What is the MTBF for the USB-6009 case

What is the average time between failures (MTBF) for the USB-6009 case?

Hello

Unfortunately, there is no available for the USB-6009 case MTBF.  In order to retrieve this information, there is a cost for our R & D department.  If you need this number, please contact your local representative OR or open a service request to ni.com/ask.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

  • How to configure the PFI0 terminal on the USB-6009 case as came event counter

    I'm watching the 8 inputs on the USB-6009 case and when fires Terminal PFI0 start saving the data.

    Y at - it and why to read the 8 inputs while monitoring the PFI0 terminal? I appreciate any help!

    Hi yacs1,

    You can certainly do.  I assume that you already have your 8 entries read correctly.  Everything you have to do is now to put a statement button in your loop that is controlled by your pfi0 line.  If this line is high, then save the data, if it's low, then only display data of your control.  If you need help reading the pfi line, open finder example under help > find examples.  Then go to the material input and output, reading Dig channel DAQmx, numerical measures.  If you need help logging data, go in Fundamentals, file input and output, and then depending on what type of file you want to write to, find the appropriate example (IE write into text file).

  • Output analog, the USB-6009 case - can I use DAQmxWriteAnalogScalarF64?

    I just got a NI USB-6009 and I try to use the outputs analog simple.

    I'm running on a Mac, so I'll try to use the API OR-DAQmx Base 3.2 C (downloaded from here: http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/1078/lang/en).  This is the most recent version of NOR-DAQmxBase, I could find.

    I try to do continuous analog output on the 6009, which does not have a built-in clock.   I was hoping to do the sync software and just new output values when I want to.

    I can't get an output of database to work.  Other messages and the example of Windows files, (e.g., National Instruments/NOR-DAQmx Base/examples/ao/MultVoltUpates-SWTimed.c) it seems that the best thing to do would be to use the DAQmxWriteAnalogScalarF64 function.

    However, this is not in the Mac version of the C API of NIDAQmxBase.  There is actually an entry for this in the NIDAQmxBase.h file, but it is commented out.  Anyone know why?  Is it possible to use this function for the analog output on request on Mac?

    Thank you.

    Clement

    I have NEITHER-DAQmx Base installed 3.2 on a 10.4.11 system.  One of the examples files 'genVoltage.c' calls DAQmxBaseWriteAnalogF64.  I was able to compile and run this example with a USB-6009.

    The DAQmxBaseWriteAnalogF64 function would work for you?

    My guess is that, since you can write a scalar value with DAQmxBaseWriteAnalogF64, DAQmxBaseWriteAnalogScalarF64 becomes superfluous.  The example provided with the installation shows how to write a unique value (i.e. scalar.).  I pasted the code of OR below.

    int main (int argc, char * argv [])

    {

    Task settings

    Int32 error = 0;

    TaskHandle taskHandle = 0;

    char errBuff [2048] = {'\0'};

    Channel settings

    Char [] = "Dev1/ao0" chan

    float64 min = 0.0;

    float64 max = 5.0;

    Sync settings

    uInt64 samplesPerChan = 1;

    Writing data parameters

    float64 data = 3.25;

    pointsWritten of Int32;

    float64 timeout = 10.0;

    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxBaseCreateTask("",&taskHandle));

    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxBaseCreateAOVoltageChan(taskHandle,chan,"",min,max,DAQmx_Val_Volts,));

    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxBaseStartTask (taskHandle));

    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxBaseWriteAnalogF64(taskHandle,samplesPerChan,0,timeout,DAQmx_Val_GroupByChannel,&data,&pointsWritten,));

    Error:

    If (DAQmxFailed (error))

    DAQmxBaseGetExtendedErrorInfo (errBuff, 2048);

    If (taskHandle! = 0) {}

    DAQmxBaseStopTask (taskHandle);

    DAQmxBaseClearTask (taskHandle);

    }

    If (DAQmxFailed (error))

    printf ("error in DAQmxBase: %s\n",errBuff); ")

    return 0;

    }

    Hope this helps!

  • Why is the selection of the mode disabled in max for NIDAQ-USB-6009?

    I try to use NOR-USB-6009 AO to generate the sinusoidal signal.

    (1) I want to use MAX, but the selection of the mode and frequency are all disabled in the "Analog output" section

    (2) I find a VB example to generate the sine wave, but I received an error message.

    I want to know if the OR-6009 function support limited or not...?

    The attachment includes the screenshot.

    Thank you very much!

    Kevin

    Kevin,

    Yes. Timed software means that the appliance has no internal clock or the buffer. You call the AO write with data point. Then you call AO write later with another data point. Repeat until cooked. This means that the maximum rate of update of the AO is approximately 100 hertz or a little faster. It also means that there is a lot of jitter of synchronization due to latencies of the OS at speeds like that.

