  The computer really closes or is that only a reboot? The latter I think that everything is ok with your laptop. If you use the Toshiba recovery disc, the computer starts quite often until the installation is complete, this could happen 10 times.

  If your laptop really stops immediately, I think that it s a hardware malfunction and you should contact the nearest authorized service provider. In my view, that the technicians can help you! :)

  This can be caused by the failure of one of your cartridges.  Remove the black print cartridge and print a test page (there will be an error message about the missing cartridge, but it still needs to print).  The printer prints at a normal speed?  Is therefore the black cartridge was the issue and needs to be replaced.  If it isn't then, put the black back cartridge in and remove the color cartridge and the test page printed.  If the printer now prints speed the color cartridge is responsible and must be replaced.

  The solution for slow printing is the print spooler reset.

  When we press the Windows key + R, a window opens. This is called the immediate window.

  I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers and check. Lexmark is not Windows 7 compatible drivers for the printer. So, you can download the drivers for Windows Vista and install in compatibility mode.

  Follow the steps to install in compatibility mode:
  a. right click on the driver installation file and select Properties and then tap or click on the compatibility tab.
  b. check the box run this program in compatibility mode .
  c. press or click the menu drop down and select a previous operating system, and then tap or click OK.

  I don't see how someone can offer you promising ideas knowing more about your system.  The best you can get is speculation on what might work sometimes maybe. All we seem to know is what sort of a Presario V5000 with XP (there are a lot of different V5000s).
