Follow the instructions to transfer video from Comcast DVR:

    1. connect your data (USB or Firewire) cable to the DVR unit.

    2. on your computer, double-click 'my computer '.

3 scroll through the list of readers until you see a player that specifies the DVR unit.

    4. it can be labeled as a digital video recorder, or it can be labeled as a hard drive or a generic storage device.

5 double-click on the drive DVR to open it. In a separate window on your computer, open the folder you want to transfer the files to.

  • Convert dvr - ms with a right-click format .wtv doesn't exist despite what instructions help Windows say. ___

Windows 7 help and support says to "convert recorded TV (.wtv) file to an older format go the folder where your recorded TV files are stored (usually C:\Users\Public), right click on the file you want to convert and then click on convert to .dvr-ms Format.»

When I right-click on these files there is no option to "Convert to .dvr-ms Format." is there a way to do this, or a parameter in the folder to allow this?

I don't know why your computer does not have this option.  If your computer has the conversion program: C:\windows\ehome\wtvconverter.exe.  If this is the case, you can run it from a command prompt window (Start >all programs > Accessories > prompt ) by entering these commands:

    CD /d c:\windows\ehome
    wtvconverter
    sourcefile targetfile /ShowUI

    where:

sourceFile = full path of the .wtv file you want to convert
TargetFile = full path of the .dvr-ms file that you want to create
/ShowUI (as an option).  If so, show the progress of the conversion in a separate window

    For example:

    CD /d c:\windows\ehome
    wtvconverter
    "C:\users\public\public tv\TV Show.dvr - ms recorded" /ShowUI 'C:\users\public\public tv\TV Show.wtv recording'

To convert a whole folder of .wtv files .drv-ms format, use this command:

    wtvconverter sourcefolder\*.wtv/ShowUI

    For example:

    wtvconverter "C:\users\public\public recorded tv\ * .wtv ' /ShowUI

  • Equium L20-198: what DVD burner are compatible

    Hello.

The combi CD / DVD writer on my laptop decided to give up the ghost.
In my view, there is a good choice of burners 'slimline' designed for portable computers out there, but I was warned that not all burners are compatible with all PC.

Apart from one obvious Mat * like one already installed, someone could you please recommend or advise the slimline burners will be compatible with Toshiba laptops, or better yet my model in general or at least advise what brands are known to be incompatible with computers laptop toshiba.

I would be extremely grateful for any help you could give. :)

    Thank you very much
    Steve.

You are right. Not all CD/DVD drive are compatible due to different master/slave/c-salt settings.

But I ve discovered DVD Super Multi Pinan could be compatible:

    -MATSU * A (UJ-841BTQ-A)
    -HLDS (GSA-4082N. ATAKN0)
    -Pioneer (DVR-K16TBA)
    -TEAC (DV-W28EA)

You can also order the compatible CD/DVD player with ASP in your country.

    Hello

First of all, you should check in Device Manager if the CD/DVD drive can be recognized correctly. If there is no yellow exclamation, then the software (driver) does not run correctly!

In such cases, it s advisable to remove the ODD (CD/DVD drive) Device Manager and restart the laptop. After restarting again the operating system should recognize and must initialize the disk again.

    Please check first!
    Best regards

It seems that ODD drive has a problem of calibration and impossible to define the objective in the right position. What do you think about this?

  • VRD - MC6 co using burn a DVR recording

I had connected my recorder VRD - MC6 to attactch to my DVR to record a record on a DVD, and it worked. Tried to repeat this feat and am getting an error message waiting for entry. Obviously, something is wrong but don't know what. Follow the instructions in troubleshooting disconnect without result. Any suggestions?

    Hello

The recorder cannot record movies protected against copy or television programs. Recording movies protected against copying is not supported. Test your VRD - MC6 by selecting a different channel in the DVR.

  • Sam L20-183: Pioneer DVD - RW DVR-K16S cannot read DVD

    Hi all!

I have the Satellite L20-183 with Pioneer DVD - RW DVR-K16S player. This is a new computer, I bought it a week ago. The problem is very strange, after several days of use of the laptop drive does not read or write DVD! The process of reading or writing with the CD is excellent. Who is wrong? I didn't change the firmware or something like that. I don't really know what to do. I can't reinstall the system since the Toshiba Recovery dics's on DVD and it won't start...

    Help, please

    email: [email protected]

    Artur

    Hi Artur

Try to remove the drive from Device Manager and reboot your device. After restarting the OS should reinstall the drive. Then try to play the DVD.
Well, I also read a few topics in the forum a similar car problems and it seems that you are driving can has a calibration problem. In this case, you should replace the disk. I think that it isn't a reason to be angry. Your device is under warranty and all replacements must be done for free.