    Think about AO on the USB-6009 case as a parameter Variant sometimes of continuous tension for your system.

  • How to open and close an electronic shutter with LabView 8.5.1 using an NI USB-6009 case?

    Also, I need to set up a timer so that the shutter is open for 15 minutes and closed for 30 minutes.  It has to do 500 times.

    The USB-6009 case is a relatively new device, and LabVIEW 8.5.1 is a fairly old software. You should check to be sure that you have the corresponding to your version of LabVIEW (DAQmx) drivers that support of this material. It sounds as if you put it in place to MAX and control the output manually, which is a good sign. I don't have access to the version 8.5.1 and I do not exactly remember which functions he supported, but the attached picture shows a simple diagram in a new version of LabVIEW that would do what you want. Of course, you should test with shorter and less iterations because it takes more than 2 weeks to complete! Add any controls, indicators and the error checking you want.

  • What about the USB 3.0? HP ProBook 4530 s this product to have a USB 3.0 port?

    What about the USB 3.0?
    HP ProBook 4530 s
    Serial number: {removed privacy}

    OS Windows 7 Home premium (Original)

    This product do actually have USB 3.0 port? If so, how do I install drivers for that?

    In the specifications of this model, I can see that there is a USB 3.0 port.
    All 4 usb ports work correctly but I don't see anything like USB 3.0 in Bus USB controllers in Device Manager, I tried to install "ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp53501-54000/sp53671.exe" from the drivers for my product download page. It doesn't change anything in the device but installed a Manager application called "USB 3.0 Host Control Utility" when I opened, it displays a "warning!" Dialog box saying "not found USB 3.0 host controller '.

    Why is this?

    This product do actually have USB 3.0 port? If so, how do I install drivers for that?

    Yes, it is possible that she has a PIN 9 without support 3.0.

    Like I said before, all the usb 3.0 ports that I saw and work at speeds 3.0 have a blue plastic insert.

  • What does the USB debugging?

    When connecting my DROID to my laptop using Windows 7 operating system.  The phone wasn't all that very well... seemed to lock up and not to react.  When I unchecked the DEBUG USB box, it seemed to work perfectly.  What is the USB DEBUGGING, and what that means?

    It is intended for developers and is used to anything if you are not debugging software on the phone.  It can (as you see) interfere with the phone because it adds commands to USB for USB and a few other USB driver can cause a problem.

    With the exception of 'Always On', I strongly recommend against creating one of these options.  always on will slow down the time it takes to charge the droid but keep the screen on when connected to the charger.   If you choose that, go to the options screen and make sure that the brightness of the screen always is 'Auto '.

  • Methods of protection for NI USB-6009

    Hello

    I developed a tester to measure 8 outputs varies between 1-5 V to a power supply Board. But suddenly the meter 6009 got damaged since the problems with rectifier circuits of UUT that caused the volt of entry (230 v AC) to reach the limits of measurement.

    Could someone help me to design/introduce certain protection measures between USE and DAQ unit to avoid happening again?

    It would be really helpful for me if I can solve this problem before the transfer of the tester at the end of production.

    Thank you.

    The USB-6009 is supposed to be a bottom of the line test solution and is not really designed for quality of production systems. As you have discovered, it doesn't have its own internal protection products OR more expensive. I used it before production systems and I killed one like you did it (a week before delivery, no less).

    My only advice is to make sure that all of your grounds are connected and your system is melted, but there is not a lot you can do other than that. Maybe an EE here can provide more wisdom.

  • Oscilloscope for the acquisition of data from the usb-6009 or - example of temporal division for 5 seconds, 10 seconds

    Hey Hey everyone

    I was looking for an example for two-channel oscilloscope virtual using e/s all-in-one of the 14 bits of NI DAQ USB 6009. I tried to research for example BOF time division or s/div for 1 second, 5 seconds, 10 seconds.  but was shocked to find that there is no reference for it. The range of oscilloscoper virtual

    Minimum - 10 micro s / div maximum -10milli second div but there is no example for 1 second / div or 5 seconds / div...  If anyone can guide me. I'm new to labview environment.

    This is the oscilloscope two sample obtained from google search. is there material limitations. ?

    I'm working on continuous 4-channel data acquisition data acquisition using niusb 6009

    The sampling frequency is sufficient for any desired s/div. The sample rate is 12 ksamples / s per channel, so if that meets the Nyquist criteria for the input signal, you can capture it. The number of samples has no effect on that with the exception of the amount of the signal you acquire. Your chart is not stable, if you do not trigger the acquisition. Even as real significance, therefore your emulation seems actually successful.

