• DW 2014CC 1.1 build 6981 continues to display a "Server busy" error when you start the application.

  After clicking on the icon of DW in my Windows start 8.1 the flash screen opens and crashes until a pop-up dialog box appears asking me to select which instance of DW I want - there is no other instance running.

  The two dialog box options "switch to...» ' or 'Retry '. Try clicking the exit cross is not possible and 'Retry' has no observable effect.

  On tapping "switch to...» "button immediately shows the start menu, so I select the DW icon. This Mulberry Bush happens several times until the DW workspace appears but is unusable until I cleared a few cases most of the dialog box. Often the session of DW dialog box appears again to clear manually.

  This happens (so far) on my workstation, no cell phone,

  Thanks, looks that I fixed it. From your link, I actually found a thread to which you answered more than two years, briefly mentioning Norton Internet Security. The firewall in the said security has been on automatic. I just changed to 'ask me what to do' and I added Dreamweaver to its list of programs.

  I don't get the error message, so I'm confident that it's fixed because Dreamweaver now opens really quickly (whereas before, [even if it only gives me the "Server busy" error] it took forever to open it.) So thanks; what you have posted more than two years in an old thread was exactly the thing I needed to read. LOL :-)

  Follow these steps,

  1. launch the Adobe Digital Editions software

  2. maintain program ADE in activity on your screen, press and hold Ctrl + Shift + D keys.

  -you will get a window to leave clear (ADE 2.0) & Deauthorize (ADE 1.7.2)

  -Withdraw the authorization of ADE and the re-launch.

  3. go to help > allow the computer (in ADE 2.0) & library > authorize (by ADE 1.7.2, usually you will be asked to authorize when you start the program).

  I suggest to put the computer in a clean boot state and then try to scan the document and check if it helps.

• Firefox 40.0.3 is a disaster. I constantly, constantly getting error 404, same visitors sites to present no problem. That is what it is?

  Since I installed 40.0.3, Firefox has been problematic, constantly sends me 404 errors that I have to search the Web or visit the sites to display without problem. It has gotten to the point where I went to OmniWeb, even if it's just as buggy, if not more. Yet, I can at least visit most of the problematic sites on Omniweb after getting the 404 on Firefox. Firefox has always been a big eater of memory, but I could live with that. These 404 errors are driving me crazy.

  An example is the site of the game from the Washington Post. When I try to play daily crosswords and click on 'Play now', I always get the 404.

  Do you have MS Outlook installed on your computer?

  Windows mail import and export opportunities are limited to an Outlook .pst file or an Exchange Server mailbox. They are available only if MS Outlook is installed.
  If MS Outlook is not installed and you start an import or export action, the necessary support files are not present for Windows mail complete the operation. Then I suggest you to install Outlook temporarily and see if the problem is resolved.

  Follow the instructions below and check if the problem is resolved.

  1. reboot your computer, and then start Windows Mail.
  2. on the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. in the connection tab, click on edit to open the Internet Properties dialog box.
  4. in the tab programs, click on an application other than Windows mail e-mail in the e-mail list. Click on apply and then click OK.
  5. click OK again to close the Options dialog box.
  6. exit Windows mail and restart Windows mail.

  If this does not work, I suggest you upgrade to Windows Live Mail to import or export messages that may help you resolve the issue.
