  • Autonomous SX20 removes calls with WebEx CMR room after 12 min

    Good afternoon

I've deployed SX20 two autonomous units and have a new WebEx CMR account configuration as well. When I make a call from one of the unit in my personal room of the CMR ([email protected] / * /), he established yet restless at exactly 12 minutes. Some information about our deployment as of today:

    • Both SX20-end point connects to the internet through our edge ASA (5510)

      • I configured ACL entries to allow outgoing calls from internal IP addresses of these two unit at ALL by the following
      • TCP 1720, 2776, 443 AND 5061-2777, 5060-80, 389
      • UDP 1721-1722, 2326-2486, 16384 TO 32766, 36000-59999
    • The two end-point SX20 is configured to use H323 in Direct mode
      • We do not have a VCS or any other device acting as h.323/SIP gateway
    • The two end-point SX20 is able to call each other, without any problem

I have a TAC case open about it, but I wanted to see if someone else might have experienced similar problems and get a glimpse. Thanks in advance!

If you use H323, yes then remove the H323 Associates commands. Out of curiosity, why not use you SIP?

The SAA doing deep inspection of packets on the sessions, when media is flowing there is no package that flows and the ASA who sees a link expired and cut off the communication. You need to change the H323 settings, if you want to leave it on, but it's more work than its worth (IMO).

  • Cloud of CLEARPath LTRF/FEC and WebEX (CMR hybrid, but probably applies to full as well)

I noticed when my 8710 connects to the cloud of WebEX via SIP Clearpath LTRF/FEC was not supported.

Did anyone else see this? Everyone knows if they are going to add it as a feature?

    Hello

ClearPath is currently supported only on the server of telepresence, telepresence MCU and the TC / EX series endpoints. Calls set up to other devices, including the cloud WebEx will not negotiate ClearPath.

  • Webex Cloud CMR SIP video calls disconnect after 20 seconds

    Hello

I am running version 9.1 with Exressway-C CUCM / 8.6 Expressway-E.  I have no problem doing business SIP video calls.  However when I make video calls on a site of WebEx CMR, the call becomes still cut off after 20 seconds.  It is audio and video for the first 20 seconds and then disconnects the call.

I was able to recreate this situation of 3 of my clients running CUCM version 9.

I have 2 clients running CUCM v10.5 and the issue is not the case.  I don't know if this question is 100% related to the CUCM version, but looks like a correlation obviouse.

I watched the SIP trace and it seems that the endpoint CUCM is end the call with normal call clearing.  I tried 8945 phones, jabber for iphones and a C40 and I get the same results.

If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Can you receive calls B2B? During the call set up, Webex will try to set up another session TCP inbound to your E Expressway on port 5060 and 5061, do you have this open to outside within the TCP sessions? (see page 5 of the CMR-Cloud deployment guide: http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/sol...)

If they are open, the TCP session is configured for an incoming invitation with complete SDP of the TPS Cloud, you can check your sip max message size is located at 11000 - if you went from CUCM ~8.6 5000 was the default size and the default continues for an upgrade.  Check under system-> Service settings-> CUCM service-> show click on the button to display all options, and then check the size of incoming messages SIP advanced Max.

  • Hybrid CMR SIP of simultaneous connections without WebEx

    Hi all!

I am happy to say that I have standing hybrid CMR and it works fine.  We have a range of aliases for the booking of CMR hybrid sessions, all users are enabled for this feature (we have not announced it yet) and all the test great job case... except that if I have a user with an active connection hybrid meeting CMR (SIP) to webex and another user has reserved for this same type of appeal for the whole of the Conference which is already go ends and the new conference will not start.  This is the only scenario where this happens.  I think I missed something allowing simultaneous meetings, someone has any ideas?  I read the guide again and again and I saw nothing about this.

A conductor must use unique identifiers to conferences of reference and changes it is to them.  Have you looked at full details of one of these WebEx Conference in MSD that is scheduled by using the smart Scheduler.  Nothing stands out when comparing it to a conference planned by the complete MSDS Scheduler?

Looking at the configuration of your conductor, I would at least make the following changes:

    • Alias: (8887\d{4})(@domain\.net)?
    • Name: Company WebEx enabled telepresence - \1

{The first part of the alias will match 8887 and your 4-digit variable, e.g. MSDS: 88871000, where \d{4} will match any number which is 4 digits long.  You can even change it 88871\d {3} If you want to get more accurate given that your variable TMS is always have a 1 in there unless you happen just to schedule more than 1000 conferences at the same time.

The way I have the alias divided into two parts with the parenthesis, IE: (8887\d {4}) and (@domain\ .net)? will allow the digital section to correspond with or without a domain name.  This will also allow the digital section of the alias to add the name of conference, so it is easily identifiable if you manage to connect to the gateway of the Conference for a reason, and it will not create any confusion or risk of conflict if it was to occur.