  • Using the NI USB-6009 case to generate a 12VDC output and output current of 300mA

    Hello

    I use the OR-USB-6009 my power supply for a 12VDC with drive current of 300 solenoid my. Initially, I used a non reverse Op-amp circuit and Inverter circuit operational amplifier to get the + 12V and - 12V output but I could not get the current I required. Should I use a transistor?

    Please find attached photos. Any input would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Adam

    Well, really depend on your piercing circuit.  But I used most systems use the transistor to set the voltage of the device to 0V.  So when your DIO is high, the output is actually 0V (low).  So using a converter chip, your release of the DIO will be sort of the output circuit.  If you get the right IC, then the inverter will give you also a few extra current to drive your transistor.

  • Configuration of the digital output in the USB-6009

    I have a card for the acquisition of data USB 6009. It seems that him when DAQ card is turned on, it is always default to digital output of 'High' or 'floating '. I want to default to 'low '. Is there some setting I want to 'program' the hardware DAQ to have all the outputs low when it is powered on the value? Right now I have manually enter MAX and adjust the level 'low '. Thank you very much for your help.

    Sid05,

    Yes, it's low of 820 ohms. Unfortunately, the way in which the system is built, it is the only choice you have without having to build external circuits such as SnowMule suggested.

    AK2DM,

    Thanks for pointing the USB-6000. Finally a real, if limited, the DAQ hardware.  Nevermind, he was only 4 DIO lines.

  • What is the USB dongle? Is how important it?

    On the cable USB runs that came with my Clip + there is a small dongle in the Middle, more near the mini usb plug. Is it a fuse? Is how important it? I noticed a lot of people say they have used any old random other USB cable without problem on the Sansa Clips. But it seems atypical of a USB cable to get a dongle/fuse in the middle like that. Also, if I use this cable with other devices (like my phone), so I don't have that for the operation of a cable autour, the dongle/fuse will affect it? Thank you.

    Fine to use other cables USB with the Clip; fine to use the USB cable with other devices.  The dongle is supposed to help clean up the signals.  Here is some information I found; others will have probably more.

    Ferrite cores are used around cables for electromagnetic interference (EMI)
    deletion. They reduce foreign currents in the wires produced by
    Grand, near radiofrequency fields as radio AM, TV transmitters
    transmitters, radio amateur, edge radio, etc. These currents, while
    generally not strong enough to cause damage, can disrupt the sensitive circuits
    computers or devices causing data errors. Use of these cores will be
    no effect on the transfer of the desired data from the camera to the computer
    via the universal serial (USB) Bus.

  • What type of support for labview usb protocols?

    Hello guys I want to connect a device to your pc via a usb port and I want to use labview to analyze the data.

    But first of all, I would like to know what usb protocols support for labview.

    USB, USB CDC and other TMC?

    I ve read labview recognizes a raw device to the usb, but what is? Is it VI to read and send data, or I have to do? If these VI exists, they do the handshake? flow control?

    Thank you.

    Please read the chips and have a look at the USB specification (it is linked to in the nuggets).

    TMC, CDC, MAss Storage are all built on the basic USB protocols.

    LabVIEW has no built-in support for one of these classes of devices except Test and measurement.

  • What is input equivalent circuit of USB 6009 PFI0

    The entry USB-6009 PFI0 is the same the analog input circuit stated in manual mode?

    I use the PFI0 to trigger a measurement of voltage and it works a lot using a HP function generator.

    When I try to drive the low entrance with my circuit looks like there's a pull up resistance to + 5 on the entry of PFI0 terminal.
    This entry PFI0 will accept an output of comparitor from 0 to 15 volts with being damaged?

    Kip

    Here is my solution to operate the PFI0 TTL digital input using a CMOS comparator.

    I use a 2N4401 npn transistor.

    Connect the transmitter to the ground terminal.

    Connect the manifold to the PFI0 (there is a pull-up internal resistance to the 6009).

    To connect to the Base of a voltage divider that limits in input current and decreases the CMOS voltage to TTL levels.

    In my case I'm going to 0 to + 15 so my voltage divider is 4.7 k and 2.2 kohm to fall to 0-5 volts.

    It is an Inverter circuit so your sense of trigger will go head on falling edge, or vice versa.

    I hope this helps someone.

  • Proposal to expand the scope of an analog pathway for a USB-6009 or similar device

    I'm sure that someone thought to how reduce an analog input voltage to an acceptable range for the data acquisition device that they use. I'd be interested to see what has already been written on the subject. In the meantime, I enclose an exel sheet spread detailing my own approach to this situation.

    3. Non-inverting op-amp circuit.

    Signal conditioning circuit is now quite cheap and reliable.  For me, it is better to buy something off the shelf, because in the future it will be easy for people to follow my design as well.
