Where is my audio?

I tried to solve this problem, but it seems that mine is unique. I am currently using Adobe first Pro CC 2015.3. I used to use Premiere Pro CS6 and had no problems. But now when I drag a mp4 from my library and put it in my calendar, there is no audio with it. Usually, if you drag a mp4, it comes with a video and an audio section. I know that this file contains audio, so to make sure I wasn't crazy I opened it in Windows movie maker, and of course he had audio. So I decided to test further. I imported the raw images that I used for projects in Premiere Pro CS6 and those also had no audio. Then I thought to import raw audio (wav) files and they worked very well. The closest thing I found useful was the toggling of the audio source. Here is a picture of my calendar. Please note that the mp4 has not come with any audio attached to it. I have yet to find a video file on my computer which has an audio track. The problem must be with the software, but I don't know what. Help, please!

  • Can I control where is the audio output?

I built in sound on my motherboard (Asus Socket 775 using Realtek Audio).  So many times I need to switch between the different audio outputs.  Surprisingly its very difficult to find an external box which accepts audio and can spend 2 or more outputs. Most of us use a helmet, then quality maybe, headphones and speakers a speaker, etc.  Most of us need at least 2 output audio.  In any case, I tried to connect my headset to the rear and side outputs and it sounded identical to the front channel output of channel 2, 4, 6 or 8 in the Realtek audio program.  Really identical.  I went repeatedly back and forth to make sure.  There was a small delay in the sound that passes through when I plugged in the rear (in mode 4 channels) and side (in mode channel 6 or 8).  But the sound itself was the same in all directions.

Does anyone know why it would be the same?  Was it because it was coded in stereo?  Wouldn't the audio program Realtek tries to synthesize multichannel for the side and the rear channels?  Central/subwoofer channel was mono so that makes sense.  And the mic input works fine.

If I could control what output I wanted to use I have a selection of 3 outputs (front, side and rear) to choose from.  Helmet quality, headset for chatting, and speakers.

I realize many computers have outputs audio to the front and back but I don't use that nor do I have the header for this Panel.  I don't know if there is a provision to switch between front and rear exits.  If there was it would be a great addition.

But as everyone knows, it's a pain to switch the outputs in Windows.  You must start sound in the Control Panel, go to Audio off the 5 tabs, choose which output desired, apply, OK.  I put the sound on a shortcut but its still a pain.  And there are often close the application using the audio output as well.  A mechanical switch could be fleeting and the right side of your keyboard or your mouse.  A volume on the same box control would be smarter.  There is always a delay when you adjust the sound in Windows that would be better avoided.  You could do the same for the microphone so he could be muted most of the time, then passed to the headset or a speaker application where you are a little ways away from your desk.  Software switching does just fine.

  • Where is my audio book

  • "No audio device is installed." Where's my audio?

I have a HP Pavilion a6152n Desktop PC, and I'm on Vista 32 bit.  My audio was going well until I installed a GeForce GT545 graphics card.  Now I have no sound.  I don't know which driver to install, because according to Device Manager, no audio device is installed.  I think remember me the Realtek name before.

    Any thoughts?

Some graphics cards seem to disable audio internal, because they take audio over himself.
Have you checked BIOS to reactivate audio internal?

  • First pro 2.0: where's the audio?

    Hello

I just uninstall Premiere Pro CS4, because my processor was too bad for it and installed the test version of Premiere Pro 2.0.

It seemed to work fine, but when I imported a regular .avi file (it was a converted avi mpg), I noticed that the audio track has been completely absent what could I have done wrong? (That's the problem with each avi file that import, sound work on wmp and I should have the right codecs for it, also, I have the k - lite codec pack.) The audio track is not visible, you would not guess that there is one, if you didn't know).

    Please help me

    Blubbel1491

I agree entirely with John T. That's why I asked specifically for DivX/Xvid. It is a format of delivery only for streaming video and is good for this. It is NOT intended to be published and is strongly compressed. Conversion you will get what you need and allow you to edit, but quality strikes took place, and you can never recover.

When you convert, you want to DV - AVI Type II w / 16-bit 48 kHz PCM/WAV Audio. Do not choose anything else for a SD film.

Regarding the CFA and PEK files, this is part of the importing an AV w / Audio PrPro. Rarely, it takes very long to finish, if you work with DV - AVI Type II files first. Other formats/CODECS, like WMV, may take much more time. What often happens is that you import assets, and they never see the little progress bar and begin to edit. Many work stations can do this okay, as long as a consistent asset is not used until it's ready, but often difficult to change, while the process is underway, will result in a crash or a partially compliant Audio file. That's why I mentioned this aspect first.

Then I continued focusing on your description "AVI." For me, this means DV - AVI Type II, but I realized it was just as likely that you chose another CODEC, in an AVI 'wrapper '.

    Good luck

    Hunt

PS - If you have the original film, I just that convert to DV - AVI Type II and let the Xvid/DivX for broadcast delivery ONLY. If you convert your DivX, you will lose a little more quality, and given that DivX has sucked out quality already, you would not do this.

  • Crackling with Thunderbolt resident Audio interface

    Hello

I just bought a new Macbook Pro 15 inch retina, installed with El Capitan 10.11.4 and Logic Pro X, with a new interface reside Audio T4 Thunderbolt, and there is a cracking and sound distortion, crossing the input string. The output is very good. Sometimes the crackling can range from 30 minutes without past and other times it is constant. Unplug and plug cable Thunderbolt and change the port, it can do a little better or worse elsewhere. The crackling and distortion has also nothing to do with the entry levels. I tried:

    • Replace all cables (audio, stroke, etc.).
    • Disconnect other USB devices and even the power of the computer agreement. Also unplugged all other cables, including lunch, from the interface.
    • Purchase of an ALL-NEW resident Audio T4 interface, thinking the problem was inside the unit. It wasn't.
    • Update, uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers to interface
    • Turn off the Thunderbolt bridge under 'network '.
    • Make sure bit depth was the same on the interface and macbook

I read on other musicians recording in trouble with DAWs and interfaces after the upgrade of the El Capitan, but not with this problem. This is my first time to go from a mac to a PC and am quite impressed so far. I'm grateful for any help.

For me, when crackle happens "at any time", it is a good indication of low buffer I/O.

Open CMD-comma logic preferences and click the "Audio" tab at the top. Then, make sure that you are on the "Devices" menu Input and output device are your interface. And nothing below your IO buffer size. try increasing this value to 128, 256, 512 and so on. In other words, the buffer is a small part of the memory where the incoming audio stream is buffered and the CPU can perform any processing required on this subject. If the CPU can't get enough data quickly enough, it starts to sizzle. More a buffer gives the CPU more time to perform a treatment. Usually, this is the case for systems with many things, for example, dozens of simultaneous tracks with many plugins active or slow systems. However, this is not the case for your new, shiny things unless you really have dozens of titles and many plugins per track. Or all of a sudden some background process kicks in and use the time processor and disk, such as a Time Machine backup and others.

Make sure you plugged your audio interface directly to the Mac, not a hub or something. This introduces a latency and the buffer drains faster.

    Give it a try.
