the own operating system preinstalled. Do not install anything that can have some negative influence this game or additional applications, codecs or something similar.

    Hi, I think I got a bad virus on my computer that's all waste.  First of all, it all started when I clicked on a link, while the Christmas on Black Friday shopping. Then I got a download of unwanted software, called system difficulty, (the small icon of Windows) I could not use system restore to remove, whenever I tried to use it, it says cannot restore on this point. Tried several other points, but no joy. Can I get the dreaded blue screen of death with a stop error: 0x0000008e (0xc0000005, 0x804f8e80, 0xef76aa98, 0x00000000). Could sail in safe mode and tried to fix it with antivirus software, found 26, abducted, ran spybot search and destroy, found nothing. Still no joy. So today, I tried to start in safe mode, and it does not work in safe mode, guard reboot again and again.     JoseIbarra is the expert resident on the Recovery Console and chkdsk/r. I'll track down his instructions. If the malware is responsible for the BSOD, I do not think that chkdsk /r will help, but it won't hurt. Or you might need to repair your boot.ini file.

  • Whenever I start my computer, I get the blue screen of death. I'm not getting in what concerns the opening of session and there is no prompt to start in safe mode. Whenever I start my computer the error code and message on blue screen are different.

    I have Windows Vista Home Premium. I was on the internet when my computer screen turned blue and a message told me that a problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down. He said that I had tried to do something with memory executable not executable (I don't have a note of the code). He said as he poured out memory. Now, whenever I start, the blue screen of death gives me different messages and different error codes. Today, he says:

    After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.

    Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

    Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1 in the boot order.

    Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

    When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

    Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

    Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

    Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

    In my case when I turn the laptop for the first time it freezes, displays this error message and restarts normally. On the home screen, it shows me a message send this problem to Microsoft. It is not the HARD drive for sure as I have done everything I know to see if it's the HARD drive that is causing the problem.

    These related to the amd_sata.sys AHCI Advanced Micro Devices 1.2 device driver. Update to win 8.1 should solve this problem.  If it isn't, you should check for motherboard update update BIOS and drivers.

    Location: Try to update Windows Vista SP1 my computer hung up.  After a cold reboot, I got a BSoD (blue screen of death) with the error 0x0000C1F5 code.

    Current problem: whenever I try to boot Vista I get the same error during the vista loading screen.

    I tried the safe mode, the last correct log on the thing, and even a system restore disc that I downloaded from PC World.

    None of these online solutions have worked.

    If the laptop can not be recovered using the recovery disc, then it feels the hardware problem.
    Are you sure that your recovery disc is OK?
    Have you tried to install the OS using another installation disc?

    Symptoms: Booted computer, loaded the raid drivers and showed at the start screen XP for half a second then to BSOD with a Stop error Code 0x0000007E - see also a lot of users (0xC0000001D, 0 x-, etc.) as well.

    Solution:

    1 boot from your Windows XP CD and start the recovery console. You may need to press F6 while RC loads in order to load the SATA drivers. you will have a prompt c:\WINDOWS to the console.

    2. type: CD $NtUninstallKB977165$ \spuninst (it's the update, I had to uninstall to get out of the boot loop, other updates can be uninstalled by changing the name of the directory to $NtUninstallKBCODE$, where KBCODE is the code KB)

    3. type: BATCH spuninst.txt

    4. type: exit

    Don't forget to configure your system to boot from the HD before resuming. I hope this helps. Saved me a lot of hassle today.
