  I have a table named DOC_DETAILS in which annual is NUMBER and primary key and DOC_TYPE is a type VARCHAR2 (20) and a nullable column. This table contains 40 columns altogether and have about 45 000 records. This table was used heavily in the application and now we are to avoid to display one of the doc_type (say 'DELIVERY') data to the front end application, although this type exists in the database.
  
  For this I intend to create a non-unique index on this column and then I here are two options with me. Please suggest me which option is preferable in terms of performance. Please consider that this table has been used widely in many procedures and views.
  
  Option 1:
  ======
  I can create new view as below and replace the doc_details of table name with that name from view in all areas of the application.
  
  CREATE or REPLACE FORCE VIEWS doc_details_vw
  AS
  SELECT *.
  OF doc_details
  WHERE doc_type! = "DELIVERY."
  
  Option 2:
  ======
  Open each procedure and see in which doc_details table is used and add below where appropriate at the end clause of the where clause.

  Please suggest me which option is best in performance wise. If code maintenance wise Option 1 is better, I'm trying to figure out which option is better in terms of performance.

  In terms of maintainability option 1 is better than if there are other conditions that can occur at a later point in time, that you can include in the view.

  If you are concerned with performance, then by replacing in the places where you use the table will be advised, in case of an increase in the volume of data the views and the query using views can degrade performance.

  Laptop which is better? The cost difference is very big, so I need a legitimate response. I'll be using this laptop for navigation and a little heavy play. Video editing, maybe in the future.

  For me, the key is the processor and in the above case I would seek to i7, but it has a very small hard drive. It's all a personal choice depending on what you use the laptop for.

• MacBook Air storage issues - I have iCloud but using too much data, which is a better solution?

  I have a Macbook Air processor intel and storage 4 GB, I use iCloud for storing all my data, but recently I had a problem with too much use of my data internet home. We are limited because we live in a rural area. So I guess I have two questions: 1) can I use an external hard drive to avoid having to use my iCloud? and if I do which is the best to use external storage drive? I have a lot of files and photos, I am a real estate agent. I got this Macbook Air since September 2015 still invite us to her also. Next question, can I use another Mac with a bigger hard drive instead of the MacBook Air? My son told me in the Macbook air because of its features, but the storage for me is imperative.   You could buy a computer that is running Windows 7 or later, download the. ISO file, create a bootable copy and install it on the computer.

• Hearing and El Capitan. Which version performs better?

  I have updated my OS this weekend at El Capitan and so far, everything seems to have worked beautifully... Until I tried editing a sound file tonight, using a licensed version of CS6 I bought April 2013.  Etime very I cut or silenced a recording section stuttered and jumped until she was almost unrecognizable in the reading. Finally, the program crashed and closed.  This was fairly regularly before the update but not quite as extremely or also from the outset in the edition.  I have a subscription to creative cloud too, but don't use it for hearing.

  Y at - it an update for CS6 or hearing in CC would work better with El Capitan?

  Sorry... no upgrade for CS6 and it won't.  This is an old version, replaced several years ago by the CC range 4 or five versions have been for CS6 and Adobe announced earlier that they improve is more CS6.

  That said, I've heard talk about people getting CS6 work in El Capitan.  All the problems are mostly with the drivers for your hardware audio as with hearing (indeed a number of manufacturers of audio interface issued firm recommendations DO NOT to go on the road to El Capitan).   I might be interesting to see if there is any updates of your audio drivers.

  Second, when you went to El Capitan, do you have the absolute latest version?  I know that Apple were aware of the problems that they caused and made several upgrades to fix a bug since the disaster of the original.

• To create the GUI with Adobe CC but which package is better to use?

  I have a subscription (instead of find yet another package to use) and the CC thought that there should be something that I can use to create the necessary icons.  Would like to be pointed in the right direction about what software CC I could use.

  Yes, and it shows... Really ugly stuff. Anyway, there is nothing there fancy that couldn't be created with the most simplistic in Photoshop layer styles, if the items must be scalable. Otherwise of course you would in Illustrator...

  I agree with Justin.

  The main performance benefits is that it is useless to send back data on the network, in addition, stored procedures are strongly coupled with the database and stored in port form. This means that data manipulation commands are treated much more effectively, that would be the case if an external program has been used. The other advantage is that stored procedures will run on the server hosting your Oracle database and that is usually much more powerful than computers running the client software.

  Both are just as good, but 10g might have more value because most suppliers use 10g and can wait another 1-2 years of upgrade to 11g. So I suggest you only take 10g new features OCP first and then 11 g for administrators. And in a year you can go for 11g certification, so you'll be more marketable.

  Depends on what you need to do: what the media, what treatment you do and how much money you want to spend.  Take a look at our website for Premiere Pro spots where bad has a large amount of information on the construction of a video editing system.  This is part of what you want but probably the most demanding part.
