I can't get my internal microphone to work properly.  During playback, my voice sounds like I am taking the floor in a kettle + it is barely audible and resonates as I am 1 million miles, speaking via a satellite connection.  I contacted the technical support of HP, was on the phone for about 3 hours during 2 days; I came home yesterday, the laptop (HP ENVY dv7 - 7333cl Notebook PC) at Costco, where I exchanged for an identical one that has the same problem.  On their recommendation, I downloaded a new audio driver, made updates, and last night I did a full system recovery, but, alas, no better... • When I plug in an external microphone.

I want to use an external mic on the TouchSmart 600-1120 but am unable to know where to plug it in. Read the best user Guide is 'J' illustration on page 8 in the box to cover connector.

I see the Guide States, that plugin on the plug hole helmet on the side is should not be used for microphone. So I just need to figure out who jack to use.

    Hello

As mentioned above, a few microphone MAY work. Looks like that she does not accept the microphone - as mentioned on another answer, try the USB sound card or headphones.

    Kind regards.

  • I have a MacBook Pro (mid-2012) with the audio jack single. Why not recognize it when I plug a microphone inside?

I have a MacBook Pro (mid-2012) with the audio jack single. Why not recognize it when I plug a microphone inside?

I use a splitter cable, and have verified meter that it is properly connected.  Also the microphone that I try to use the works when connected to a separate Recorder device, so I know who works very well.

The audio output on a 2012 port does not support the audio input.  You will need to use the USB ports for audio input.  This will require an appropriate hardware and software.

    Ciao.

  • How to get a popup when the device is plugged into the audio input jack?

Original title - card Audio HELP

I have a small problem that should be pretty easy to answer. A quick response would be nice. I'm new on Windows 8, and when you plug a device into the audio jack, a box used for poster asking which device is connected. Now that the box appears when I plug in a device. How do I get it to appear again? I have Windows 8, with player realtek HD audio. More info can be provided.

    Hello

This problem can occur because of incorrect audio settings. Let's try a few steps to solve this problem.

    Method 1:
As you use Realtek HD Audio, I would suggest trying the following steps and check if it helps.

    Enable auto-popup
    a. press the Windows key + X, choose Control Panel, select hardware and audio.
    b. scroll and select Realtek HD Audio Manager.
    c. click the icon for folder just above and to the right where it says analog panel back and just below the device's advanced settings.
    d. click Activate dialog popup automatically when the unit is plugged in.
    e. click OK twice.

    f. now, restart the computer and check the issue.

    Method 2:
If the problem persists, I suggest you to set the headphone or speaker that you connect as a default value, and check if it helps.

    (a) right click on the volume icon in the system tray and then click on "recording devices".

    (b) right click on the space empty in the window pop up and then select "Show disabled devices" and "Show disconnected devices".

    (c) right click on the headset and then click on 'Activate'.

    (d) (d) mettre put out the microphone, then choose "set as default device".

    (e) click apply and Ok.

Hope this information helps. Answer the post with an up-to-date issue report to help you further.

  • Reference Audio Dell - will automatically switch on the headphones when you plug them.

    XPS 9350 - 10 Windows

Can I do Audio Dell (or something) automatically route the sounds of my helmet when I plug them?  I saw no option in the Audio from Dell menu to toggle this option.

I do a bit of work to the library of my school, which means I have to be quiet.

The problem is that when I plug my headphones, I have to wait for Dell Audio for pop - up and then I have to confirm my selection of "headphones with microphone" above all sound will go to them.  Then only will be moving to my helmet.  While I do this, my computer starts hanging and beep all the recent notifications for anyone nearby to hear, until I do the confirmation.

To make things worse, if I plug my headphones on the Windows lock screen, and then log in, Dell Audio pop up just never came up. However, I still give it Windows notification Center make me notice, but it is non-interactive.  Then I have to unplug the headphones, expect that all of the alerts saying I have disconnected something go, then plug the new.  If I wait more for alerts clear selection Windows Audio Dell don't is not loading.  Once again, beeps and dings are once I have connect and do all this.

Of course, it's just as much I na not mute until I closed the lid, the last time that I used it.

SOLUTION: the context menu is not clear.

If you check the option at the bottom telling not to appear whenever something is plugged in, it will automate just about whether you connect (at least I can assure you that for "headphones with microphone").

The way that the radio button is made, simply looks like it's supposed to just disable the pop up and nothing more.

  • my headphones (or headsets) does more work when plugged into the audio input jack

I have a 2010 27-in. iMAC.   I am running Yosemite 10.10.5.   Recently I can't get audio on the audio jack that I always used with my helmet.  Have tried the other sons of contact as well as the apple earbuds.  Audio is great internal speakers.

When you plug your earphones sound still come through the internal speakers?

When you plug in your headphones, you see those as an option in preferences-> sound-> release system?

  • No sound when the headset is plugged into the audio input jack

When I plugged headphones into the audio jack, there is no sound.  The noise comes from the internal speakers.  I just installed System Mechanic and ran a system of analysis.  I don't know if the registry has been changed or what.  It is not a problem with the headphones; I tried another helmet and have the same problem.  The phone detects the headset, an icon in the Notifications area saying that a device has been connected.

  • Re: No reading on Satellite L305-5894, Realtek HD Audio Microphone

    To the right:

I had the problem after two days.

I bought a microphone so I can register on my computer, but when I plug the microphone I can't hear myself through the speakers (which, in the past, I was always able to do on other machines and the previous operating system), even if I am able to register and listen to the recording.

Unfortunately, being unable to hear yourslef all kind of defeats the purpose, you have no way to monitor your recording levels. I bought a USB mic yesterday, could not make it work, thought it was the problem, he's back today and bought an analog microphone, but I'm still having the same problem.