  • Configure Jabber for Mac with local CUCM and WebEx Connect

Hi, I was wondering if someone could set up the Jabber client Mac 8.6.2 to use the server of presence of WebEx Connect with a local farm the CUCM and connection of the unit. The tab preferences accounts show or allow the addition of voice services. I added work CUCM preferences plist file local, which, according to me, are the correct entries, however I still can't see the accounts under the Preferences tab. We currently do not have a presence server local cisco where the obligation of trial WebEx Connect Server because I can't get past the first step of configuration without it.

    concerning

You must connect to your Webex portal and activate these settings to connect.  Once they are allowed, log out/log in Connect and you should be able to configure CUCM TFTP, etc..

    Hello

What is happening on each PC with OL2007 or only some?

How do you install the productivity tools?

    You can try the following:

    1. uninstall the productivity tools

    2. close Outlook

    3. MSI productivity tools download file (ptools.msi) and save it to your desktop

4 Ran as administrator command prompt (click with the right button on the prompt in the start menu > programs section and select run as administrator)

    5. navigate to the directory where you saved ptools.msi

    6. run the following command (replace "webexsitename.domain.com" with the URL of your WebEx Site):

    / q of MsiExec.exe /i "ptools.msi" SITEURL = 'https://webexsitename.domain.com'; OI = 1

This is an installation in silent mode, so wait 5 min and check in Control Panel > programs and features if the PT is installed.

    7. Once installed, start WebEx Wizard and you connect to your WebEx Site.

    8. start Outlook and check if the WebEx options appear in the Ribbon.

I hope this will be useful.

  • Metadata for WebEX through proxy stream

    Hello

My client is using WebEX meeting through a proxy server.

Therefore, the port of destination of the WebEX package number is 8080.

In this case, is the package identified by metadata stream?

    Kind regards

    Mitsuhiro

    Mitsuhiro salvation,

If a proxy server is in the path between the customer of WebEx meeting and WebEx's data center. The flow between the client and server proxy will be represented by the metadata stream. Since the proxy to the WebEx datacenter server the flow will not be represented by metadata stream. It should be integration in the proxy to the proxy traversal (think of something similar to an ALG metadata) for metadata.

    [PC]-[proxy] - Internet-[WebEx DC]

[PC] [proxy] will be covered for the metadata.

[proxy] [WebEx DC] is not currently covered by metadata.

In a situation of no-proxy (for example, the video stream below), metadata coverage would be between [PC] and until the NAT/FW.

In the example below, the proxy server is 10.81.74.42 port 9090. The client is 10.4.9.12. There are 4 flows that are representative (control, data, data, and video). Video traffic is UDP traffic and directly by going to the Internet without going through a proxy. In other cases, the video stream itself could have through the proxy server.

  • Integrate TMS with WebEx through a proxy

I'm testing our new server (version 13.2.2). TMS

In the Administrative Toolsin->Configuration-> menusettings of the Conference on MSDS, it is possible to configure the WebEx service information. What I did.

However, it still fails to connect. I think it's because he's trying to connect directly as all connections must go through our web proxy.

Is it possible to configure the TMS through a proxy for integration with WebEx?

    Hi Matthew,

Negative about your question and in fact, TMS dislikes proxies at all. Therefore, to try something like that will give you all sorts of questions eventually.

Keep in mind, and in TMS 13.x.x, this is v1 of Webex. And keep in mind and as announced in the TMS 14.1 release notes, Webex v1 with S & S and LiveMeeting TANDBERG is now gone TMS 14.1 in preparation to support Webex v2. Therefore, if you plan to use Webex v1, then you will stick with TMS 13.x.x.

    Rgds,

    Dale

  • The Sx20 is able to connect to Webex Connect?

    Hello

We plan to deploy cisco Telepresence SX 20

    (1) it is possbile to let someone to participate in the Conference using WebEx?

    (2) do I buy another device to connect to WebEx?

    (3) is it possible to make the conference between another device like polycom videoconferencing?

    Thank you

    Jean Christophe brahim

I think that there is some confusion here about what he asks for responses.

There is a difference between WebEx Telepresence and WebEx Connect. He asks for connectivity to WebEx Connect and the ansswers point to telepresence WebEx (formerly Callaway). The two services are not interoperable without some type of bridge.

    So to answer your questions

Can SX20 connect to session WebEx Connect - short answer is no. But if you have access to the PSTN via a gateway, you can connect audio only.

    (1) it is possbile to let someone to participate in the Conference using WebEx? Yes, as long as they use WebEx Connect or connect audio

    (2) do I buy another device to connect to WebEx? Yes, you can configure a computer to act as a gateway for your SX20 or see if your WebEx account can be activated from WebEx telepresence Setup on the account. (you will need to CUCM (o), (o) MCU, VCS Expressway and TMS)

    (3) is it possible to make the conference between another device like polycom videoconferencing? If you connect the PC/laptop for the SX20 and this codec "joined" the session, you can have the dial on any other Codecs VTC or a MCU SX20.

Teh PC/laptop must have ability to Athens to take in audio and video from the camera and the microphone, then pass that to the session WebEx can have the WebEx returned to the CODEC and audio program.

See a product of Vaddio called the easy Vaddio USB AV bridge I've never used this product as I've always used separate A / V devices to accomplish the same thing, but I think if I have to, once again, I would explore this option.

