Where's all my menu checkmarks?

Just be reformatted.  Now run Photoshop CC 2014.2.2.  Reformat, it used an earlier version of CC.

All of the checkmarks that were in the menus no longer exist.  That of the lower part of the menu window, showing the document that has been active.  Those in the upper part of the window menu, showing the panels were opened.

Windows 7 64-bit.

Any ideas?

Let's try a Reset preferences first.  That's what I suggest when Photoshop is odd, you know that you do not change anything.

Hold down the CTRL - Shift - Alt from the cold Photoshop start.  If you get the keys to the low enough - quickly and you have to be VERY fast - it prompts you to confirm the removal of your established preferences, which will lead to them all being the default value.
