  System Restore is not always a very good thing for applications.

  Reinstall is unlikely to help. But if your accounts are all imap and that you do not have a lot of other data (address book, for example) in Thunderbird, you could start from scratch.

  But before that, you should try Thunderbird started in SafeMode https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird

  You did not indicate EO to leave a copy of messages on the server, so when he downloaded from the server, they have been removed from it.  Go to tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced and check the box leave a copy on the server for the future.

  Menu by default will display the top-level pages, means that if the page is placed at the top level, then this page will appear in the order of the menu void.