I spent countless hours trying to find a solution, a solution and have developed with nothing else that a player who shows my voice through the speaker, but with a delay of 1 second. Obviously, if an application can process the microphone of the inputs and outputs for the speakers, then Toshiba AND/OR Realtek should being able to provide a solution for the problem of not having read microphone through the computer's speakers when using a microphone, something that I HAVE NEVER COME ACROSS on ANY OTHER MACHINE or with any other card her I HAVE NEVER USED.

I'm literally begging for a solution to this problem. I'm SURE it can be fixed. Help, please.

    Thank you.

    Hello

It s a series of Toshiba laptops we so I m not very good on the same parameters.
But I have a laptop with a Realtek HD audio chip and Panel, there is a Realtek HD audio Manager utility.
Here, you can change some related settings the microphone and speakers.
In the upper right corner, you might find 'Advanced settings', which controls the plug mic

I recommend you play with these options

And whenever I take off the helmet, I can hear clearly. However the same headphones work with another machine perfectly. I tried all the troubleshooting guides, but can't get my headphones to work with my laptop. Appreciate if a solution can be provided.

  • When I plug my laptop into an amplifier (mixer) I have a strange noise

    I've read about it - http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=20824

but the sounds have not disappeared. Strange thing is that when I do ANYTHING on my laptop - I hear noises that change (for example, when I write this post, move the pointer, opening - closing windows, even when HHD works).
Noises when I am not connected to the power source. Maybe there is a problem with AC/DC adapter?
This situation is unacceptable. I worked on other laptops, and I NEVER had problems of this kind.
I have the intention to buy expensive (for me), audio interface USB or FW, how can I be sure that this situation does not yet exist?

I had a problem very similar to this:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=22626

When I plugged my laptop on my amp I could hear strange noises ringing and a sharp wail, which changed when I moved the mouse and performed other actions on my computer. Like you, this has happened when the laptop was plugged. Don't know if you've already tried this, but I bought a "ground loop isolator' from Maplin Electronics, for about £10. You plug along the audio connection between the amp and the laptop. It has removed any interference and has not resulted in a noticeable loss of sound quality.

    I hope this helps.

  • Satellite C670/C670D - its weird when I plug my headphones

    Hi all

Mainly, I sorry for my bad English, but I have some French and this post was traduce with google translate.

Here, for 2-3 days when I plug my headphones on my PC and I am trying to listen to music it makes me lots of bass, the instrumental... And down a bit, you can hear the voice of the singer. It is very annoying, because it is not terrible.

    _Information Laptop_: Toshiba Satellite C670/C670D.

_Solutions I tried_: (in order of trial)
-Check if the problem is not the cable or the headphone connector.
Comment: The headset works perfectly on my phone with the same music, or even the laptop of my little sister who is exactly the same as mine.

-Go to control panel > sound > property on the audio output > level > balance > back to 0% on the left or the right.
Comment: The voice is back, I can hear the music perfectly, but now I hear a team of very strong of the headphones, the difference between the two when I wear this sense the helmet of two "ears." More when I unplug my headphones, I can hear more on one side of the speakers built-in to laptop.

-Check the "Cancellation of the voice" option is not checked in the property of her.
Comment: The option is not enabled when the headset is connected and that one side is 0% as it is an I had not set aside 0%.

-Perform a system restore to a date prior to the problem.
Comment: The problem has occurred since 31/01/2013. I'm back on the date of 29/01/2013... In vain, always present!

-Check the update driver 'Realtek '.
Comment: I went on the site "Ma - config.com" where I found an updated driver after the hardware detection. Once the update made the same problem again and again.

I get annoyed by this problem that do not allow to appreciate the quality of my helmet on my PC. In addition, the problem is with either the Windows, on Youtube, on VLC disk...

If anyone can solve my problem.

    Thank you in advance!

    Sincerely,
    Drama

    > The problem occurred since 31/01/2013
And what have you done so far? Have you installed or changed something?
I mean that the problem cannot occur without any reason.
I never had such a problem and don't know what can be the right solution, but try to reinstall the sound driver and copy the driver from the Toshiba download page.

Check first and then post comments.

  • When I plug in headphones, they do not work

When I plug the headphones into the audio input socket (not USB), I can't get to work.  I went into the preferences system, click on the sound icon.  I can see the different audio output device.  I have the Digital Out and the receiver of the blue tooth to my sound system.  When I disconnect the headphones, internal speakers is displayed.  The internal speakers work fine when I select them but when I plug the headphones, internal speakers disappear but no substitute not to headphones, or whatever it is when the headphones were at work.

    Hello Fredquatorze,

Several questions to help isolate the issue:

1A this headset has worked with this before iMac?

2 have you tried using this headset with another computer or tried to use a different headset with this iMac?

    3. what version of OS X number is the iMac running on?

    4. what applications have you tested the headset with?

    5. What is the brand of headphones?

As a solution to try that may help would do an SMC reset. You would need to turn off the iMac, unplug the power cord at the back of the iMac (not the wall) for about 15 seconds, then plug it back in and test if the same problem occurs.

You can also start in recovery mode by turning off the iMac, pressing and now the 'command + R' turning on the iMac until you see 'Select a primary language' or four options: restore from Time Machine, reinstall OS X, get online help and disk utility. If you get "Select Language", you select the language and you will see four options.

Go to 'Get help online' and go to a website to test the sound with the earpiece in Recovery Mode. If the problem persists in recovery, be it be a problem with the headphones or a hardware problem with the iMac.

If a different helmet also does not work after trying this, then very probably a problem with the port audio/iMac.

If another helmet works after trying this, most likely a problem with the helmet itself.