  • What DVD players are compatible with Equium A60 PSA67E?

my question; What dvd players are compatible for an equium a60 (psa67e-001001en)?

background; I did a very stupid thing! while I was at the Japan and about 18 months after buying my a60 in the United Kingdom, the packaged dvd player. I replaced it with a teac dvd player and it worked like a dream! I threw the old disk (I think it was a matsu * has, but can't remember the exact model). in any case, I came home and had a little time on my hands, so I decided to set my machine and corrupted the windows xp registry.

Now, windows xp runs in the loop, I can't access and I need to wipe the hard drive and start again essentially. I put the recovery disk in, but the computer doesn't read him and desperately wants his wacky way to windows. I believe that it is not recognizing the teac drive that I used to replace the old. I think that if I put an original return type, the firmware can recognize the drive and I'll be back in business... or so I hope!

of course, all the other tips would be welcome too! Thank you.

work around? PS a work around, I thought so... copy the contents of the diskette of recovery on a hard drive (using my old computer) can change the current hard drive in my a60 with it... theory; When the computer detects the content during the start-up, it will install xp on another part of this drive and I have a working machine once again. could - this something like this work? any thoughts?

    There you should find information.

    I found these:

    Matsu * a UJDA760

    TEAC DW-224TH

It is only a part of the list mentioned in the manual. Check it!

  • How a DVR created in a functional global called by main vi and vi dynamic store its data?

    Thomas_robertson wrote:

Ah... OK, in this case, the post that I made just before yours on an entity that receives requests for creation of DVR and meets with them through messages is an implementation of what the author suggested, correct?

Yes, that might work. Although at this stage, it would be just as easy to create for EVN in the actor, but store them in the FGV, to minimize how much you need to rearchitect. Then, you don't need to send a message to retrieve them, simply create them. Given that the actor has the life and runs constantly (even if he sleeps most of the time so not to consume any time of treatment), references will continue to be valid.

  • Reference queue on a DVR?

    Hi all

I'm trying to track down a bug in my code without success (so far). I tried to check if my problem is caused by a 'feature' in LabVIEW, while I continue to tear (whats left of) my hair...

    Here's what I do:

    • I create my "lines of communication" in my toplevel vi. This is nameless. My toplevel vi is a queue-based state machine. I use OO by reference. The place where I kept my reference is object > DVR > Cluster > queue reference.
    • With the help of the toplevel.vi I run a user interface. I do this using static reference VI > SetVal passes the value of the object/DVR to the UI, then > Run (wait til done wrong) to start the user interface.
    • And here's the problem: when put an element in the queue of the toplevel state machine using the user interface, it is not received by the toplevel state machine.
    • Here's what I looked at in an attempt to find out what the problem
      • The element is placed in the queue without error
      • The references are valid
      • This I noticed is that when I probed the hexadecimal numbers of reference are different - my understanding created a new reference queue by name would give two different references to the same queue in memory (and so they must be closed). But in my case I just create a reference to the queue, put it in my DVR and remove necessary... so, what are the different values?
      • I already used this same architecture in this project, but in this case I did not have references to queue on the DVR - instead I opened new references by name whenever I shared between modules. It worked well... but I'd rather do not restrucutre my code if I can avoid it!

If anyone can offer any suggestions that I can check or even if it is a 'feature' that has developed until I'd appreciate your feedback,

    Thank you

    Dave

I have it... I produced a second reference to queue and too wrote the original - this update the DVR, but not the queue of State machine. Rookie mistake - doh!

  • Manipulation of data DVR - is that correct?

    Hello

I'm new to DVR, but trying to integrate them into my current project. My data are in a cluster, and some things I want to change, while others, I want to just use in a calculation or a setting. For items that I don't want change, can I just ungroup them before the in-place-element (REI) where I change what needs to change? Or this will create a copy of the entire cluster of data?

Also, about the antiderivative of exchange values, I use that correctly? I realized that if Exchange you the old value with the new value, then it will be able to put the new value in a memory space of the old value.

Thanks for the pointers you can give me on this topic!

Right now I'm passing around my data using a FGV. At the end of a test, the data have some great paintings, the size of one can be about 2000 x 20, and I thought it would be more efficient to use digital recorders.

You run into a problem, or you think that the DVR will be "more effective"? A large table takes up the same amount of space whether or not it is encapsulated in a DVR. A DVR serializes access to this table, as does a FGV or a single item queue, and made a normal thread as long as your subVIs that alter this table always pass the entrance through the exit.

I'm not too familiar with the Swap Values function. Should not be used when the data is stored is not unbundle node?

In this case it worsens your code, unless the compiler optimizes out. The multiplication operation works normally in place on top of entry, if he can. However, with values of your Swap, the code now has a copy of the unedited value, as well, so he can exchange - you forced a copy where none was previously necessary. See the screenshot below showing buffer allocations. The version with the swap requires 4 allowances of buffer, the version without works with only 3. Does not clutter your code with unnecessary functions that you do not really understand.