  • The personal safety of CMR premise

    Hello

I'm testing the personal CMR (TMS 14.5, 1.3 TMSPE, conductor XC2.4.1 with a TS 4.0).

I have installed the TS under the conductor, the preference of installation service and a ' Feem - me "location with a specific IP address. On the CUCM set up a SIP trunk in this conductor "meet - me" IP address. On MSDS, I provissionned my user with TMSPE and on the parameters of my group, has added the conductor and created a model of CMR. I went on my personal of CMR and created my conference page.

I wonder if I'm missing something but: is the Conference PIN, the only available for CMR staff on site security?

    • No participant host AND PIN/passwords strengthened to ensure that the Conference does not begin until the host has joined?
    • No mechanism to block additional people to join during execution meeting back to back to make sure that participants of the meeting could not reach on the first meeting until it is unlocked?
    • Any way to force a user to change the PIN code after each conference / multiple use of the Conference?
    • No automatic report to the host after a conference

If there is only a conference PIN (that no one will ever bother to change), which prevents anyone from using my meeting room personal hosting his own meeting, without realizing me it, said once the Conference address and the PIN?

Am I missing something, or this type of security features do not exist in the CMR version on site?

With your current version of the software, the only thing available is the single PIN that you noted.  As you mention, if you go to 14.6 TMS and TMSPE 1.4, you can use separate host and invited him pines when it is configured with a server of telepresence using conductor.

There is no method to block a person to join a conference once they know someone address CMR and pine, unless the PIN is changed by the user.  That said, there is no way to force a user to change the PIN code, it is something that the user have to get used to if they would like to do for extra security.  No report of any kind, a Director of MSDS may be able to take CDR data for the user, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

  • Mac Pro does not sleep

    Hello

I noticed, that my Mac Pro (end 2013) with El Capitan is not going to sleep more, neither automatically nor manually by using the Menu.

The screen goes black, but she is still ongoing. I tried the command "assertions of g - pmset" in the terminal, but there is nothing to prevent the Mac to sleep. Same thing with the activity in the Power Saver tab monitor. I also did a CMR and Reset the Pram.

I think that the last backup may be the problem: I got a Macbook Pro, and I used the Macbook backup, to restore the Mac Pro.

It's just a long shot, but I probably put the setting of night never inside the control panel of the Macbook, and this setting is not available on the Mac Pro.

Which is causing the problem? Or does anyone know another solution?

    Thank you!

    See you miss something here:

If your Mac does not sleep or wake up when expected - Apple supports

    • Try to sleep manually and note the time that you do. After a minute or two open the Console application in the Finder > Applications > utilities and look for log entries associated with low-power or sleep mode. Suspicious message here.

My MP 2013 will also not sleep and I was not able to fix it without a new installation. If I can migrate users defining and app who won't sleep.  You will probably see journal entries that say, in output mode, low power, I.

  • Is mandantory CUCM CWMS

I have a client who wants to use CWMS purely to the desktop sharing and control.  No audio conference is required. The customer does not CUCM for the telephone system, and they do not want CWMS to call and dial a number for audio.

    CUCM is mandatory for CWMS?

Cisco will support a standalone CWMS without CUCM integration?

    Hello

If you don't want to use the functionality of teleconference of the product and do not plan to import users of CUCM/LDAP and authenticate you using CUCM/AXL, I don't see why you would need CUCM.

You will not just set up the Audio section of the solution to use WebEx Audio, and instead the system only support option "voice connection with the help of computer. You will not be able to disable both types of audio conference feature. You must have at least a permit, and in your case, it would probably be the "Voice connection with the help of computer" option.

    I hope this helps.

  • SG500XG-8F8T identity crisis

We have two SG500XG-8F8T switches that have initially setup as independent switches. We tried to stack them using native stacking using ports 15 and 16 on each switch with SFP cables. They would never stack correctly. However, in trying to solve this, we have a problem. Took one of the switches on the S/N and the MAC of the other switch and little matter we don't do we get it back to its own S/N and the MAC as shown on the chassis label.

I have unplugged all connections to the switch in question except a connection to the serial port of the machine we use it to manage and tried factory reset (both using the reset button being held for more than 10 seconds) and all the way up to 30 seconds on another attempt which resets the configuration. It is remove the startup-config. However, the switch come always return displays S/N and a MAC of the second switch.

Basically the two switches are now reporting the exact same S/N and MAC while the installer in stand-alone mode, battery and with the one in question completely disconnected from everything on the network, including the other switch, and it will not always correctly reset to its own S/N and the Mac.

Any thoughts on how to solve this problem?

    Hello Erik,.

I'm really sorry for the inconvenience that you are experiencing.

This is a rare problem, but fortunately, there is a way to fix it.

    Please call us at the:
    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/support/Web/TSD-Cisco-small-business-support-center-contacts.html

so, we can open a ticket, make a WebEx session and re-enter the SN and MAC address on the switch.

Please note that you will need access to the switch CLI.

    Kind regards
